I don't think this is aimed at us - they could never have imagined we would end up in the play offs!

I'm surprised at this. Was Llambias really prepping us for admin ?
How could Ashley benefit from that....he couldn't buy the assets and the penalty would ensure we stayed down....surely that would affect his retail sales
See the recent UCS situation for an example of his modus operandi

We were led to believe a NOMAD would get appointed.
The old board managed to get a NOMAD
The old board kept moving NOMAD until they found one that would do their bidding.

Maybe the potential NOMAD didn't fancy dealing with the deluge of complaints that will emanate from sections of the Celtic Support once we get back on a proper footing. Causing trouble with regulatory bodies is part of their modus operandi. They would also be aware that their is a block of unhappy shareholders lurking in the background who might be looking to cause problems when it suits their agenda. We may well be more trouble than their annual retainer would be worth.

Upon enquiry, I do not believe there was ever any realistic prospect of King being acceptable under AIM rules and there were also questions over P Murray.
So you are saying that the Club's Statement contains a lie?

Well what are they worth then?
The same as they were yesterday

It was clearly a dereliction of duty by Llambias and Leach. They should be sued for the amount that it has cost us
It sounds like they didn't do "due diligence"

Time they were combined into Dundee City anyway.
Dundee isn't big enough to support to full time SPL clubs.
When you amalgamate two average sized organisations...you end up with an average sized organisation.

Another mistake by club board.
I agree big mistake by the old board to try and disband the RFB

aye nae doubt they are to busy to faff around with something as irrelevant as the FOOTBALL TEAM! my point is that for a guy who isn't usually shy to sit in front of a camera and tell the world what Rangers need he is quite reluctant to tell us what the deal is with McCall, why they chose him , what his remit is etc.. I know why. it's cowardice. easy to shout from the sidelines like we all have the luxury of doing on Forums etc. it's not so easy to make the big decisions and have the balls to back it up. I think he's not keen to back a loser so is saying nothing until he see's how it pans out..
Why would a Director be making statements about football matters? We know the situation regarding McCall - he's there until the end of the season to try and win promotion.

Regardless of this, McCall isn't the man to take us forward, we need much better for next season. A guy who got sacked in the English 4th tier and took Motherwell to second bottom with 5 straight defeats is a universe away from being of the required standard.
He's a temporary appointment to the end of the season. I can't imagine there were many suitable candidates who would be willing to take the job for a couple of months under the current circumstances. McCall has nothing to lose...he goes back to his Scotland job once this is finished.

What potential customers ??? were we on the verge of gaining millions of muslim fans out of the blue or something ??
We do have some muslim supporters

It's basic sales...if you want to sell a product, you don't do anything that can loose you potential customers.

To use a metaphor, Chris Graham has been like a soldier in a war, the war to save Rangers, but the war has been won. Usually once the Victory Parade has been held the soldiers are given their medals and go home. and the peacemakers take the stage. It's perhaps time for someone else to take things on.

The best way you can replace a bit of soulessness, is by introducing people and children. Open up Murray park to the community, children training nights and weekends. Obvisously not when the team is in training,
They might make the first team!

Agree 100%.
Presumably the invitation was a one-off. Out of the fans who were invited into the box last night there were several season ticket holders, so it's not just boycotters. I understand that Gilligan has been at most games this season. I just don't see it as a boycott/non-boycott thing.
I'm also different from you in that I'd love an invite to the box.
It's the best place in the world to watch football.

In response to Rangers' announcement, Easdale's spokesman Jack Irvine issued a statement through Press Association Sport which read: "We are surprised at the announcement as you cannot suspend a director under the law of Scotland.
"We also note that they talk about an investigation. Sandy Easdale welcomes that as he has absolutely nothing to fear."[/QU
The notice refers to being suspended from their duties - not that they've been suspended as Directors. The wording is very precise.

I will be there for the first time in a couple of years. Looking forward to going back to Ibrox, though perhaps not quite so enthusiastic about the actual football! Taking my oldest son as well.

You would expect that RIFC/RFC will have granted the marketing rights to the joint venture company, and that any attempt to give them to anyone else or even handle them ourselves will be breach of contract.
