I think it'll be 2-1 to the Gers or 1-1 at worst. I always think Rangers can beat anyone just the way I look at it. If we get through I hope the fans who think Lyon will beat us will say something positive for a change! And if we get beat then they can of course gloat as much as they want...........although I wouldn't gloat anytime about the team I support getting beat!!

I agree with Frankie that we defend too deep due to DW and his lack of pace at times and if we can get someone else in better than him I won't argue. I just think as most have that the man esspecially for his age has been outstanding for us and for Scotland but all good things must come to an end and I see/hope this could be his last season in the first team, and if he did stay would be cover at best but what good cover to have.

I don't just think it's the Rangers way m8 even if it seems that way. Look at every top team and most of their signings will be imports with very little home grown players in the team. Arsenal of course usually buy younger players with potential and that's a gamble but most have paid of for AW but some have went without playing a game. Apart from the Man Utd team of old where they got a lot of top young players coming through together most top teams IMO will always buy the majority of their players with the odd few home grown getting a game if good enough and IMO I don't think it's just the Rangers way as you put it :cheers:

I hope when Smith does come back you will admit to posting these IMO daft posts, why would Rangers even think about saying he is a matter of a few weeks away from a comeback when his career is 50/50 as you say If you are right then I will apologise to you but again like last time if you don't say who your source is (if you even have one) and just say the same old my word is my source then I and probably everyone else will not believe you in the slightest m8 :cheers: You have been wrong with a few things already with your predictions and I just think you post things to start a debate (fair enough) but most of the time I don't think they are good debates......but hey that's only my opinion :cheers:

it's the reserves m8 don't get upset over it :fish: the reserves should be for trying fringe and young players out and there are different teams/players every week, as long as the young guys are doing ok which they are I wouldn't get upset about being so far behind in the reserve league :cheers:

better than nothing m8, i can't see him getting a bigger club at this stage of his career. depends if he wants to play regular football or not. he would probably earn less money elsewhere with less chance? of winning silverware or playing in the CL. If he played well next year then he would get another year until he gets too old or isn't producing the goods anymore.

i take your point m8, lovenkrands did do well in big games but for me games against the wee teams are just as important and him and the likes of Buffel done/do nothing in them and I don't think any manager could change their attitude but I could be wrong. I would be a very unhappy bear to see any of the 2 of them in a Rangers jersey again :cheers:

if we did drop any points against gretna then i'm sure fans would then say well maybe we should've posponed it. 3 points in every game is vital and I would rather play with our top strentgh team in every game no matter who it's against rather than field a 2nd string team as it might come back to bite us in the bum!!!

so now he's crap for having fresh air swipes Gribz His overall contribution was very good and he got in some great positions even if he did miss a few great chances but he wasn't the only one and nothing is mentioned about them just Boyd. I think the team played very well yesterday and Naismith gives us more movement and commitment than the likes of say Bufell has and would ever give us IMO, I really hope we get rid of players like Buffel in January, they are a waste of money. Why anyone would want to get rid of the most natural goalscorer we have had for years is beyond me. For me a striker scores goals that's his job and Boyd's record for us is great. JCD, when fit, will be a great partner for Boyd to have up front and they would hit it off very well. I really hope that Hutton and Boyd stay for a while to come.:cheers:
