  1. Drop him for a game or 2 & a few harsh words. won't go wrong in the grander scheme of things.
  2. It's a lucky call for McGregor - he clearly lashed out with his foot. However, given recent, similar decision there would be some explaining if he was punished. The East end will be up in arms....
  3. Sounded more like "Judas bastards"....In the case of SG, I'd assume for going up against St Brenda. Can't see how it would apply in any way to the players though. Probably thought he was being clever & it sounded good...
  4. Whereas Ceptic reducing Rangers allocation was an act of "tit-for-tat". Their decision was not taken to benefit their own fans.
  5. I would disagree.... Coulibaly has been outstanding since he came in. Ejaria had a slower start, but has been fantastic over the past 3-4 games. Kent is raw, but is keen fast & direct and has been improving game to game. Sadiq has been the biggest disappointment (so far)....limited game time & when he has played, hasn't really shown anything.
  6. The correct course of action. No use people moaning about things online, in forums etc. If there appears to be a grievance, pursue the proper channels.
  7. Why is that??? One major positive that the Independence referendum in 2014 had, was that interest in politics took a massive jump. More folk are talking about what's going on & who's doing what. Looks at the political discussions on here recently....I would bet that none of these would have taken place pre-2014. Questioning & watching the politicians is a good thing....that is why there have been soooo many scandals etc uncovered in the past few years - folk are asking questions.
  8. I think you are getting confused with James Dornan MSP....this is to do with Councillor Stephen Dornan (no relation). Since Cllr Dornan works along side Ms Aitken, it makes sense that she would consult with him on the issue.
  9. Are you suggesting that the folk who attended were unable to form their own opinions??? Based on the facts in front of us....it is clear that the local residents didn't like what was being proposed & therefore objected. The council have then followed their standard procedures with regard to public event licencing. Also worthy of note, that this is a different Dornan (this is Stephen(councillor), and not James(MSP)), from the one that everyone on here hates - they are no relation. So, what did the Club do in order to try & get the local residents on side??? From Ms Aitken's letter, it would appear...not a lot. But lets still blame the Bad SNP & their anti-Rangers minions....
  10. That last part was more of a general observation.....many folk are quick to criticise how things are run, but are reluctant to offer a practical solution themselves. Ont his particular subject that actually aren't enough people questioning the Community council - after all , it was them who raised the initial objection and apparently refused to with draw it. All to easy for many on here to simply go down the "SNP bad" route...
  11. So....now that Susan Aitken's letter is there for all to see, when is the ripping apart of her side of events??? If everyone here is sooooo adamant that it is the SNP led council that are at fault & that the decision was taken due to political/footballing bias, then there will be an abundance of background evidence that supports this view and that the series of events that Ms Aitken has commented on will be shown to be outright lies.
  12. Current UK Govt are doing a fine job of that on their own.... As for the Community council stuff....that's the usual approach - criticise everything that that they do, when it's other folk doing the work, but never offer your services. I've seen that all too often whether it be local councils, youth groups or sports clubs - folk are happy to be vocal when it's not them that's involved.
  13. ok, worshiping may be pushing it....but plenty on here are more than happy to blindly follow it's governance & "leadership" (no laughing at the back), all the while having (effectively) no say in how it operates.
  14. 100% agree about our defence. In the middle, I think we do have the players to dictate the game. Again, I agree about the wide players. Overall, the problem (IMHO) wasn't the quality of our players - we've see how they can play - it was the fact that the whole team was sitting far too deep & there were no options for an out ball. Kent & Lafferty we both camped in our half for most of the game.
  15. Bill (and others) have already made it VERY clear that if you support Independence, and/or the SNP....you are not welcome to be a Rangers fan. They have given up "inferring" anything Only Union flag waving, Westminster worshiping type folks are welcome within the Rangers support.
  16. It would probably do a number of folk the world of good to realise that there are 2 sides.... In this case, it took 12 pages of comment, before anyone actually posted what was said.....how many folk on this thread had READ Aitken's letter??? She has made it clear that the Council actually have no objections to the proposal. Where they do have objection is that Club employees had made their belief widely known on social media, that the refusal was down to religion/political bias. That belief has been blindly evident on here as well, with opinions being put forward without full knowledge of the process, procedures or facts. Just another case of "SNP hate us". Yet the basic fact is that the objection came from the local Ibrox community council & the club were unable to convince them to withdraw their objection.
  17. My thoughts on the game: We played right into Ceptic hands...and played exactly how every other team plays. They like to build from the back - casually passing between their back 4 & holding Mids. They rarely get ANY pressure from the opposition while doing this. Morelos would occasionally have a wee 1/2 hearted run at them, but nothing sustained or in any numbers. This allows them to firstly increase their possession stats considerably & also allows them to survey the play ahead of them. Gives the more forward players time to move about & create space. Then all it takes is 2-3 passes and their swarming the penalty box. As a result this makes Broonaldo look a helluva lot better than he actually is. Most team that have been them have identified this and press their defenders relentlessly . We simply did not press them enough for large parts of the game. Instead we invited them to attack & tried to soak up the pressure - which I think we did VERY well. I find that I'm no longer getting really nervous whenever a ball is played into our box. Soaking up that amount of pressure for 90mins is an exceedingly big ask for ANY team. I felt that our 2nd biggest flaw was too many long balls from McGregor. We were not winning the either the 1st or 2nd balls from the keepers long punts. This allowed them to reset & attack again - giving us no rest. We had very little opportunity to actually get a breather & retain possession for any length of time. I would like to have seen more pressure put on Broonaldo....booked after 10mins, we should have been right in his face and niggling him at EVERY opportunity. Ultimately we needed to push the game further up the pitch & let their midfield know that they are in a game....just didn't happen though. Overall, disappointed with the result but generally content with the play - we looked solid enough & with a few wee tweaks, could change things significantly.
  18. Interesting comment in the interview....about hoping the team qualify for the EL....obviously filmed before last nights match.
  19. Jack NEVER had a problem with red cards or general discipline until he pulled on a Rangers shirt.....
  20. Is the EGM still happening today??? Any updates etc
  21. We're now playing a much more physical game....that in itself opens up the risk of more cards.
  22. Right side is definitely his more favoured position....he's decent on the left though. He still got sent off, putting us down to 9-men though - you could argue that if we'd lost it would have more down to Flanagan's red than Morelos'...
