Ever since CG destroyed Spiers on television on the night Rangers won the FTTT those in the mhedia would have been watching him like a hawk waiting for any small slip or misdemeanour to use against him at a later date.

Looks to me that's what's happened here

and probably with some encouragement from some of 'our own'

There are far too many sensitive/offended wee souls in the world these days. It's become utterly pathetic.

You could slag off someone's washing machine and you'd be accused of being offensive/washing machinist !!!

I have enough faith in our new board to believe that they will be able to put some perspective on this and stand by Chris Graham.

If they don't then we are pandering to every fuckwit out there and they will just continue to attack us on all sorts of things.

I'm confident that King, Murray, Gilligan, Park will see this for what it is and fully stand by Chris.

The hatred for CG from some of the lunatic fringe in our support is pretty bitter.

Whilst I can't prove that any of oiur own were involved in this, at the same time, you can't prove that they weren't.

McNally and company were tweeting about Chris' history of online comments pretty much minutes after his appointment, it's clear which set of fans in Glasgow are responsible for this

I'd say for certain that some of our own would have been part of this witchhunt against CG.

Although the BBC 'broke' the story, the screenshot was on Ranger Media well before the BBC picked it up and ran with it.

We should not underestimate how much some of our fan base hate the RST and anyone associated with it.

It's an inside job IMO, which is dreadful when we are trying to get our club back on a more positive footing.

But whatever the source, Rangers need to come out tell them to feck off and don't waste our time !!!

I think this board has the balls to stand up to this and they will keep CG They certainly should.

Fair enough, I'm wrong. Tweeting such an image would not, in fact, offend any Muslims; nor is the default use of homosexuality to 'make it worse' (why not hetero sex?) likely to worry the LGBT community; Islamic extremists have no record of attacking those they perceive as having blasphemed; and our directors have no duty to behave in a manner suitable to represent our fan base. Now I understand all that I see why he's entirely suitable.

I will be very disappointed in King and the Board if they cave into this.

Because it will be seen, rightly, as offensive to every Muslim Rangers supporter; because it will seen, rightly, as casually derogatory to ward homosexual Rangers supporters; because it could conceivably have dire security implications for the stadium; and because it is conduct unbefitting the office.

Short term is ok I suppose - but not the long term answer IMO.

As a rule you'd think so but fans are so fed up with the existing one, we'd probably be excited about Bobby Williamson.

I'd also make the point that I reckon the 35,000 number given was a truly accurate one - i.e. that was the number present and those season book holders who didn't attend weren't counted.

 

I'd expect a slightly better crowd on Saturday but unless the performance is much better then next Tuesday's attendance will be poor.

another poor preformance on Saturday - which I can see it being - and there will be easily under 30,000 next Tuesday.
