  1. I know it's not sayimg much - but he is by far the best centre half we have. Prone to the odd lapse of concentration, but as a central defender he is head and shoulders above the rest and should be starting every week.

And the poor sod has to play along side 'pointing boy' which can't be easy !!!

  2. The only ones who would have any kind of desire to have us listed would be our only real and proper institutional investor - Rive & Mercantile. But I'm sure there have been discussions with these guys which will hav led to some sort of compromise, amicably allowing the club to de-list at some point in the not too distant future. It's not King's intention to have us listed in the long term.

  3. Part time teams at the bottom of our league are giving everyone a battle MB.

Hibs only narrowly defeated Livingston 2-1 at Easter Road last week with a last minute header to take all 3 points and a couple of weeks before that they only narrowly won 0-1 at Recreation Park thanks to a Scott Allan free-kick midway through the first half.

Those two teams have managed a draw against us this week, but it's been a very fine line between dropping points and winning the games.

I get what you are saying.

But just look at the examples of Walsh and Murdoch - more than capabale of holding their own. If we had properly 'given youth a chance' over the past few years I feel it would have given the team and support a new energy - and hope.

Instead, we have a team of lazy, unfit, unenergetic players who will all have to be booted out at the end of the season so we can start again.

Our 'start again' period should have been done properly 3 years ago. Initially there were a few youngsters who got a chance, but Ally soon put a halt to that and brought in the current shower.

    What a waste.

  4. is there not lots of hardened old pros in the lower leagues. Would a bunch of youngsters have been able to compete with them ?

They were part timers in the bottom two divisions - as are teams like Alloa now. A team of Rangers 'youngsters' should have had little problem dealing with them. We have completely wasted a 3 year opportunity. McCoits overly cautious approach totally killed what should have been a really good and constructive journey for us. Look at the mess we're left with. Scandalous.

  5. Can't put my finger on exactly why - but I'm just not convinced by McCall at all when he speaks.

Says all the right things, but I feel he lacks the substance behind it.

Would like him to prove me wrong, but I will take some convincing to be won over.

  6. Good luck to the lad but it's a colossal step up from U20 to the first team not just at Rangers but every club

He could step into the team right now and be absolutely fine.

He's confident, assured and commands his area well.

I just think he will go on to have the better career in football, out of the current keepers we have. He is excellent already, but has great potential to go far.

  7. Yes Halkett would cope, in fact if truth be told he'd probably a better option as a forward than McCulloch.

Daly as centre half is there a more immobile player in Scottish football? He may well have played there for Dundee United in the past but his gut wasn't hanging over the top of his shorts then.

Daly has never been petite - but he is looking heavier and heavier these days. Dreadful state.

I agree - there is not a more immobile player in football than him - although Boyd runs him very close !! For comedy value I'd like to see the two of them play up top together. Now that would make interesting viewing !!

To think what these two are taking home each week from our club, for nothing in return, is scandalous.

  8. As you point out in every single post you make. Change the record.

Difficult to 'change the record' when this lot constantly fail to deliver and go about their business in an unprofessional manner. If you're happy having the players taking the piss out of you then fair enough. Each to their own.

  9. check this out half time drills. need to sort this kinda shit out pronto Stuart

Yes, saw that last night. Absolutely embarassing - but not surprising.

The whole football side is as unprofessional as you can get.

We have all this thanks to Ally's Fun Factory which he built up over the past few years.

  10. he was runner up to the old firm 3 years running that esentially makes him the next best manager in scotland. the obvious choice perhaps.

In reality though - that's not neccesarily impressive. It's a dire league andthe standard is awful.

What level would McCall get a job at if he wasn't with us at the moment ?

He'd struggle to get a job in League 1.

For me, he's a bit like Ally and Kenny before him - not exactly the sharpest tool in the box. And that frightens me.

Thankfully - well hopefully - he's only here for a few months.
