First off, thanks for replying. Ever seen any other football administration where there was no massive reduction in staff? Ever seen an administrator whose virtually first act was to try and sign a player on a reputed £7k a week ? They are saying to the bidders "we can't give you Whytes' shares therefore we can't deliver a CVA, it's newco or nothing". If there is no CVA Rangers Football Club plc will be liquidated of that there is no doubt. For all the good it'll do they could be suing for £25 billion, we will run out of money in all probability just over a months time but absolutely long, long before October. I'd hazard a guess they'll get nearer to £0 than £25m, as for suing Whyte that's simply for effect and for no other reason. Pretty sure the creditors would lay claim to any monies recovered in any case. The newco strategy renders Ticketus (and every other creditor) basically irrelevant making taking Ticketus to court moot save for the lawyers who got big fat fees. Kenneth McLeod and Kevin Sykes were accountants who got involved with Craig Whyte they too were professionally obligated to do their job, try googling them to see what happened to them after they'd done Whytes' bidding. As for Collyer Bristow Gary Withey was a partner in the 200 odd year old blue stocking law firm of course that was before he did Whytes's bidding, you may detect a wee pattern developing here about what happens to the professional classes when they get involved with Craig Whyte. It is not their job to turn Rangers around that's one particular feather that won't be in their cap. In fact it was the business plan devised for Whyte by David "not involved" Grier a partner in Duff & Phelps that has brought us to where we are at today. Grier ergo MCR/Duff & Phelps have been involved in this from October 2010. When they said they Whytes' shares would not be an issue it was an out and out lie designed purely to kill time (worked a treat eh?) remember it was their partner David "not involved" Grier who designed and implemented the business plan in fact it would be no surprise whatsoever if it's revealed that Clark and Whitehouse worked on that plan too! Wonder what happened to the "mechanism" they were going to apply to separate Whyte and his shareholding. It's a lot more than a major stumbling block it's a deal killer pure and simple.

But not for free though eh ?
-
It relies on a bluff and the SPLs' lack of balls.
-
There has to be a cut of at least £10m in running expenses, they've just been playing for 25-50% per cent of their wages you think Miller will reimburse them for that, do you think they'll change employer and take a permanent wage cut or do you think they'll invoke their right to a free transfer.
-
It appears Club9 have jumped the gun by a few hours.
-
I know it's bizarre that those championing the newco scenario don't realise that the players are employed by Rangers Football Club plc and cannot be transferred to another employer without their explicit consent and I very much doubt if any of them would actually want to do that and I for one couldn't blame them.
-
That'll be McConvilles scenario about us liquidating after close of business on Friday 11th then the "newco" playing St Johnstone, it's a bit convoluted and fanciful but it is theoretically possible I suppose.
-
I stand by what I have posted about Duff & Phelps in the same way I stood by what I posted about Craig Whyte when he was regarded as the second coming, history and subsequent events have proven my stance to have been correct and I fully expect the same result re Duff & Phelps.

It won't take to long too find out if King was speaking the truth or not!

It's now up. http://www.clyde1.com/on-air/ssb-listen-again/

Yes tonight.

Usually available next day iirc.

They haven't called you to tell you that Whyte just may be a wee bit of a rogue either have they? I see you're back to blaming everything on a media conspiracy again hasn't proved to be a successful strategy so far has it? Pity you didn't hear DK on Clyde strangely enough questioning the parts played by Duff & Phelps and especially David Grier (since October 2010) up to the present day, also questioning the disinformation coming from RFC PR/media department (don't chuckle too loudly) at Duff & Phelps behest. As the song goes...... Good will conquer Evil And the truth will set me free And I know some day I will find the key I know somewhere I will find the key
-
Even if the CVA has a higher p in the £ return for the creditors?
-
What Whyte the "absolutely irrelevant" and the "wouldn't be an impediment", surely not! I don't suppose Duff & Phelps want their partner David "not involved" Griers' handiwork exposed either...
-
Yes, and Duff & Phelps are engineering the process so that there'll be no option but the question remains why?
-
If you're insinuating that BK/BKs' want a newco you're miles out, it is however Duff & Phelps preference and it would be very interesting to hear their reasoning why.
-
The "absolutely irrelevant" quote will come back to haunt Duff & Phelps. It's now crystal clear that it's Duff & Phelps preference for a newco, they've been bigging it up for weeks and one of their earliest utterances was to redefine liquidation as most of us understand it to be into the non-liquidation liquidation where in their view the winding up of the Rangers Football Club plc does not equate to a liquidation! They claimed to have a mechanism for separating Craig Whyte from his shareholding but bizarrely 11 weeks into administration they have yet to put that mechanism in motion, what part is being played in this by David "not involved" Grier and just what does he want to remain hidden from the public?
-
It will be Miller.

He paints a rather intriguing scenario. http://scotslawthoughts.wordpress.com/

Withey had a career and was a partner with an eminent law firm of long standing, and in all probability may well end up doing time for his part in the destruction of RFC, he is proof positive what happens when professionals get entangled with Craig Whyte, ever heard of Kenneth MacLeod and Kevin Sykes? Just a couple of accountants who rue the day they ever met Craig Whyte, some people may notice a wee pattern developing eh? -
"Now Timothy gonna no do that again ye wee rogue that ye are". "Billy go straight to jail ye bigoted hun bastard that ye are".

I give you Mr Gary Withey partner in a 240 year old blue stocking firm of solicitors before he bumped into Craig Whyte and now what?
