  1. I don't see how even the most creative spin doctor could make something out of this.
  2. Utterly humiliating on the pitch and morons breaking up seats and throwing them on at the end of the game.
  3. Can't summon up the enthusiasm but spare a thought for such as the Linwood RSC bus left at 6.00am this morning and going straight back after the match. Respect to them and the Nithsdale etc.
  4. NO. If you read their manager's comments pre match the plan was to defend for 70 minutes then give it a go in the last 20. So from their perspective it's going exactly to plan which is quite a worry.
  5. For all our control we've only made one clear cut chance which Kranjcar sent over and they have come worryingly close with shots to the near post on the break. Apart from that a nice night in the sun but their drummer is giving me a headache.
  6. I must admit I was way out in my estimate of the number of fans who would travel to this match. According to Rangers SLO the Club only sold 1,300 tickets. That said I have spoken to a good few fans who are not TC members, travelled without a ticket and bought one here. GM estimates 200-300. So overall about 1,500-1,600. At the weekend Progres said they had sold 6,000 so much to my great surprise it seems we will be well outnumbered by the locals although many may be neutral foreign nationals and no doubt some of them will support Rangers.
  7. Well it's a scorching 24C here in Luxembourg. Bit of a walk from the airport bus route to the Novotel to pick up the match ticket and some grumbling at the long line up the stairs as one of the supporters buses arrived at just the wrong moment for a number of us who came off the KLM flight from AMS. Rangers Security totally ineffective as some guys found it necessary to jump in the queue. Another 15 minute walk brought me to my hotel right beside the cathedral and I'll be off in search of a refreshment and some sustenance very shortly. Fans in confident mood already planning ahead for Cyprus. EDIT: Temperature has actually gone up to 25C as we move to about 2 hours to kick off.
  8. At Glasgow Airport and it's great to be back following Rangers in Europe. Already met a few Bears I know from past trips. Will try to send updates from LUX. We are not sectarian. WE ARE THE PEOPLE!!
  9. I very much doubt that. I know Regan is much maligned but I don't think he's daft enough to fall for this nonsense. I would think he'll cause some minion to reply that WATP is not sectarian and that clubs can instruct players to wear whatever colour of boots they chose so long as they comply with the laws of the game. That's if he deems it worthy of reply at all.
  10. Ian, I think it would be helpful if you would post the link or source below the article you are quoting.
  11. It has never occurred to me that "We Are the People" is remotely sectarian and I note that the lady in question offers no explanation. However, I agree with her about what she describes as the red hand salute insofar as I perceive it as Nazi and/or Fascist and I find that offensive, whatever the intention.
  12. Hopefully the game's not been moved again!
  13. "Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that. " Bill Shankly
  14. They have 2 Germans, 5 Frenchmen a Portuguese and an Armenian in their squad alongside the Luxembourgers so they must have been on a pub crawl around Europe.
  15. "Many supporters will give RDV after the match at the Rives de Clausen to celebrate in peace and mutual respect!" (Google translation)
  16. I think that's probably correct. I've only seen one person on here refer to Progres in that way and he was rightly taken to task by Craig for insulting the opposition. It will not be a walk over but I'm travelling in confidence.
  17. That's your prerogative but how you make out that the stewarding company should be responsible for the actions of the fans is beyond me.
  18. Found this on their web site Google translation We inform you that more than 6,000 tickets have already been sold at pre-sales. Many supporters will give RDV after the match at the Rives de Clausen to celebrate in peace and mutual respect! RDV = Rendezvous I think. http://progresrangers.com/
  19. UEFA have it in local time in the viewing country Stade Josy Barthel - Luxembourg 04/07/2017 First qualifying round , 2nd leg Progrès18:45 Rangers confirming the OP.
  20. I met Charlie Adam (31) a few weeks ago when he appeared to be staying in a Glasgow property owned by one Kenneth Moyes, brother of you know who. I asked him if there was any chance of him coming back, note I didn't say I wanted him to come back; his reply was "you (Rangers not me!) don't have any money" He said he'd be staying at Stoke this season. However, he appears to be a free agent unless he or Stoke have taken up his option? https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/charlie-adam/profil/spieler/28990 Peter Crouch is 36 and appears to have year left on his contract at Stoke. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/peter-crouch/profil/spieler/4072
  21. I find my self in complete agreement with these sentiments.
