Mighty Blackpool next...our rollercoaster of a pre-season has so far seen us in the depths of 'goalless despair' to the heights of hammering Linfield (God bless them) into oblivion. What are our chances of taking a former EPL side to the cleaners? A) Is a win A MUST? ....or B) Does it not matter, as it's pre-season? Sorry, couldn't resist.

Ally as manager picks his assistant (surely!) - He has many people that he can depend on, what baffles me is....Why Kenny McDowell? Maybe he knows something I dont know. Maybe somebody can enlighten me. Not trying to cause a stooshie here, but I think someone with a more 'Gers connection' would be more appropriate at this given time.

Kirk was well ahead in pre-season training due to his injury problems last season, Ally saw this and gave him his chance to grab a place in the team over in the Germany warm ups. It's pretty obvious from his performances that he aint getting near a 1st pick, so it's time to move on mate. That's a pity really, because he was generally a good squad back up when injuries kicked in.

A long run in Europe would hamper our chances for the main deal - 4iar - But if the mankies struggle then maybe a 2nd Europa League Final in 5 years wouldn't be out of the question.

Just like many on here my greatest wish for the new season is for to see the back of 'the ned' Lemon, the sure way of this happening is just to win the title, I believe Ally and the players will be up for a clean sweep. So for that reason my prediction is as follows: SPL - Winners Scottish Cup - Winners League Cup - Winners Europe - Unfotunately I dont see us making the CL (hope I'm wrong) but a good run in EL is possible Brand of football - For domestic competition definitely more attack minded, no more sitting back on 1 goal leads. For Europe, I don't think we'll see much change from Walter's system of everybody behind the ball, and htting on the break.

There's a good push for Hemmings, sure he's potential, but experienced spl guys like Goodwillie and Kenny cant be ignored, if we can afford to bring these players in ( and I'm sure we CAN afford them) then if Hemmings is better, well bring it on. A wee footnote to Zappa: Rangers (and the BHEASTS) have been giving millions to teams like Dundee Utd for decades, and it's never made them stronger.

I second that, Davie Weir is simply the best central defender in the SPL, he would be the first to say 'Naw lads, am finished' so why any bear would be unhappy with him signing on for yet another year beats me. Don't forget - and this is IMO, he made Cuellar, Bougherra and Wilson.

I'm not in total agreement with Zappa, I do think we should bring in Goodwillie AND Miller, but give the young lad Hemmings every chance. I remember us bringing in a young hopeful in Derek Parlane many years ago and he established himself in no time - all I'm saying is....if we can bring in Goodwillie and Miller, then Hemmings might rise above them, but that's up to Ally. (and whyte, if he's gonna spend)

Aye sure, Craig Whyte has told Traynor what he's spending...what a load of shite! Maybe he's told him where he buys his suits and where he dines out, but there's no way he's told him how much money he's going to spend in his new commitment as Rangers owner. If Traynor is telling the world he knows something that no-one except him knows, then he is just a morbidly fat boring cnut who insists on blowing the same old trumpet.

Great to see the comments on here with a positive tone, been missing that for while. I know it's still pre-season but that score and performance has removed some of the doubt that I for one felt.
