  1. Factor in the prize money and fees they expected to get then we wouldn't have cost them so much as a penny.
  2. Not to mention the billionaires !!
  3. If the issue isn't underwritten (which it doesn't seem to be) then they would probably remain unsold (initially anyway) if it is underwritten then they would be sold on the market which in all probability would cause a substantial fall in the share price as the underwriters try to minimise their exposure. Getting back to European football will take a minimum of 3 years during which time the club would require to be funded I may well be wrong but I cannot see how those 3 years could be anything other than heavily loss making. Seriously who else but the fans would be remotely interested in buying shares in a Scottish 3rd division football club? Remember when Green & Co bought us we were and they thought still would be an SPL club charging SPL prices and receiving SPL prize money et al. Your scepticism is not misplaced and is actually healthy.
  4. Green must be on to about Plan L or M now which in fairness to him is not through his own making but he should know better than most (Kingsbridge, Panceltica, Sheffield United et al)caveat emptor. He did previously claim the issue would be underwritten but it's really no surprise that it now isn't as it would have been simply too expensive especially given current conditions both at the club itself and market conditions in general. My biggest concern at the time of the takeover was the ability and/or willingness of the investors to fund us till we were back in a better place, since we don't know the full ownership structure at present we don't know whether they have the ability or not but it now looks exceedingly like they don't have the willingness. Much has been made of the wage bill for playing staff being slashed but it doesn't appear there has been much done to attack other costs such as non playing staff, then there are the fixed costs attributed to running the club which cannot be cut (by much if by anything) rates, utilities, insurance etc. It will still cost basically the same as last season to stage a match at Ibrox but match day income will be much reduced due to lower ticket prices and hospitality uptake. As I've said before any prospectus should make for interesting but any fan investing reading would be doing so through emotion not logic. It remains to be seen whether the long term interests of Green & Co are mutually compatible with those of RFC nothing I've seen so far has convinced me they are.
  5. Pritchett himself says it would have been better to let it pass. It's not as if we don't know why there's a headlong rush to float.

  8. That's pretty much par for the course Green is God over there in the same way Whyte was anyone doubting that orthodoxy is automatically a labelled a Tim/Feni@n/T@ig/Kerryfail accountant.

  10. The Telegraph.
  11. And now because of Murray's response our enemies delight in revelling in a story that had passed them and almost everyone else by.
  12. The original article but the response gave the BBC the story.
  13. It appears the article in question is two months old and has had 11,433 views, I wonder how many hits it's had today?
  14. Not as far as I'm aware but all the response did was widen the audience.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19891667
  15. I eagerly await Malcolm Murray's statement in return.....
  16. Also gaining plaudits at the failed solicitors' site ! Good to see there are some decent thinkers among the Ibrox faithful. 13 0 Rate This Reply TheObroni October 8, 2012 at 5:58 pm Great spot JimBhoy, a breath of fresh air to read a Rangers fans website that is actually asking the right questions. There just may be hope after all. 9 0 Rate This Reply ecojon October 8, 2012 at 7:03 pm @ JimBhoy What an enjoyable read from a thinking Bear who obviously cares deeply about his club and has some really good ideas. 9 0 Rate This Reply
  17. Pray tell just who are these "Hopped Horrors" that you maintain post here?
  18. All the statement will achieve is to give the original article a far wider audience than the article actually merits.
  19. Don't really see the need to issue a statement in response to the original article though perhaps it hit a raw nerve.
  20. There's nothing earth shattering in there in fact it's basically just telling us what we already know and what many have been saying for long enough, "Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen pounds nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery."
  21. Man up and name and shame or desist from throwing baseless accusations around.
  22. Pity no one has made a gif of McCullochs ridiculous swan dive in a pathetic attempt to win a penalty for which he was rightly booked.
  23. I wasn't being facetious, just wanting to see if there was anything comparative to look forward to.

  25. Got an example of it actually working out at any of these "few clubs"?
