  1. Wow, thanks for that. The attendance went up as Stockport has a far greater population to Sale, plus they were getting success too. You'll need to explain to me what attendance has to do with the local community. How many folk from Wimbledon travel to Milton Keynes to watch the Dons?
  2. Our players at U15 level are not good enough to play for the Scottish national team, something which should have alarm bells ringing given the likelihood of our future seeing us being unable to pay even the sort of wages we can now. Bringing through our own players will be paramount to our success, even on the domestic front.
  3. Not really anything to do with Rangers per se, however, it does show that the emphasis he places upon 'sport for the community', didn't get in the way of him first ditching the community in Sale in favour of a better stadium in Stockport, and now moving the team away again, this time to a new purpose-built stadium in Salford. Hollow words.
  4. I'm sorry, but that whole article is nonsense if it is to be approached from the premise that we were cheated. The Naismith injury wasn't anything to do with us being cheated, neither was McGregor chucking one into his own net. The luck that we carried in many of those early league games deserted us, once again highlighting McCoist's limited ability as a manager. This resulted in the huge points turnaround with Celtic, one which was made all the worse with the ten point reduction we received for going into administration. Even then the team compounded it by surrendering in three straight home games, putting us out of yet another cup competition and ending any remote chance of keeping pressure on Celtic going into the final stages of the league. As great as Sunday's result was, it was for pride only, and no matter how many times the league is described as tainted, the table will still show that they are crowned champions, and if we are really honest, they have been the better side.
  5. It did happen in 2002 after Sky's bid for a new tv deal was knocked back. A pay-per-view SPL TV station was mooted but when it was knocked back by Rangers and Celtic, the other ten resigned after a two-year deal was done with the BBC. A deal was agreed between all the clubs a few months later, leading to the resignations being withdrawn.
  6. Cheers, bud, I've upset enough folk o'er yonder, but I'll try to be on my best behaviour! I can't see why there would be any reason for this move unless they have been given a heads-up on the ruling. We should be no worse off than we were last season.
  7. How far ahead of a public announcement being made on the tax case would the relevant parties be informed? If this administration isn't even linked to that, then is there scope for even worse to come?
