  1. If only that was the case! He is trying to engineer himself into that scenario or at least he was...HMRC will still have a massive say on the value of a CVA and if they are willing to accept one at all. The secure creditors don't get to vote in the agreement but the unsecured ones do so HMRC could very well say "we want 90p in the £" and effectively liquidate us. Let's hope Cameron and all the other political messages have filtered through to HMRC and that they will go for a deal that is feasible for Rangers to pay.
  2. I've been listening to plenty of reaction on Talksport, 5Live etc and when the subject comes up (Celtic's reaction) they are pretty shocked at how they have reacted to this. Adrian Durham couldn't believe the stuff coming from tims. They have completely discarded any semblance of decency to vent their hatred of us. I think it has opened a few eyes and ears to their lunacy.
  3. Here is the crux of the matter...borrowing money to buy a business isn't fraud, it becomes fraud if you borrow from or secure borrowing on the business you are buying. All he has to do is prove that the Ticketus money went into one account (and wasn't secured on Rangers) and the takeover money £18m to Lloyds) came from another. The biggest risk to Craig Whyte's liberty is the Stockbroker deal that as far as I can see has no relevance to Rangers.
  4. He's maybe had second thoughts this year due to media coverage and intrusion into every nook and cranny of his life but I think he is arrogant enough to think that all is will blow over and he will be left sitting pretty owning something that he covets. Maybe this is his last big score before he takes up residence in his castle? Who knows....
  5. Not blinded at all mate, it's just doesn't sit right with me in today's world. They do work for the UK no doubt but then they have to something to justify their existence.
  6. To be brutally honest I'd remove the whole Monarchy and all it's Knights Of The Realm, Lords and Ladies. Irrelevant and unelected.
  7. He'll be back, standing on the steps reading out his statement shows me that he isn't afraid of taking a bit of abuse. He will want to make a statement just by being there. He will face a battle to retain ownership and the best way to do that is to be there.
  8. The stigma and reek of malpractice will sit with Craig Whyte NOT Rangers Football Club, when he has finished the job he'll be gone and watch the media drop him like a stone.
  9. I stopped reading tabloid newspapers a year or two ago and I can honestly say my life has been improved as a result. None of them have got anything right about events at Rangers...
  10. McGlone - "Celtic have stood on their own since 1888" Kelly - "No that's not true, Celtic have been part of the Old Firm since 1888" Hahahahahha typical bheasts can't put a cohesive argument together between them.
  11. We'll still be in this process in a couple of months time. Hope not but the end of March deadline is a pipedream at the moment.
  12. So in simple terms, it's not Rangers problem. This is the key issue and obviously the one the media were more concerned with, so if that's the case I'm not concerned in the slightest. If CW has borrowed the money and secured it then it's his problem but also for the first time shows me that he or at least one of his companies has something invested in this.

  14. Am I right in thinking they said the Ticketus debt is not a liability of the football club?
  15. They said it that would need to be investigated and confirmed. No definitive answer.

  17. I didn't vote because I don't agree with the language of the options. "Saviour" might the wrong word for him but I do trust that he is doing this both for his own good and for the club. Maybe in time he will be viewed more of a saviour but not for a season or two.
  18. Here's a thought - if Celtic were in the same situation and along came a guy called for example Patrick O'Hare who conducted himself in exactly the same way...would there be such an outcry from their own fans about the morality of depriving the public purse of cash to "save" Celtic? I think not.
  19. Yes but you are a wealth of information on Thai hookers, midgets and vats of jelly ;-)
  20. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/9084826/Rangers-owner-Craig-Whyte-will-not-face-criminal-charges-over-9m-owed-in-tax-and-VAT-for-the-time-being.html
  21. This is an absolute disgrace of a decision.
  22. Fans ownership or membership models frightens the life out of me. Human nature invariably overrides any emotions for the club and board members use their position to further their own businesses and careers. I'd be more comfortable with a PLC set up with a seat on the board for a fan's representative.
  23. I must have been thinking of Celtic's wage bill! Didn't have the figure to hand.
