  1. I said I do not condone the celebrations. I do not condone the writing on the wall either.

So, for what do I need to seek help?

You said that I didn't condemn Green I did he was stupid, I feel no need to run around calling him a racist though.

I also believe the actions of these wee scum and their fellow scum in George Square far outweigh a stupid remark made by a motormouth as a stupid joke to prove he does discriminate about who he signs for Rangers.

The folk in George Square embarrassed a nation last night imo, that far outweighs anything Green has done he only embarrassed himself.

  2. Yes from me. Better than what we have and would steady the ship, even being a year older.

Will be interesting though given his wages - anyone know what Boca is on ?

Hopefully he might take a wage cut, but I agree we need him badly in the defence.

  3. ANYONE making racist comments should be brought to task. It is stupidity - we may not agree with how PC the world has gone (some will say it is racism but we all know that there is faux outrage at much of this - personally I think the PC world is over the top) but given they are deemed to be racist comments then they should be brought to task.

Example.... living in Bermuda 60% of the population is African-American... my mother came out on holiday and made a flippant comment about a "darkie" - and I can tell you that I certainly didnt laugh it off. As soon as I got home from work I sat her down and explained to her how that is unacceptable. She was a bit shocked at me for telling her off about it but she understood that it isnt acceptable and no longer uses it. I am not making any defence for her, or CG, but they do come from a different generation where these types of things were almost acceptable. Not in this day and age and thankfully my Mum taught herself the rights and wrongs of it all, after my harsh words.

Never argued he shouldn't, although everybody except DB seems to think I've condoned his stupid comment.

All I and DB pointed out was I hope the outrage and media coverage is the same the next time a foot in mouth moment happens in Scottish Football, somehow I doubt it.

  4. Can I have Owain Tudur-Jones? Cracking name! :D

BTW, wasn't Iain Vigurs one of the better chaps in the SPL?

Sidenote: you do wonder why all these SPL teams have that many contracts running out? If some teams keep that up, there's hardly a team left for them next season, unless they fill it with other freebies.

One year deals easier to budget for would be my guest.

  5. Feel free to read that again. I was merely making the point that my opinion or level of respect for someone does not automatically change upon their death. If someone was an arse in life, death doesn't make them a martyr. That said, dancing/celebrating upon the death of anyone is not something I engage in or support.

    My apologises.

  6. I don't see someone dying as meaning they deserve automatic respect. Should we respect any killers who die purely because they may have family. Respect isn't a given, it's something that is earned.

I had no respect for her alive and the same stands now.

I do however have respect for human life and would never rejoice in the death of a person. Silence is golden and all that.

For someone who holds herself to such a high standard on another thread, that is a disgraceful view you hold on here and shows that your so called high standards aren't that high.

Tell me who Thatcher killed personally?

Her family deserve the respect of not watching people celebrate the death of their Mum and Gran. You don't like her then shut up and walk away.

As I said I've no like for Maggie she put almost every member of my family on the scrap heap at one time, but I would never celebrate her death, or condone anyone who would.

  7. I would not condone the celebrations in George Square, nor do I condone my taxes going towards paying for her funeral.

I find it hypocritical that you will not accord the same respect to the living by condemning Charles Green's racist comments as you will to a dead politician.

Again you obviously read what you want to read, I said what he said was stupid. But if you think Green cracking a bad taste joke about his pal and these little f#*ks writing that on the side of a pub and those scum in George Square playing songs over a loud speaker to celebrate someone's death.

Then my friend you really have a weird way of looking at the world and I suggest you seek help for it.

  8. I'm not twisting anything. If you weren't referring to yourself then who were you referring too?

Anyone who is unfairly highlighted while others are allowed to say and do what they like.

As for being White and English speaking meaning I don't get any discrimination, what world do you live on that only white English speaking people do the discriminating.

It would appear that you have made your mind up that only white people are racist which would be laughable if it wasn't so stupid.

  9. Is it so difficult to behave as a decent person should? Do we need gold star badges for being reasonable? Yes it would be nice if everyone was treated the same. If they were there would be no racism, misogyny, xenophobia etc in the world. But there is. Adding to it because 'it's no fair they get away with it' is childish and ignorant.

We either believe as a club & set of fans that we want to set the standard, that we want to be taken seriously or we don't. CG can come up with any excuse under the sun. A simple apology would have sufficed. I've never thought badly of CG or had an agenda but I cannot defend this whatsoever.

As fans we should hold our CEO up to a higher standard than this. Not pass it off, because Celtic seem to get an easier pass or whatever.

Jeez is everyone taking stupid pills today or are you all just missing DB's point to suit your agenda of having a kick at Green. Neither DB or myself are saying what he did was right we both said he was stupid.

But if you are going to pull Green up for racism then you have to do it with everybody in the same manor or all you are doing is let racism win. What DB pointed out but you all fail to grasp is this wouldn't have been half the story it is if it wasn't Rangers and that in my view makes them as bad as the racist on the street.

If you can't grasp that concept I'm sorry for you all.

Is isn't aimed solely at you BM so apologises if you think it was, you just happened to be the first post I got to.

  10. he's playing with fire if he tries to take on McCoist. Remember, Walter is a non-exec, and Walter's long enough in the tooth to know that if McCoist is forced out, then his own position becomes less powerful. If both Walter and Ally were to speak out about something, the impact would be greater than the sum of the parts and the fans would listen. If Green loses the fans before the reappointment in August, he'll be out of a job.

Walter and Ally have to tread carefully, because if they oust Green and the football doesn't improve then they will feel a terrible backlash. If Ally is a savvy as I think he is he will like Green there to take the glare off his short comings as a manager.

  11. I wouldn't call not using racist comments "heavenly perfection".

You seem to be taking the approach that it's OK for people at the club to do what they want as long as others are puitting he boot into us. There may be times where that might apply but there are things that are unacceptable and this is one.

Green is not perfect. He deserves to be praised for the good stuff that he does and he should be criticised on other occasions. This is one of the latter.

I agree he was stupid, but you seem to be missing DB's point, it has been blown all out of proportion, and you have to ask yourself if we would be seeing this level of scrutiny if it was someone out with Rangers.

  12. OOOO!, I got an answer

    Comment From Ian

Do you think the media and Celtic fans obsession with Rangers is healthy?

    12:53

It's happened since before either of us were born, Ian. Unless you're over 100 years old, that is...

Well we have been the only show in town for a long time.

Ask him why all other league construction ideas have been waved away out of hand and why does it have to be this year or not at all?

  13. I actually asked him if he thinks this is the biggest story in Scottish football?,and I would have thought the failing league reconstruction would be the big topic,no reply!

Pretty much sums it up mate, not interested in the real problems we face.

  14. Was told on Sunday night by Green that the plans for this are in his office!

They were also in Bains office, the whole idea is a load of bollocks.

Seeing as you cornered the bold Charlie on Sunday, can we get a blow by blow account. :)
