  1. We've had 2 players injured inside the first 20 minutes. Squad seems invaluable now.

Brilliant to see someone finally come out and say what Carlos has. For YEARS we've all been saying that the grass isn't always greener on the other side (Premiership) but so many players go there just to fade into mediocrity whilst earning a healthy pay package for it, turning their back on European football and medals for the sake of a pay rise. Ferguson did well when he came out and said he found out the hard way it wasn't all it's cracked up to be and was big enough to admit he made a mistake, glad to see Carlos won't make the same one. Loyalty is rare these days so always nice to see it.

  4. There's been Lovenkrands rumours? Would welcome Rino back in a heartbeat.
  5. Had Swansea, Nottm Forest, Sheff Utd and MK Dons.. well and truly fucked.
  6. A back 4 of Whittaker, Broadfoot, Dailly and Papac wouldn't fill me with confidence.
  7. Wind up, Pete?
  8. Both played 90 minutes in a 3-1 win .
  9. Celtic striker Derek Riordan claimed manager Gordon Strachan was "talking rubbish" by claiming that he is still in his plans. Riordan was signed in June 2006 after scoring 64 goals in 146 appearances for Hibernian but has failed to make an impact at Parkhead. The 25-year-old could not even find a place on the bench for Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Motherwell which all but ended their SPL title hopes. "I only get chucked on when we need a goal so he must think I can get him one," Riordan told Scotland on Sunday. "But he obviously doesn't want to do it unless he really has to because he doesn't want me to prove him wrong. "He knows I would score quite a lot if he played me as much as he has played the other strikers but I don't think he wants to be proved wrong. "When I speak to him, he's nice to me and says all the things that players want to hear about me being part of his plans but you know by his actions that he is talking rubbish. "It is frustrating. I was left out of the squad (for the defeat against Motherwell) and was training with the reserves on Friday. "I've virtually chucked it at Celtic , what's the point when I'm not getting a chance? "I feel let down by the manager. I remember him sitting in my mum's house trying to sign me and he said I could play anywhere in his midfield or up front. "It was the same in the press conferences but now I can only play left-midfield for some reason and that's not even my best position." -- Don't really think any player should slam a manager he's still employed under, but still.. in this case you can't help but feel like Strachan has been a bit of a pompus arse and is another case of him being made to look silly.
  10. I'll be there.. looking forward to it.
  11. Noticed Gazza calling him arrogant or something earlier. Let's be honest, with talent like his, who wouldn't be?
  12. Croatia striker claims Gers interest Croatia striker Ivan Klasnic revealed after the draw with Scotland at Hampden Park that Rangers have made an approach to sign him. The 28-year-old came on as a substitue in the friendly on Wednesday night and could make a permanent return to Glasgow in the summer. Klansic has recovered after having to undergo a kidney transplant 11 months ago but so far German giants Werder Bremen have yet to offer him a new deal, meaning he can move for free this summer. Klasnic revealed former Rangers and Croatia striker Dado Prso has been advising him on life in Glasgow and that there has been interest from across the city from Celtic. He told the Evening Times: "I have had contact from a few big teams. Both of the Glasgow clubs, and Rangers have been very keen. "Of course I know all about the club after Rangers played Bremen a few weeks ago in the Uefa Cup, although I didn't play in those games because I was injured. "Dado has spoken to me many times about Rangers and I know what a fantastic club it is - he has been here with us this week at the hotel and you can see how much he loves Scotland. "It's a great club with an excellent stadium and amazing fans. "I will see what happens with my future, as there has also been contact with me from German clubs. "Bremen have said they will talk to me about my future and a new contract, but there has been nothing so far." - Was a fine player a couple of years back but not really sure how his whole injury worries have effected him (interestingly, he underwent 2 kidney transplants, one from each parent). But if he can get back to the form he was in a while back, especially when he's available for free, I'd take him in a second.

