  1. I'm no accountant but there's no guarantee a share issue would raise enough. And it also means the fans own the club, which I don't like.

I wouldn't be against the fans owning part of the club. It seems to work in countries such as Germany and Spain but I would be against fans taking sole ownership of the club. There is enough infighting at the club at the moment.

  2. I just want the whole thing sorted out one way or another. These kind of headlines are exactly what the players and management don't need going into the most crucial part of the season.

  3. The board have waited until now to raise a potential £25 million. Where is that going to come from? Have they got another money man or are they looking at some sort of share issue? I'm no financial expert but to me the whole think stinks of desperation to hang onto their positions.

  4. When you see clubs and fans across Europe getting away with murder it's hard to comprehend the severity of what our punishments could be. Having said that i agree with Calscot's sentiments that TBB, famine Song, FTP and No Pope of Rome must be consigned to history. It gives me no pleasure in saying that but fans have to be of the mindset I'm a Rangers supporter first and foremost over anything else.

  5. The whole thing stinks. Rangers have to take this all the way. I agree that TBB, Famine Song, FTP has to be binned by the support but I heard none of that over the two legs of that tie. Apart from 20 mins in the second half the atmosphere at Ibrox was pretty poor not helped by the awful football on show in the first half.

  6. I'll be renewing but will hang off for a couple of weeks before posting it away. During the season i was swaying whether to just pick and choose my games but would I do on a Sat? The idea of being dragged around a shopping centre does not appeal to me!!

  7. Another columnist who totally missed the point. It was McCoist's first offence and he appealed. It was Lennon third visit to the SFA beaks and he did not appeal. Hartson doesn't have a clue although it is funny to watch the Tims get so razzed up by the decision. They are doing what they do best - complaining!!

  8. I say a couple of million because despite doing reasonably well at the world cup and having CL experience, we've never had to reject a firm bid for him. He really isn't hot property, but I do agree that a whole new back 4 is quite an upheaval. Surely we'll still have Whittaker and Papac?

Think Whittaker will be the only one. As for Papac I'm not that fussed if he goes. He's not a natural left back and it's been shown this season the amount of times he hasn't closed down and allowed crosses to get into the box for other teams to score. His postional sense is questionable. No doubt a good servant but think we can do better.

  9. We'll be lucky to get a couple of mill for him. There's a reason no major serious bids have ever come in for him apart from some speculation; he's not really that great. But yes the timing is rotten. Then again, he's never exactly been bleeding blue blood so I doubt he really cares about any impact such an announcement at this time might make.

Would hope we get more than a couple of million for him Danny but I think it would depend on the takeover actually happening. Big problem now is that come the start of next season we will have to have a whole new back four, which is never a good thing.

  10. Yesterday and the game against St Mirren at Love Street were the two worst performances I've seen all season. We just didn't get going and our players couldn't even do the basics right. I lost count of the amount of times players like Naismith and Davis couldn't pass the ball to a Rangers player who was less than 10 yards away. It was woeful stuff.

  11. Don't have a problem with him leaving. he has given us three good years and he will go with my best wishes and hopefully £4 or £5 million in the bank. However, why didn't he just keep his mouth shut until the end of the season. The timing of this announcement is is absolutely pitiful.

  12. I know many would not have liked the idea however renaming our stadium would probably have made us a lot of money a few years ago.

I wouldn't have a problem with it to be honest. Everyone would still call it Ibrox anyway. Even if one of the stands was to be re-named it wouldn't be such a bad thing
