  1. BBC ALBA 10.00pm tonight.
  2. Entirely different circumstances and the ff was set up to defend the Club was it not; Club 1872 has different objectives.
  3. They could do that; but trust me it won't be necessary.
  4. I was being a little bit facetious, Rab. As you'll gather from my post #31, it's my opinion that even if the SPFL could make a case under their rules, it would be overturned on appeal. So I think that what what you will see over the next few days is something along the lines of "it's ancient history and for the good of the game we have decided it's best to move on." I am certain of one thing and that is that Regan will have told Doncaster and Doncaster will tell the SPFL Board, that this is a fight that they do not need and cannot win.
  5. Whilst I agree that for the most part this is an excellent statement; easily the best to come out of Club 1872; there is one aspect with which I disagree. "Club 1872 ........... will use every legal means necessary to challenge those who promote, support or facilitate such a course of action. That will include......... mounting a legal challenge to the SPFL". I don't believe that it's any part of Club 1872's business to mount a legal challenge to anything that does not directly affect the business of Club 1872 which is to buy shares and otherwise invest in RFC. As far as I understand the current set up Club 1872 could not legitimately use its funds for that purpose. Of course, Mr Blair might offer his services pro bono on this occasion. However, any such legal battles are properly the business of RFC.
  6. If the SPFL were to make an issue of this and attempt to strip us of some titles then all we need to do is appeal to the SFA and I am fairly certain it would be overturned using the same reasoning, albeit under different rules, as indicated in their statement. In any event, I very much doubt that Celtic aside (who are just pandering to the more extreme elements in their fans) there are more than one or two other clubs who would be up for a fight that would tear Scottish football apart. I have a strong feeling that cooler heads will prevail there will be no further action.
  7. F Sadly what it does mean is that the remaining creditors, many of them small businesses, will get less.
  8. Perhaps I didn't express that very well, I'm still half asleep from yesterday. What I meant was that if Alves is made captain (on the field) it would be embarrassing for Wallace unless it's made clear that he remains the CLUB CAPTAIN.
  9. I think we're discussing Stewart Robertson, our CEO, not the Chairman.
  10. I take the point about leadership; but personally I am not unduly concerned about him not being in LUX. It's hard to know when the CEO could go on holiday then because he has to be around when we are signing players. I suspect that he may well have chosen to go off now because most if not all the business was done and he may well have judged as did many others that we SHOULD have had little difficulty negotiating this tie. Any comment on my thoughts about captaincy?
  11. Waghorn couldn't lace Hately's boots. I'm just saying that it can take any player a long time to get over an injury; because it's not just achieving a level of physical fitness or even match fitness; a lot of it is psychological, including fear of sustaining the same injury again. In terms of Waghorn, my feeling is that it's a combination of at least two factors: one being as above and the second being that he struggled to make the adjustment from Championship to Premiership level, as did most of the team. I think the fact that he didn't get on the pitch in Luxembourg tells you all you need to know.
  12. I doubt most of the players know who the CEO is, never mind give a toss about what he says or does. Leadership or motivation of the players is up the Coach not the CEO. Speaking of leadership, I saw precious little from Wallace. Hill was far more like a leader than Wallace and so is Miller. How long before Alves is Captain on the field and Wallace is saved embarrassment by being re-titled Club Captain.
  13. Hately told me in Kaunas that it took him nearly a year to get back his confidence and play without worrying about a recurrence of his injury.
  14. We were beaten by the better team in Manchester but I'm proud we got there and I was at all the games.
  15. One of the fans who was waiting outside the ground has just walked into the pub and confirmed that Pedro held his hands up and apogised to the fans. The fan says the reason he waited was to let the players know it is not acceptable but they walked straight to the bus.
  16. This picture doing the rounds in all the bars now. Consensus is Pedro is a dead man walking.
  17. I am not sure if the perpetrators are in my pictures but I take your point.
  18. No it doesn't and I speak from past experience in a number of places including Stuttgart. Earlier tonight I and others tried very hard to stop a father and son coming to blows in a respectable city centre bar/restaurant much to the shock of the locals and embarrassment of fellow Rangers fans.
  19. I'm telling you what I saw for information and I'd like to live to come home if it's alright with you.
  20. I saw fans break up and throw seats and I have photographs of the broken seats on the track.
  21. Broken seats littered the track in front of the corner where most of the Rangers fans were seated at the end.
