  1. AMcC - Jelavic is not available for tomorrow suffering from a sickness that has also affected several other younger players. AMcC - There has been no futher bids for Jelavic and he is hopeful that the Croatian will still be a #RFC player as the window closes. AMcC - He comments that he is sensible enough to know that in football circumstances can change.
  2. We'll probably hear about this during the press conference. I don't think he wants to be a rebel now, since his dream move to a big London club or Liverpool is not on the agenda just yet.
  3. Salihi for 500k, Brozek on loan and Bruins on afree, that would set us up nicely. Up front, that is. EDIT: If Ally is as outspoken as he was last Friday, today's press conference will give us a nice update on all the recent comings and goings and supposed targets. Starts at 12.00 and you can essentially follow it on twitter "live".
  4. While it seems the topic has change within the thread, I have to point out that the article carefully avoids to mention the allegiances of the attackers. Nothing unexpected, but duly notable. On a sidenote, I can't exactly follow the reasoning of some on here with regards to Gazza_8's first comment. (And yes, I generally do not keep track of everyone's posts on here and do a list of their general attitude on various matters.) I see nothing there to suspect that he does not hate the scum who did it like anyone else ...
  5. Weren't there earlier reports that we had agreed a deal with Motagua, paying 500k for Claros and Bengtson? Salihi and Brozek looks good business, you'd hope we get Guerra if we indeed sell Jelavic these coming days.
  6. Still not sure about the "failures" ranking here. We have hardly seen Ortiz, Bedoya and McKay for a longer spell in their correct positions and I for one still believe that they are good enough for the SPL. Right now, their chances of playing ahead of those in the team are just pretty slim. The problem for the reserves is that they don't get any playing practice and thus pick up money for nothing, which can't be a good thing either. No matter whether that is at Rangers or somewhere else. On a sidenote, people may argue about Uchebo's scoring record, but keep in mind that one Kyle Lafferty had scored only 10 goals in 83 games for Burnley ere we signed him up. Age and build and ability look to be somewhat the same. And we'll apparently get Uchebo for much less ...
  7. There will be people who have seen it, have heard it, and when checking these lads' flats they will see what team they support. Maybe someone one here or FF actually knows them and name and shame them. Throwing stones at someone should see them in deep trouble. As for Gazza_8's comment, I simply assume he meant that we also have lunatics (aged 15 to 25) amongst our support who will tell any Hooped Horror they meet all sorts of cosy names and the like. And if they do, the press will scream in splashy headlines for weeks.
  8. Maybe some reports about us being in the direst of needs to get in some cash are not exactly up to scratch. STV report on th rejected offer.
  9. An article just been published by SkySports giving a relativ objective overview about the events at Ibrox these last 12 months and our "problems" with HMRC et al.
  10. The "funny" thing is, that Ortiz has played right back in Spain, Little has played right back before, McMillan is an old-enough right back by trade, and we loaned another right back by trade in Darren Cole only recently. There is IMHO reason no need to play Broadfoot there this season, and Whittaker, as long as he's as poor as he was ... bar the "reason" that they probably pick up far higher wages? I think that as soon as someone shows interest in McMillan and/or Ortiz, Jaager will arrive. Broadfoot's and Whittaker's only reason for staying put right now is that they are injured at this moment and time.
  11. Unless I am mistaken, Albion Carpark is still owned to 95% by a company of SDM. Murray Park, according to the annual reports and land books (or whatever it is called in English), belong to Rangers FC. (Source: People who checked it over at FF)
  12. On a sidenote, it just sprang to my mind that while we may like Jaager, Ally / Whyte has budgeted for attacking midfielders and strikers more than others. Thus, Celik was dealed in. It could well be that Ally keeps his budget options open till he decides on Bruins and Claros, ere spending a wage on a rightback position we still have cover in the squad for (McMillan, Little, Ortiz ...).
  13. Well, let's see how this turns out. In any case, someone should finally get the finger out here.
  14. On a sidenote, if you where a chairman who has (as it seems to be) to look at every penny for the time being, wouldn't you ask your manager to cut the wage-bill by sending reserve-players (who have next to no games) or people unfancied out on loan? Whether or not you need the money to buy new players. Business-wise pretty logical. If only those who the gaffer selected were up for it not not seemingly running at 50 to 75% of their own standards.
  15. NB: It could, of course, well be that the doc at Murray Park is SDMs favored chap and he visited the ground to actually take in a game too, and visiting an "old friend or two". Nothing deeper involved and probably as likely as any scaremongering in the press or on the boards.
  16. Why would we send the "impressive" Estonian away and look at a South African instead. Will he cost 500 pound less in wages per week? Then again, the press will turn it in a way that make us look like loosers anyways, so what do we expect?
  17. You'd always have to keep in mind that the reporter tells this story from his point of view, using the quotes of people as they see fit. Sometimes you wish that the info-trail wasn't as quick and hasted as it seems these days, for as nice as it is, quite a bit of hearsay/assumption/rubbish transfers into these articles for no better reason than being the first with these news. (On a sidenote, one hates to see that some of the gloom-mongers of the press on Monday looked into the correct crystal balls regarding the Jaager deal. This lot will sure dance a jig about every bad news they predicted correctly ... ) You wonder what Murray told McCoist though. Some insights about and reason for Whyte's dealings so far?
  18. Isn't what the OP quote in nigh direct opposition to what Whyte said himself a wee while back? Since he himself saw the dire need of players. Not that FB is a source you would trust, nor is twitter or whatnot. Anyway, the gaffer has since reiterated that there have no bids for any of our players so far anyway.
  19. I doubt that they will simply sign him, after half a year of training with the national side, but no competitive game. Then again, O'Squeal may want to do his old club a favour, no?! Danny Very much depends on what you earned before, whether the tax case will have anything to do with your contract, whether you had Europe before and will or will not miss it for a half-season, and whether to see the low-form as your stepping stone into the first eleven., resurrect your career etc.. Or ... each coin has two sides.
  20. ... well, a 10% sell-on clause would be tempting, in addition to the 7.2m in hard cash.
  21. If only ... the problem is, the hearing was scheduled for exactly three days.
  22. My bad, Celik, of course!
  23. As long as Ally signs only the trialists who turn into another Aluko, I have no problem with that. Cervik looks good, Jaager seemed to impress him, and I think Ally can spot a striker ...
  24. Zlatan Muslimovic ... played his last game on May 25th, or so says Wikipedia. Cox is a 19-year old, while there was news about Bruins yesterday, so see above..
  25. Methinks both Celik and Bruins can play in the Naismith role.
