  1. Apart from the big tax case..... That was always the big unknown for any potential owners, regardless of how much money they put in, they could have lost it all if the result goes against us.

if mate. that's my point, if.

  2. Good job TBK didn't get in.

They had absolutely no Plan B for when their CVA failed.

They'd have stood back again and let HMRC destroy whats left.

you got what you wanted mate. good luck with it.

seems to me hmrc want liquidation so green perhaps shouldn't have offered them it on a plate. though its what he and d&p always wanted so I doubt he cares.

  3. I fail to see how anyone could have come in and done a "proper job" at Rangers in the last year without losing something like £30m of their own money. As it is, Ticketus have lost about £16m and HMRC have lost an extra £14m. They've taken the hit instead. Who would do that? The answer is no-one - the proof was in the eating when we were up for sale.

Whyte did what he did so that he couldn't lose a penny and in fact probably made a few bob.

we had a 10 million shortfall 7 million plus of that created by whyte.

any other owner only needed to pay the bills that were paid every other year of our existence.

whyte bought a company with manageable debt and huge cash at bank.

  4. Thoughts are with the employees of Rangers today. Many good hard-working folk, with mortgages to pay and families to feed, at Ibrox

hopefully they will be tupe across to the newco but d&p have been less than convincing on that according to my cousin at mp.

  5. what really gets me is that this was utterly unnecessary. no need what so ever for us to be in liquidation.

indeed if you read hmrc reasons for rejecting its clear if the right people owned us over the last year a cva would have been possible if the big tax case went against us.

we've been conned and abused. the trouble is just as it was when whyte took over its been horrible knowing what was coming and facing nothing but abuse just for saying it.

    not on her in fairness.

I hope people can learn that just because its bad news it isn't a lie.

  6. GS just for once put a f#*king sock in it for minute and think about the club instead of your personal issue with Green.

You might not want to go see a new Rangers but I many thousands do.

I wish them all the luck in the world. they will need it with green in charge imho.

  7. I look for positives you enjoy depressing winding up of posters already at a low ebb.

Buy hey that's your style of posting.

    I just tell the truth.

the fact the truth is depressing right now isn't my fault.

I could kid on everything's fine like so many but I see no value in it. if nothing else you can't say you were surprised today and that's good.

  8. The positives have to be no worry of the tax case and we will be able as a newco to buy players, seems to me it didn't matter who bought Rangers we would have to have went the Newco route as HMRC would not agree to a CVA.

    Correct me if i'm wrong.

If you believe d&p. not sure why anyone would mind you.

  9. My gut feeling is the newco asset sale will go through but the Green group will sell quickly (probably before the start of the season) to another group for £8-10million.

    oh dear god.

    profiteering just what we need.

  10. Sorry, to me it's totally HMRC. Murray took risks but he thought the EBT's were legal - and we could still win the case. All HMRC had to do was come for us after the first year - then if we'd have lost we'd have a bill for about £2.5m, paid it and never done it again. Even if we won we'd have probably seen it as too risky.

By doing nothing HMRC have racked up the bill to 30 times what it would have been. To me it's either negligence or entrapment.

I doubt there are many on here that have paid every penny of tax they are due in their lifetime - would you castigate yourselves as much as Murray if HMRC came after you with an inflated 100 grand bill? How about if the DVLA came after you for £180 for every time you went even a wee bit over the speed limit in the last 10 years if they found they had evidence of them all? Or the council for every time you parked a bit dodgy - like two wheels on a pavement or grass verge?

We're all guilty of slight dodgy stuff but how much do we think we should pay for our sins of the past 10 years especially when most of it has been treated as acceptable?

all the money we owe hmrc is money whyte should have paid.

  11. green can get to fuck if he thinks I am subscribing to shares in his newco. he can replace the shares that have been in my family for decades for free if he wants.

oh and I've read his cva. his numbers in that statement aren't true.

  12. What worries me now is just how hard HMRC are going to be on our club. Will they allow Sevco to go down the Newco route or will their own liquidators sweep in an halt this procedure?

I think their liquidators are indeed now in charge.

  13. Looks like a CVA was never on the cards no matter who tabled it, HMRC doing what it does best ignoring the bloody obvious for their pound of flesh.

I don't agree but of course its hard to prove that. more info may come out mind you.
