Greetings all - I'm an American Master's student at the Glasgow School of Art and I'm currently developing a long-form photo documentary project on Scottish identity, primarily probing how people relate to the cultural concept of 'Scottishness' and how it informs their identity. Obviously, I couldn't get a comprehensive read on Scotland without taking into consideration its most fundamental pastime and how that informs the cultural outlook of so many in Glasgow and beyond. This isn't meant to be a provocation or a jumping off point to address anything political (although if you feel like talking about this, i'd be more than happy to let you speak your mind), but rather a chance to talk about how personal ties to a football club have informed who people are. Conversations would consist of a short interview followed by a photo portrait. I wouldn't have anything to offer in the way of monetary compensation, but this is an entirely collaborative process - so I'd be more than happy to give you a say in the work and to offer back prints and photographs.
