  1. It is the official sp(f)l site remember.
  2. Yeah, noticed that, was going to delete that bit but decided to leave it in.
  3. Saturday’s first ever visit of Rangers to East Fife’s New Bayview Stadium is a sell out with the game all set to create a new attendance record at the 15-year-old ground. The Fifers have confirmed that they have no more tickets available with the existing crowd high of 1,980, reached in a Division Two game against local rivals Raith Rovers back in November 2008, to be more than doubled. An increased capacity of 4,700 will be allowed in this weekend after the installation of a temporary terracing with a club spokesperson saying: “We would like to thank all our fans who have made this game a sell-out.” The last time East Fife played Rangers in a home game they moved their League Cup tie to Dunfermline’s East End Park in 2007 and went down 4-0 in front of 7,413 fans. 4. For the first 100 years or so of football’s history, there were very few tactics, and most of these revolved around the 2-3-5 formation. In the 1950s, the success of the Marvellous Magyars from Hungary, followed by the 1960s success of Alf Ramsay’s wingless wonders at club and country level saw a revolution in tactical formations. Since then we have had 4-4-2, 4-2-4, 4-3-3, 4-5-1, 4-1-2-1-2, 3-5-2, 5-3-2, Christmas Tree formations, sweeper systems, men in ‘the hole’ behind the forward(s) or ahead of the defence. In Prague, a game between the Czech Rep and Scotland 2010 we saw the unveiling of what was the world’s first strikeless formation, as Scotland manager Craig Levein unleashed his 5-5-0 strategy on the world. Fletcher was playing so deep, it could have been a 6-4-0 tho'.
  5. The song 'Ye Cannae Shove Yer Granny Aff The Bus' should be banned - It's sexist.
  6. When Lazio played Mallorca in the 39th and last CWC final in 1999, this is how the teams lined up according to Wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999_UEFA_Cup_Winners%27_Cup_Final 4-4-2 vs 4-1-2-1-2, or 4-3-3?
  7. Also the positions determined what shirt number the players wore... The 1966 Scottish Cup winning team for example: Goalie (1) Billy Ritchie Right Back (2) Kai Johansen Left Back (3) David Provan Right Half (4) John Greig Centre Half (5) Ronnie McKinnon Left Half (6) Bobby Watson Right Winger (7) Willie Henderson Inside Right (8) George McLean Centre Forward (9) Jimmy Millar Inside Left (10) Willie Johnston Left Winger (11) Davie Wilson This was after a 0-0 draw in the first match, in which Jim Forrest played Centre Forward (9). Jimmy Miller was Inside Right (8). Stein replaced his Right Back (2) for the replay, we kept ours - the rest is history
  8. So if D King didn't have the money he'd be doing porridge for the rest of his life? - That makes him a criminal in my eyes and I'm no yahoo.
  9. If English (hailed by the green and grey) is having a pop, then on that basis alone, King is the right man for Rangers.
  10. How very true is this? Well done Andy, well done man...

  12. So do the tims have us? Edit: Should maybe had this as the title thread. The tims are moving and we are staying still.
  13. It's a serious question btw...
  14. Tims not spivs thats different...dont drift from my point.
  15. I'm freaked out on this... Is there a 'cabal' in our club?
  16. I don't think there's a cabal of tims running us, but at the fear of being reprimanded for putting up my opinion of what this thread is about then I'll sit back and see.
  17. Yes and as a true blue..that lot banned me for nowt. So we should not compare FF as a means of all things Rangers. No Way!
  18. ...and I got banned through that system...poor show lads, make yer bed.
  19. Personally speaking if FF disappeared tomorrow, they'd deserve it. Bunch of unfriendly souls imo
  20. Rangers manager Ally McCoist has hinted that the club will be unable to offer transfer fees for any of his targets during the January transfer window. The Scottish League One side saw moves for Bosnian defender Boris Pandza and former Hearts captain Marius Zaliukas fail this week. McCoist has said that he is uncertain if he will be allowed to spend money as the club aims to secure a return to the Scottish Premiership. "It's my job to get the best possible team out on the park for the fans. Like any other manager I've got a budget to work within," quotes McCoist as saying. "Without doubt I am more mindful of what I spent after all the hardships we went through last year. I have to think about the long-term future of the club because we don't want what has already happened to happen again. But we're talking about [wage] budgets here, not even about transfer fees. "I believe longer term, we will definitely need to spend once we get back to where we want to be. But I can understand the argument right now that we should have a team built within the budget limits to get through the divisions." http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/rangers/transfer-talk/news/mccoist-rules-out-rangers-deals_107547.html
