Yeah, I got what you were saying mate, I thought I'd swing in a more positive direction. Your last point is the most important area of Ally's potential/ability. Or the acid test; buying/acquiring players that can do the job and fit in well wit the established players already there. Some interesting times ahead for all of us! On a slightly different note. If we do win the league and the orcs don't secure any outside investment, can we say Celtic will have went back a few years?

Yeah, don't get me wrong, there is players to be had that may cost nothing in transfer fees but cost as much longterm. There is also the fact that you can acquire good bosmans that may be better than expensive signings. Both can be a lottery, IMO. Plus, what Frankie said earlier stands to reason; that there is games being played to suit peoples own agendas. We won't know the truth until the transfer window has closed, or will we, lol! Nice to a see a constructive argument put across!

Food upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs is a restaurant which is very good with reasonable prices, and downstairs is more snack type stuff, for example, chicken goujons and chips with choice of dip for �£3. Last time the pub put on free grub for all bears. Also, the front you see there was completely covered by the Club Deck Loyal's flag.: And of course there was the customary sash bash:) -
Cautious optimism is the key phrase regarding Whyte me thinks. I'm obviously delighted that Murray's away but, not sure if it's the usual anti-Rangers crap, with all the negative press and the past board being so adamant about Whyte's lack of cash, I feel we should all be wary of any potential disaster that sits in waiting.

My club should be inviting all bears back to our bar afterwards (Old Moat Inn, Dundonald, East Belfast). Details, if it goes ahead, should finalised this Thursday where we will put an advertisement in the Rangers News and Rangers forums. The club done it the last time and it was a resounding success, so much so that the day made the local and national press in NI. -

He has the ability to make a difference but his self centred attitude can be annoying with his diving and moaning at the refs. I have noticed though, that he has became more of a team player now that he's not guaranteed to start each week.

What a bloody soap opera! Why is all this coming out now? Why is Murray all of a sudden interested in buying us via a share issue when he's had plenty of time to carry it out? I can see Whyte forcing the issue, he must be fuming. -
I fancy we will dissect his first press conference like the media do when an American President is sworn in. He's probably got his speech ready to go.

Should be an exciting summer where Whyte can go about laying the foundations of his plans. We will also read story after story from the press telling us what Whyte's plans are. Clearing the debt, investing his own money in and hopefully he can generate other income revenue streams should see us buy a better standard of player without going into the dangerous territory that Murray put us in. There's many things we want from him and one of them would be a tough stance on the media.
