  1. That is not what the article says, or is King quite happy to publish an untruth, if so, what credence does that give the rest of his article.
  2. You will have to inform Darrell King that it is bollox, he wrote the article. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/spl/rangers/exclusive-graham-duffy-outlines-his-plans-for-a-supporter-led-takeover-of-rangers-football-club-1.989026
  3. I notice that Duffy claims King contacted him, not the other way round. How many people have you spoken to regarding forming a consortium? "I have been in discussions with a handful of individuals, some more than others, whose identities shall remain private. I wished for the discussions taking place and the individuals involved to be anonymous – including myself. When you contacted me a month ago, I stressed my desire to have the plan progressed further before going public. Unfortunately, someone who knows me personally breached a trust and gave my details to another member of the press, and I decided to go public last week."
  4. Meanwhile back on the football front Boyd throws doubt on talks. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/388392586?-11344
  5. Now that you have established Murray is in control and not the bank, it is a starting point for forming some sort of strategy to rest that control from Murray, a good starting point would be one central body for fans to unite behind, the club can only benefit from a united fan base.
  6. The simple fact is very simple, as Murray showed yesterday, he gets what he wants his voting power ensures that. Murray is still in total control, can't put it more simply than that.
  7. It is simple, Murray's vote carried the motion, that is not hard to understand or admit. You are beginning to grasp the situation now, Muir is Murray's man and Murray's welfare will come first, notwithstanding the fact that Murray controls the outcome of any vote. I also believe that AJ does nothing without Murray's say so, his statement yesterday had Murray all over it, lots of content little substance.
  8. It is not my interpretatation it is fact, the proxy swept all before it. I see you are still seeing Muir as the bank's enforcer, despite the opposite being the case put forward. The more I read the further and further away a resolution appears, I can almost feel another Murray triumphant interview coming on, it would be par for the course.
  9. Lloyds cannot sell what they do not own, all in all the opposing of Muir was a futile gesture, as it was always bound to be. The outcome was only to emphasise the strength and power of Murray's shareholding, it also showed the fans and the club pulling in different directions, the framenting of fans views could end up being the greatest stumbling block to any solution, I suggest one thing is certain, Murray will not go cheaply.
  10. If you take the approach that nothing is going to change in the foreseeable future, or until at the very least the takeover panel kicks in, you should be immune from all bull and people claiming to have an in. Murray is for better or worse controling the situation, with the level of debt MIH has, he has a very big bargaining chip.
  11. Forgive me if I appear to be misconstruing your views, that is not my intention. My slant is from a an American business point of view, Murray has always struck myself and others as having a very hard almost American approach in his dealings, all that matters is closing the deal and coming out on top, I may be wrong, but I can't for the life of me think of any other Scot in his position, who is also the ultimate showman, larger than life, the Monarch of the Glen. Has he ever lost at anything. I admire his tenacity and success, his approach is something else entirely.
  12. I don't believe that is what I said at all, Murray may be a lot of things, I doubt being a victim is one of them, although there are others who think the bank sqeezed him out, can't say I give that any credence at all.
  13. Maybe Murray planned it that way he escaped today unscathed as reported to me by a friend who was there, indeed AJ lauded him, two out of four isn't bad even for Murray an alleged victim of the bank. You will produce the evidence that Muir is a bank enforced apointee wont you, or is it innuendo that sinks your boat.
  14. Lying ? are you accusing everyone else of lying, Murray, the Bank AJ, Walter Smith, one of them at least is shall we say mistaken. Care to supply the definitive for "Donald Muir, Lloyds TSB's man on the Rangers board," your words in the OP.
  15. But you will upset the man whose fingerprints are all over the new chairman's statement of today, Murray. If you really think that Murray is not pulling the strings, what is there to say, Murray will have his way, AJ is Murray's man as is Muir, any opposition to Murrays' plans will be as usual treated with contempt. Nothing ever changes unless he allows it.
  16. It was not my quote it was the Chairman's quote, it is unsettling that people are still insisting that in reality Muir is a bank appointee, be careful what you wish for, sometimes you end up getting it and all of the attendant other parts. You I nor anyone else really wants or needs the bank as the enemy, there could only be one winner under those circumstances.
  17. "Therefore pursuant to David himself and Donald Wilson resigning from the Board, we voted the two replacement Murray nominees, Mike McGill and Donald Muir, on as new Directors. While the selection of Donald Muir may have been somewhat controversial, given the fact that he had been an active liaison between Murray Group and Lloyds Bank with respect to other elements of the conglomerates business, it was not out of context that he became a designated non-executive Director of Rangers." You are clearly at odds with the chairman's statement, you continue to spin Muir's appointment as a bank placement, something you have no evidence for, only spin.
  18. Exactly what message was being sent, I thought that the Chairman's statement was quite clear as to his view of the banks role and conduct, to invite shareholders to spit in the eye of that appraisal is and was intemperate to say the least, why try to cast the bank as the enemy, if a debt is owed it is owed, simple equation.
  19. I think the bottom line is that those who see a change of ownership as the only way forward, are stuck with Murray for the foreseeable future, better get used to it change if it ever happens will not occur overnight or even anytime soon.
  20. Apologies I was not being flippant, I tend to see things pointing to Murray having outmaneuvered the bank, not an easy thing to do and not done by many for that alone I will applaud him, the future is going to be one son of a gun runaway train ride.
  21. This really does surpass Homers trials and tribulations, are you supporting the soother guy on the other thread, who says Muir is Murrays placement, if so and if correct where does that leave the bank conspirators.
  22. This is becoming more entertaining than an episode of the Simpson's, and about as believable.
  23. It has nothing to do with off shore, it has all to do with expecting the public, the public being Rangers fans, to entrust your idea with cash. At the same time as refusing to reveal all about your business structure and affairs, if you feel comfortable with that scenario I wish you luck, it wouldn't get past a junior bank officer in the real world.
  24. "I strategically moved my business affairs to the Bahamas to legally permit global trading. Bahamian law protects the interests of shareholders and directors and this information is not for public consumption." The last part is all I need to know, credibility is all, there is none here.