    Dilemma

Good to see Fraser's use of 'I'm' instead of 'Am' lasted..
  14. £40 for a ticket is scandalous.. still paid it mind you.
  15. The Bebo idea is atrocious. Not the kind of community we want to attract.
  16. Rangers Football Club has today become the first UK-based club to join Superleague Formula - an exciting, new motorsport championship which kicks off at the Donington Park racing circuit in August. Rangers - the last British side remaining in the UEFA Cup this season - will be the sole Scottish representative on the Superleague Formula grid and will compete against AC Milan, PSV Eindhoven, FC Porto, Olympiacos, Borussia Dortmund, RSC Anderlecht, FC Basel, Galatasaray SK and Sevilla plus Brazilian greats Flamengo and Corinthians in the six round championship later this year. The Club's blue, white and red colours will adorn the 750 horsepower, V-12 powered Superleague Formula single-seater car and the new Rangers car - one of 20 that will line up on the grid - will be unveiled at Ibrox Stadium next month. Rangers Chief Executive Martin Bain commented: "We are thrilled to join so many great clubs in a totally new sporting endeavour - a project which will not only promote Rangers across the world but also provide an income stream for the Club. "We will benefit greatly through sponsorship, television and spectator revenues so it is a win-win situation for us. Superleague Formula will introduce the passion of the Rangers brand to a whole new range of fans, in addition to our existing support, and we are proud to represent Scotland in the new venture. "The Club has enjoyed some fantastic European nights of late and we look forward to competing against some of the biggest names in world football in Superleague Formula." Alex Andreu, Superleague Formula President and CEO, is delighted to have Rangers Football Club on board. With a world record 108 major trophies already secured - 51 League Championships, 31 Scottish Cups, 25 League Cups and the 1972 Cup Winner's Cup - he says Rangers are a welcome addition to the list of teams competing for glory. Andreu commented: "Rangers record is really quite remarkable and we are delighted that they are now part of Superleague Formula. "We are looking at bringing together the biggest brands in world football to take part in Superleague Formula and Rangers is a perfect addition for us. "Not only has the club been wildly successful throughout its history, the Rangers fans are incredibly passionate and we are looking forward to encouraging them to make the trip down to Donington Park to see their car do battle in the opening round of the championship. "The Superleague Formula grid is certainly filling fast. We have 12 of the 20 spots now announced, two additional clubs to announce after Easter and we are currently finalising arrangements for the final six places." Pre-season training has already begun for Superleague Formula with the V-12 powered, 750 horsepower prototype hitting the track for the first time recently at Donington Park. Testing will continue after Easter at the Circuito Monteblanco in Spain. 17. How dare you question my grasp of the English language. But yeah, that's what I meant. .
  18. (This isn't about his hair so thought it merited it's own thread rather than just added to Jon's). Chris Burke should never see the light of day in a Rangers jersey beyond this season. He's what, 24 now? The word 'potential' no longer applies, and he's showing nothing. Sure, he scores the odd fantastic goal every 15 games, but that's not enough. Every corner hits the first man. Every freekick hits the first man. To me, the only reason he is on set-pieces is because he'd be so useless in the air at attacking them. People say he can go by a player, but for every one time he beats a man, he gives it away 17 times. He goes down like he's been fucking shot with the smallest brush of an arm. Whether it's through gamesmanship or a genuine lack of upper body strength, either way, it's useless. Thought his performance today optimized the lad. Genuinely not good enough. Plus, he's an ugly wee rat with a terrible haircut. Rant over.
  19. Sweet fuck I can't handle that. Why he started with that 4-5-1 with McCulloch I'll never know. It took us 65 minutes to get anywhere near what the starting 11 should be. McCulloch is NEVER a striker. He cannot play up top whether it's himself or with a partner. But a wins a win.. thank fuck for Boyd.
  20. There's being excited then there's just being a bit sad and doing a one man bouncy in a bedroom sober.
  21. Nice. Enjoy your first fonal.
