  1. I believe the first instalment from CC was used to doo up the Stadium he said he spent 3m a think also how come the big Screens are still not working he said they would be working again?

Did Whyte not say to the Shareholders Statement that the tax bill would be paid? Now i dont know the inns or outs but why hasn't Whyte paid the bill then dispute the penalty afterwards?

We have spent just over 1m on transfers fees for players NOT 5m YES he has said 5m to invest in the playing squad us the fans didn't think it was including wages etc.

Whyte has taken a few quid into Ibrox from the fans backing but has he PUT ANY OF HIS OWN MONEY IN ?

We could be going back to the Slippery Dave days, Whyte the Club has to come out and make a statement.

  2. If we need to balance the books and sell one of our players i would sell McGregor he would command about 6-8m we have Alexander who is good enough for the SPL. There is also alot of deadwood which should be offloaded to square up the books.

I have no doubt Jelavic will end up in the Premiership i was thinking at the end of this season, he has been poor of late but i believe once he's motoring again he will be a massive player us, we need a quality partner to play beside him and someone who can poach goals. If he is sold and i don't see him going to Leicester we need to have someone with quality to replace him, going with Lafferty,Healy,Beattie, till even Jan could cost us big time.

  3. Regardless of how much has actually been spent, or whether Whyte has put his hand in his pocket.....things ARE happening!!!

The previous administration had neglected Ibrox...that is either being sorted, or has been sorted. How it is being funded is irrelevant....its getting done

The playing squad needed bulked up....6 (i think) new players brought in in THIS transfer window - when was the last time that happened???

Several KEY key players have been re-signed on LONG-TERM contracts....

How much of the above would have happened if Whyte hadn't taken over the club??? Miller was allowed to go coz the previous administration couldn't put a decent contract on the table.....Papac & Weir would have been off, and probably McGregor/Davis. Possibly a number of the younger ones as well.

Whyte may not have splashed out on several 2/3mill players, but he is building a stable platform for the Club to build on & hopefully increasing revenue streams to generate more income, which can then be put towards transfer budgets in the future - which should hopefully make the club more self funding!!!

Yet, regardless of the above....folk still criticise him!!!

Being realistic, I think Whyte would have been reckless/irresponsible if he was basing the spending on making the CL/EL etc. I think he would view that as a bonus, possibly for the next transfer window. It makes poor business sense to spend money that you don't have.

If you are happy with the start of the new Whyte/ Ally Era fair doo's to you. Getting knocked out of Europe will cost the club lost revenue we can argue who's to blame Whyte not backing Ally with quality players which was required or Ally failing with the squad he had.

We needed to Replace Bougherra we go for a quality CB and lose out offering in region 3m we then sign Bocanegra for 400k big difference. We had bids in for Goodwillie, Cuellar, Verhoek inc Juhasz over 8m where has that money gone? It is evident the team needs quality not quantity Goian looks like a good signing as was Wallace, we spunked 500k on Ortiz so far looks no better than what we have, 400k on Bedoya, 350k on McKay still to see what these 2 players will offer. You have to question why we not offloading the deadwood and get the wages down there are players at the club who shouldn't be there giving Healy, Weir, Kerkar, Little, new contracts is bad Management, we have got players like McCulloch, Edu, Broadfoot, Beattie, draing the club should be offloaded, but hey Ally seems to be happy with the squad.

We need a striker to partner Jelavic its plain to see and someone to bury the chances that has cost us so far this season, we yet again enquire about a player and look like we cant go to a 1m for him according to sources, if that the case Whyte has to be questioned as to where has the money gone.

  4. The commitment for this year is "to provide £5,000,000 for investment in the playing squad". This may well have been provided.

There is no commitment that the sum will actually be spent.

In addition, there is nothing to say that the £5m would be net. They may argue that any income received has to go towards costs and not netted off against transfer funds. They may argue that any signing on fees for Davis, McGregor and Whittakers' new contracts was part of the £5m.

    It's Murrayesque in its phrasing.

I was of the understanding that the season ticket money covers the wage bill, we spent 6m last summer under Lloyds and Whyte was funding Ally 5m to buy players so far we have spent just over 1m. Whyte has done up Ibrox with Catering Contractors Fee so far has he put his hand in his pocket. Could the old board have been right about Whyte.

  5. I'm as disappointed as the next man about the signings, form and standard of play. However, football's not just about individuals. It's a team game. We didn't get beaten by Maribor and Malmo because they had better players. We were beaten because they were better teams. Clubs in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and a host of small countries don't assemble squads that cost as much as ours, but they can give us a run for our money and make us look average.

Our problem is not about signings. It's about tactics, organisation and motivation. And team spirit and playing as a team.

