  1. Lucky you! Although my location and demographics of my adopted city means I don't have much interaction with the orcs:spl:
  2. Thought this was common knowledge? They never factor in DD's soft loan either. They owe £12 million to DD if I recall, a figure most orcs don't disagree with. Their debt won't be far of ours come the end of the season.
  3. Absolutely delighted at us making a signing. He'll do a good job for us. May not be a marquee signing but it's a start! Destination 54 begins tomorrow - can't fucking wait!
  4. So, has he taken a pay-cut then? He'd be the type to play on less money knowing he's already a millionaire!
  5. Three sides to every story mate.
  6. I know sources on the internet are somewhat out-there at times, but this did come from Boyd's family and friends.
  7. Boyd asked for x amount and was offered x amount. He stalled on the deal for nearly six months, so the club retracted the offer because of his stalling on the deal and his general apparent attitude towards the end of the season. The club got fed up with his moods. I'd preferred he was still with us but we move on - better players have left us and we have still won titles.
  8. If he played for any-other side there wouldn't be an issue, imo. At times the Tartan Army comes across as an extension of the orcs.
  9. Lafferty would be my choice to go. Naismith, for all he hasn't shown his Killie form, is more versatile and has more about him.
  10. Naismith had a very good scoring record with Killie. If he's ever to recapture that form - the time is now! Could very well put him in the Lafferty bracket as a player who needs to show more on the park, although Naismith seems a level headed lad away from football. Big season for the lad.
  11. In your opinion, is he the answer to our LW problems?
  12. Right folks, With Walter trying to sign Jelavic what signs is this sending out to Lafferty? Yes, we need our squad bulked up, however, this is in my opinion, Lafferty's make or break season in front of goal. As much as we need Jelavic signed and producing the form he's being doing for Vienna - Lafferty won't get the opportunity to do so. Lafferty has never came across mentally strong nor has he came across as intelligent. Will this resign him to mediocre performances we've seen or can he step up and produce the level of performance he showed in the run last season given the chance to do so? Thoughts?
  13. Perhaps I'm too cynical but, the lad could play his heart out during his trial period get fortunate with a few chances that comes his way, then once he's signed, he becomes a Sebo type player and becomes a burden on our balance sheet via his wages. Not keen on the lad, however, I am willing to be proved wrong;)

    Welcome Thread

Cheers folks. Don't know who the other 'Shorerdbear' could be. Unless I registered before and forgot about the place:confused:
  15. The only threat to our league campaign will be the size of our squad. We have a settled squad and a manage who knows what it takes to win titles. Looking at their squad - there's nothing to fear. Destination 54.
  16. Delusion with a strong hint of foot and mouth is common theme amongst the orcs.
  17. The difference was a reduction in expenses the stores cost, the club's overall net expenditure wasn't that great a difference. The club has to cut back on staff costs i.e players! The income from The JJB deal factored into overall income was pretty much the same, give or take European involvement. Why didn't the club looking to cut down on non profitable stores and the number of staff working in them? The Belfast store was always over staffed compared to the foot fall coming in. Coming from a retail background, for the life of me I cannot see why it's of any use when the we had decent service, decent quality and better choice of merchandise in the stores. When stores under-perform the usual way is to make cut backs on areas that weren't working or look to improve the experience on offer. I'm no expert dude, but Rangers have never grasped the marketing concept too well.
  18. Umbro, JJB - both terrible pieces of business. The club went on about the reductions in costs when the JJB deal was announced, but the income is also noticeable too. There hasn't really been a massive difference to the club's balance sheets since JJB deal. The really big difference has been the quality of product on offer to the fans. Primark has better quality of merchandise, ffs. Edit: Two years before the JJB deal started, Rangers merchandise income was the 2nd biggest in The UK and 5th in Europe. It just goes to show the JJB deal was lazy.
