With McIness signing a new contract as a real sheep then we can safely count him out of the running, as for McLeish I would be disappointed if he got the job, but I'd get behind him anyway. McCall? Can't quite see why anyone wouldn't get behind him...wasn't that long ago we were singing his praises, deservedly I should add.
I was certainly never singing McCall's praises. He does not impress me one bit. He's the same old, same old.

Whoever we get as manager will get full backing from the fans I hope.
McCall, McLeish, McInnes would not get my backing.
Sick of mediocrity. It's time for proper change in this new era. Out with the old, in with the new.

If he's married with kids, then his family could play a big part in the reason/s for coming back to Scotland.
I believe that's what it is to be honest.

If I told you I'd have to kill you.
Fine with me - as long as I get a wee look beforehand !

I only remember 1incident when he played the flute , in a preseason friendly
against Steau Bucharest if I remember correctly.

He mentioned this in interviews years ago.

Hopefully DK wasn't in London speaking to Redknapp.
aye - Louise - she's going to be modelling the new line of in-house Rangers lingerie

Think Cathro has returned to Scotland for 'family reasons', which were brought up in discussions with Valencia a number of months ago.
Don't know what it is but there is something which I'm not quite convinced about, that he would be the right appointment for us.
I'd be happy with just Warburton and Weir, with Mulholland taking youngsters.

Was told last night we were in negotiations with Aberdeen. Had hoped it was just a rumour
Where is this coming from mate ?
I absolutely don't want McInnes anywhere near the club.

Sports Direct counsel says he is seeking interim injunction to stop confidential information being releases at RFC EGM

Looks like Ashley is desparate to do all this court stuff to gag us ahead of the EGM?

I understand Ashley is also taking Rangers to the court of session in Edinburgh this morning.

A few on twitter and some posts on FF saying Warburton will be named as Manager, either Friday or beginning of next week.
Let's hope so !!!
He would be the best one for us right now.
The professionalism on the footballing side would increase ten - fold as would the standard on the pitch.
I pray we don't miss out on this guy.

There are better managers in this world than Warburton. Not the end of the world if he goes to Fulham.
There are not many better managers right now who would be willing to come to Rangers and install a whole new approach to the fotballing set up with the level of energy, enthusiasm, ideas and man management that Warburton has. As I've mentioned on here before, I've also gleamed alot of information from a current Brentford player who Warburton signed last summer and who can't speak highly enough of him.
If we miss out on Warburton it will be a damn shame and a massive missed opprtunity to get the footballing side out of the prehistoric age which it has been stagnating in for years and years.
I'm normally a glass half empty person, but I feel excited by Warburton and see him as exactly what we need right now.

The Mail are saying Warburton holding talks with Rangers.
Yep - just seen that as well mate.
We just need to get this sorted ASAP.

Record saying that Fulham are in for Warburton

Fulham's interest in Warburton throws a spanner in the works for Rangers board. Full story in tomorrow's @Daily_Record

hope so mate but I highly doubt it in the time frame remaining.
His words give that impression but the actions make me think we are keeping the outlay to the minimum required to get promotion.
I hope so too mate.
But didn't he also say that he would 'spend whatever it takes' in order to guarantee promotion ?
If we need to spend and the manager can justify it, then I think King will back him without any problem.

king seemed pretty definite on the number,.
out the starting 11 above we need rid of at least 7!
Yes - King did say that - but there is a whole summer to get through and things can change before the next transfer deadline at end of August - and the new manager may adjust his squad accordingly, which may turn out to be different to what is being discussed at the moment.
I get the impression that if the new man can justify a signing, then King will back him to the hilt.

walsh i would bring in but not for every game . dont think hardie will be good enough. Would like to see more of Gallagher
Both Walsh and Hardie would improve the team you have listed - as would Gallagher. That's what I was really saying mate.

how? with 6 slots what positions are you strengthening and what areas are you not. Even if you have 100% success with your signings and they all stay fit and slot immediately into the first 11 it aint near enough to have a strong exciting 18 to pick from
Although the figure of '6' players coming in has been mentioned, it may be more than that in reality once the new manager gets his feet under the table.
I'd also be looking to replace Wallce who has been absolutely dire.
Hopefully we can move some more players out by end of transfer deadline - Miller, Clark, Wallace, Shiels for example.

bell
? mcgregor zaliuskis wallace
? murdoch law shiels
miller clark
how do you vastly improve that team realistically in the championship with only 6-7 new players
straight off one needs to be a keeper either 2nd or 1st choice. Leaves only 6 spots.
We should be trying to get rid of Clark for a start.
Hardie is better than him. And Walsh should also be more in contention, depending who we bring in.

If we get either of McCall, Davies, McInnes or McLeish then be prepared to stagnate (at best !)
If we get Warburton, prepare for a postivie revolution.
I know which I would prefer !

Can't see it being true "donations", more like loans converted to equity later.
You're probably right then mate.
But, essentially I feel is his going to be quite 'generous' in what he gives/invests for the benefit of the club.
He's not in this to make money for himself as such.

No I wasn't.
The football was dire, the selections were terrible and the substitutions dumbfounding at times.