    Couldn't dissagree with that.

  6. Where's that evidence? All I have seen was a player behaving like a bampot, first giving away a simple goal, then getting himself send-off. I saw us missing a number of gilt-edge chances at home, chances we'd have scored nigh any other day. But that was essentially pre-season for us, when sharpness levels could simply not be at a level you have seen in May. Add to that the fact that we were under strength and had a not exactly a settled side out there ... as well as utilizing some well practised, but essentially not very productive tactics. Against Maribor, we gave away silly goals which cost us over all. That is football for you. We've laughed about any such happenings when being done by other teams many times before.

Team v Malmo McGregor Whittaker Goian Papac Weir Wallace Davis McCulloch Edu Naismith Jelavic 9 players that won us the league hows it that under strength and not exactly a settled side are you kidding me on mate ?

  7. you think?

we just missed lots of chances, we were the better team in all games IMO we just didn't take our chances, whereas our opposition had much less chances but took them. We need a settled team and hopefully once the window shuts and we have all our players fit we will have. i'm sure we would have heard if there was unrest behind the scenes.

When the draw came up with Malmo i was very pleased i was confident we would beat them to go through the bottom line is we were not good enough and we couldn't learn from it and to got knocked out by Maribor is nothing short of embarrasing mate.

  8. I think the problem we have is obviously finance. No European football translates to a large loss for next season unless we sell a player or players.

I assume to get round this any transfer monies previously indicated will now be set aside to minimise any adverse affect on our accounts. As such, if we do sign any more players, they won't cost much - if anything at all.

    Spot on Frankie

  9. Ally tells the truth and we all start getting on his case get a grip guys. The signings aren't his first picks they all wanted to play somewhere else so f#*k them and without automatic qualification for CL can you seriously see us or septic will get through to the group stages of course we won't.

We should have beaten Malmo over two legs with the squad we had?

We should have beaten Maribor over two legs with the squad we had?

It is evident that there is problems going on behind the scenes between Management and players.

  10. I think the squad was out of its depth in 3 out of 4 European matches. Whyte hasn't given the funds to sign the quality of player we need for that level.

When you seen the CL Draw and we got Malmo did you not think the present squad was good enough to beat them?

Ally also told us they were READY for the game certain players let Ally down but his tactics and inability to change a game have to be desired. He was part of the Kaunas disaster as was the players who spoke about it yet haven't learned from it.

  11. Allys latest quotes to the press make me cringe he should keep his mouth shut " he can't see a scottish club reaching the CL group stages for years to come"

and "Thursday nights result was a dissapointment but i told the lads it how you handle it"

For me Ally was out his depth in European games and is lucky Mr Whyte hasen't sacked him.

  12. they train for a couple of hours in the morning go to lunch, then a product signing session then home at 1. won the murray park tour and had the distinct pleasure of waiting an hour and 15 mins to catch the players as they made there way home

Is this fact i thought the players trained in the afternoons as well, if true its scandalous.

  13. I think that stat says it all. These so-called "minnows" are far more ruthless than we are.

It was the same over there, by the way. How many clear cut chances did they create at home against us ? Maybe 4 or 5 tops ? Yet they got 2 goals.

We have nobody to blame but ourselves. Edu, Lafferty, Healy, Jelavic, Broadfoot - all sitters. We should have won that game out of sight last night.

    Ho hum, we move on....

Says it all we are simply not good enough no matter how you want to dress it up.

  14. Don't think Craig Whyte would agree with you 100% he has took the club over looking for European Revenue the club needs this to fund transfers for players, we haven't made it i think Whyte will be a very unhappy chappy as is the whole of the Rangers support.

Beating Celtic has and always will come first Domestically but we have to look beyond that when it comes to Europe, Ally and the players have let the club down.

  15. I think the standard of our league leaves alot to desire, when was the last time a team out with the old firm won the league Rangers and Celtic have dominated the league i think 26yrs shocking statistic. I don't see it changing for a long time to come.

  16. Perry has done no wrong he has been solid when required i would play him against Maribor, i don't think this team is any better than Motherwell and it will give him some european experience. But i do see Ally bringing in Bocanegra for him.

  17. Wylde has the potential he reminds me of a raw Gareth Bale who has now become a very good player, with the right coaching i believe he will become an important player for us in years to come. He has a major asset in the nowaday sport pace the rest will come with games and experience.

  18. It would be interesting to see if he gets game time but our midfield is slightly bloated he may get a chance out wide but I'm not too optimistic plus Kerkar was getting on before him against Motherwell....

I agree it will be interesting to see how many games he gets between now and Jan, he may get a start in the cis cup games. What is his natural position?
