very happy as long as he is not playing another 50+ games this season -
he has certainly been a shining light from preseason so far this year. Match reports always look favourable on him, would love to see a home growing striker come through.

surely going a little ott there mate . Carlos is only 29 and is what 12 years younger than david weir. Miller has only been away 6 months. I will give you Gattuso though lol. Ultimately if these players can help secure us champions league group stages again then i think it is worth it.

Yeah have to agree I would love this to happen but I am in no way getting excited. Hopefully wages won't be an issue and Carlos craves champions league football. Let's see how this one pans out but right at this time I am expecting another kick in the balls.

Not in the slightest and that is the truth. If we get cuffed by hearts on the opening day of the season then I will start to worry. -
I would be more than happy to have him back as long as we don't fork out loads more than we sold him for and his wages are not too high. Would still rather see players for other positions coming in first though.

I feel shell shocked, never thought the day a signing would be rumoured and tied up in 24 hours . The way it should be. -
It is great news. We should not be surprised that we are having some issues in the transfer market at the moment, even if the transfer budget is top loaded this summer to say 7.5 million. McCoist and White have told us that we need to bring in 4-5-6 players. Doesn't really leave us with much to bargin with. So they are right to make sure they are getting they right players in and I have total faith that they will. We can't afford another James Beattie for example. My main concern however is that we have a bare squad going into the champions league qualifiers, after all we all know how that panned out last time around. As mentioned in the great first post, this is good a good sign with these players signing new deals and hopefully davis will join them.

I really do not know what to say about this. Maybe he showed enough in training over the last year to warranty a new deal to train for another year.

We really seem to be having to luck on the transfer front. This really needs to start changing in the next 2-3 weeks because the new season is starting to creep up fast.

Yeah agreed, I also guess we lack cover there and papac is getting on a bit as well. Could be long term full back for years to come. I fully expect the bid to be kicked into touch though
