  1. I disagree mate,I think it would be good for everybody to discuss what their feelings/thoughts are on how he will do and then revisit this thread later to judge his performance. It's only a bit of fun so I don't understand your view that it is bollocks?. Let's talk about it. And I'm sure every Rangers fan is behind him 100%.

No i mean that actual "Poll" is bollocks not the actual written word.

Marcelo Alejandro Estigarribia (September 21, 1987) - Play in Argentina, at Newell's Old Boys, but it still belongs to Le Mans, the French club who has loaned out after relegation to the second series. He will play the Copa America, followed by Glasgow Rangers who have already sensed the deal, with the contract between the player and the Le Mans which will expire in one year. Inside left, perfect in a midfield five on the left hand lane. He has great pace on the wing, will join the expedition to Argentina and Paraguay.

Obviously we have to take it with a pinch of salt. But i can’t see Ally traveling to South America on a whim, he must have had a good heads up and a solid prospect of signing a player or two

  3. I think its safe to say we all need to re-ajust and accept Craig Whyte is not going to be a high profile owner. He will make statements now and again but from what i have been able to find out he has always done things very quietly. I will guess he will employ a new PR guy that will be his voice between CW and the fans.

Some will say when you are the owner of Rangers you need to have a bit of a profile and engage with the fans more, which i would really like to see. But instinct tells me that is not going to happen. The main thing we all need is patience. I know that does not come easy to a lot, myself included, but lets all try and sit on our hands and wait.

The transfer window is always like a game of poker, Ally got back from his Euro and South American scouting trip yesterday or the day before, so give him a few days to get his feet back on the ground then i am pretty sure hell be in his new office at Ibrox with his phone jammed to his ear as well as priming our new scouting team for their jaunts around the World when the pre-season starts.

I also feel we will get a few surprises, good ones. I sense there will be hastily arranged press conferences and a player being unveiled that we didnt even know we were looking at. The reason being so no one hijacks the player :uk:

  4. Was talking to the cousin of my girlfriend last night and he plays for Boca's Futsal team. He was telling me they were in a tournament in Hong kong a few weeks back and the Gers we also in the tournament. Didn't see anything about it on the Gers website so just wondering if anyone know's anything about it?

It was the Hong Kong Rangers supporters club mate

  5. What was the game in the last season or two where he had the sky guys at the Man U game wheel out a monitor where he could watch the Rangers game before United took to the field? May have been an OF game he was watching. There were pictures of this online.

Yeah it was one of the vital OF games too.

  6. One article I read was that SAF was offered the job and came for talks. He wanted a Souness type transfer budget to turn Rangers into a top European club but instead he was offered the budget eventually given to Jock Wallace. The story goes that THAT is the reason he turned us down.

Then two years later, Holmes is given the reigns and Souness gets the budget SAF asked for.

That's the one i have always been lead to believe is true.

  7. Mine was Ally McCoist 3rd against the Rat catchers in the Glasgow cup final at the end of the 85/86 season. It was supposed to be the first game Souness played but didn't.

Ally got a hatric scoring the third in extra time.

My other fav is a Davie Cooper free kick against Hibs in the 2nd leg of the League cup at Ibrox. I think it was season 83/84(?) We won 1-0 but went out on 2-1 aggregate i think?

  8. Really enjoyed it aswell mate, looking forward to the next instalment next week.

Walter is totally respected by his fellow pro's and I enjoyed sir Alex fergusons comments :)

I never understand some of the hatred Rangers fans have towards SAF. He ALWAYS speaks well of us and it's obvious he still keeps an eye on our scores

  9. Given a paycheque of £50K a week, loyalty means nothing. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't happy with him going any more than a lot of the rest of us were either, but given an offer of £200k a month or the probable £45k a month he was offered with us, I think it would be a no brainer. Even a dyed in the wool bear would find it hard to resist the cash.

    £45k minus tax
