  1. Motherwell's Scottish midfielder Lennon Miller, 18, is a target for Liverpool and could be available for Β£8m (Caught Offside) 🀑 Leeds United striker Joe Gelhardt is keen on a January move to Rangers as the 22-year-old eyes the opportunity to play more regular football. (Football Insider) Rangers are unlikely to sign Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka in the January transfer window as the out-of-favour 21-year-old will attract Premier League interest and the huge financial package involved in any move for the midfielder has limited the Glasgow club's chances of a deal. (Football Insider) Croatian under-21s midfielder Marko Soldo who currently plies his trade with NK Osijek. The 21-year-old, Rangers News understands, is of interest to Koppen and the rest of the scouting team who continue to do their due diligence on the playmaker. It is understood Soldo could be available for between €2-3million.
  2. While not that many clubs will hare after them in January, we should keep fasteners on Jefte, Butland, and dare I say it, Igamane. The Englishman steady as ever, the other two start to show their talent ...
  3. Sluggish admin today 😱 ... 3 goals, 3 points, nothing special, but rather solid. Good game for Igamane (and you wonder whether he was really not "up to speed" earlier), who has a bit of the Morelos flair about him. Not afraid to have a shot, always in there, head doesn't go down either. Let's see how this new partnership develops. A touch disappointed with Cerny, and you do wonder why McCausland doesn't get any minutes.
  4. All a bit disjointed, but we took our chances well enough. Cerny somewhat off the boil to day, three chances and a pass straight to an opponent ... maybe today is the day of the left flank? The danger we pose with two strikers is obvious, although Hagi is somewhat wasted on the left wing. We need to keep Souttar and Balogun fit for next week. Seeing the Berliner doing his last gasp excellent tackles always gives me the fear about an incoming strain ... Dunno who's Sky's co-commentator today (McCann?), and there are worse, but somehow I think he's watching a different game. Started off with "a comfortable safe" for the Stag's goalie at Igamane's goal "bar that slight touch" (which I almost didn't see), to commentating the game essentially at a level comparable to the play before him. A bit strange, if it really is McCann.
  5. Central defence ..... IMHO, we again field our best partnership today (don't disappoint me now, guy!). I would have liked to see Ridvan and McCausland play today, they both can play on Thursday and need game time. Hopefully a lengthy sub appearance, maybe for Dowell too, who is also in the EL squad, not Hagi.
  6. NB: Should dynamo_rosco of FF happens by again and snaps up the transfer OP, be so kind and note the creator 😎
  7. TM says that we received ... - Euro 2m for Lammers - Euro 590k for Cantwell - Euro 360k for Wright ... and I have no reason to doubt them. What might be the case is that we receive some money in instalments (Lammers, most likely). For decades, the Scum has been able to buy low and sell extremely high, especially to the EPL (namely Southampton).
  8. Almost as funny as the Daily Mail claims about North Korean women soldiers in Ukraine ...
  9. Play two real strikers, and a decent creative midfielder ... no rocket since ... outside Ibrox, at least. Hope we now pick up from this. Very enjoyable to watch.
  10. Gut feeling says that there's a deal in place to get Shankland in the summer for free, or, given his current "form", in January for a reasonable sum. Unless we change our tactic, though, I don't think he's the answer.
  11. 21 games, 8 goals, and 2 assists this season, 1 yellow card. For comparison, Shankland stands at 21 games, 1 goal, 4 assists, and 7 yellows.

  13. It is one thing to go into transfer talks and deals with a low bid, not least if the seller is a bit cocky with his value. It is another thing to tighten the purse (given our stature) and thus keep one of the most creative people out of a side that is in dire need of creativity. Not least after Cantwell going and Lowry disappearing into obscurity. Matondo and Cortes' injuries didn't help, but why we played our actual playmaker - Bajrami - on the left wing is another of these tactical blunders which cost us dearly. As is playing Diomande in that role, who is essentially only a slightly more attack-minded version of Kamara - in so far, as he shoots at goal every now and then, instead of passing.
  14. Rangers want to sign Leeds United forward Joe Gelhardt on loan in the January transfer window. (Yorkshire Post) Aris Saloniki want to renegotiate the 4,2m agreed transfer fee for Cifuentes. Rangers face an uphill battle to sign reported target Relebohile Mofokeng - with La Liga powerhouses Barcelona now said to be keen on a move for the South African winger. (DR) "Rangers News" understands that Premier League outfit Chelsea have offered Carney Chukwuemeka to the Ibrox side ahead of the January window. Rangers manager Philippe Clement wants to extend the contract of John Souttar, saying a deal is "on the table" for the defender, who has 18 months to run on his current terms. (Glasgow Times) Rangers are considering back-up options for the role of chairman after failing to reach an agreement with Malcolm Offord. (Scottish Sun)

  16. Typically intense and tight game at McDiarmid, could and should have been easier, but three points and a goal is what it is. Get Igamane AND Danilo on, and we will reap the benefits. Hagi may not be the quickest and everyone's cup of tea, but he has these shots and crosses in him, that can change a game. Men of the match still Barron and Souttar, who kept their line clean and worked tirelessly. IMHO, right now, Souttar and Balogun are our best pairing. And finally some goodie for the first weekend of the Christman period (awaiting the appropriate gif by @Rousseau
  17. Igamane off is the right decision, another worker in Diomande rather than Dessers is wrong though.
  18. They essentially (like most Scottish teams) play like we do in Europe. Steady at the back, sharp in midfield and quick on the counter. Nothing new though.
  19. Not enough pressure on their backline, not enough attackers i.e. predatory strikers in the area, too much passing till we get a shot away ... Part 492.
  20. Another match where we don't need two CMs, but one more striker.
  21. Hateleys, (John) Browns, Robertsons, McCalls etc.
  22. Going by what is being whistled for, football in Scotland becomes more and more a contact-free sport ...
  23. Yes, but seemingly not made of British material.
