Probably more to do with Scottish football side of the club than the business side although he's more than eminently qualified in that respect. Perhaps he's reached the stage in his life where he has more time to devote to RFC than was previously the case. I understand he's had previous offers to join the board but declined. Pretty sure he wasn't a silent investor and he had input when he felt it was necessary, pity he wasn't listened to by King when he warned him re Concert Party. Definitely an asset to the board.

A great appointment, glad he's finally got round to joining the board. Should be warmly welcomed by all Rangers fans. If anybody still labours under the illusion that this board are out of touch with the Bears in the street then fret no more.

You do not raise income via a share issue you raise capital. That isn't pedantry it's a very, very important distinction, if you doubt that then ask @Bluedell he'll probably explain it a lot better than I can. The various issues have been raising working capital not income.

The due diligence claim has left me totally bewildered, it assumes we are all idiots. I think the statement effectively killed off any hope however infinitesimal it was of reaching 25% +1. Short of some benevolent billionaire riding to the rescue (which has its own dangers) they are in danger of making themselves totally irrelevant, they are alienating even some of their most ardent believers. Club1872 needs immediate total root and branch reform, they need to use some of their 5% expenses to pay for some quality independent professional advice.
