  1. In no particular order my fave stadiums to have visited bar Ibrox.

    San Siro

    Anfield

    Goodison

    Villa Park

    Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

    Juventus Stadium

    Emirates

    Stamford Bridge

    City Ground

    Stadium of Light.

All have their own charm, I liked the new Wembley. It is a bit soulless but I think if you followed your team there it'd be awesome.

Before the game on BT Sports he told Emma Dodds that he picked Katic ahead of the usually dependable Worrall because Spartak were a threat at set pieces & he could defend them better. 4 goals conceded from crosses into the box suggests otherwise & there could have been more. Ejaria & Flanagan were mortifying yet again as well & you have to wonder if Juergen Klopp is picking the Rangers team now. As bad as Spartak were in the 1st half, we never really turned up in either half & have just blown a never to be repeated chance to qualify, against by far the worst team in the group!! There is a serious problem with this team holding on to leads. Basically get rid of the lot of them apart from McGregor & Morelos!!

You're of course entitled to your opinion dude.

But you can't honestly believe this? It almost feels you are being purposefully obtuse and not looking at the bigger picture.

  3. The team looks like it needs a rest.

We have a fairly young average age and our squad is threadbare more so with the recent injuries.

It is unfair to say we are moving backwards. We clearly aren't given where we were last season and where we are now.

But we 100% need more depth to the squad.

All the plans you have outlined revolve around the strikers. We should be able to change the game regardless of the striking personel (including Sadiq). If we made tons of chances and Sadiq couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo you could point fingers at him but we created next to nothing. That suggests to me that the striker option is not the core problem but our failings lie in the way we are set up behind the strikers.

Thats not strictly true. Sadiq was caught offside how many times, 5/6 possibly more?

It got to the point Gerrard was shouting at the player to be more aware and to stop blindly running. Also there were times during the game Sadiq was woefully out of position to the point you didn't know what the hell he was doing.

I'm not laying it all at Sadiq's door and like Gerrard said; the buck stops with him. But I'll be surprised if Sadiq starts again for us.

  5. For all the mentions of Gerrard having no Plan B yesterday. I feel it needs to be taken into consideration that yesterday was probably Plan C.

If Morelos hadn't have been booked then he starts which is Plan A. He got booked, therefore he was suspended so Lafferty would normally be Plan B.

Lafferty was cup tied so Sadiq was Plan C.

Was Sadiq a good Plan C? Probably not, Gerrard could maybe have played Middleton through the middle or taken a punt on Grezda.

But I think Gerrard seems to prefer Middleton as an impact player in the last 10 - 15 mins due to his pace and directness.  He might not have the same effect if he started and I'm not sure what the story is with Grezda.

Our squad is paper thin and the number of games and injuries may be starting to impact the team. Hopefully come January we can add a bit more depth which we don't really have at the moment. The future is still looking extremely bright as far as I'm concerned.

    Bit more Info on Vienna:

Flights: As I said before you should also check flights Edinburgh - Bratislava (Ryanair) and Edinburgh - Vienna (Jet2). That's what most of us use for the match in Glasgow. Depending on how long you stay or when you arrive Bratislava is also nice for a day or night (cheap beer, nice girls, small but nice city centre). Then either by bus from the airport in Bratislava to vienna or by train which costs a bit more. From vienna airport to vienna either you take the fast but expensive train called CAT (City Airport Train) 11€ one way or a normal train to vienna main train station 4.20€ one way.

Hotels: Honestly, check it for yourself. Vienna has all from cheap hostels to 5 star hotels. It's christmas time then so I would recommend looking for it soon though.

Eat and Drink: Same as for the hotels, Kebap or sausages on the street for 3€ up to 5* restaurants where you can spend as much money as you please ;) City centre is most expensive though. If you need some recommendations for good but lower budget restaurants just let me know. Pubs and bars are ok in the city centre. Bermuda Dreieck (bermuda triangle) near Schwedenplatz is the main bar/pub area in vienna but you find places all over the city.

As it's december there will be tons of christmas markets. I would recommend to avoid the main one in front of the town hall (it's good for a photo but way too overcrowded). There is a nice one at Schloß Schönbrunn which is one of the big sights in vienna anyway. But also lots of smaller ones all over the city.

Average prices: 4-5€ for 0.5 beer in a pub, 5-6€ pack of cigarettes (smoking is still allowed in some places), subway, bus, tram tickets: 24h 8€, 48h 14.10€, 72h 17.10€

Must sees: Depending on what you're interested in, the city centre obviously with the main cathedral (Stephansdom) and Kärntnertraße (expensive shopping street), Schönbrunn Palace as mentioned before with it's huge park (nicer in summer though), Belvedere Palace, the parliament, lots of churches, parks and museums all over the city, the opera, the danube river,... This I guess everyone needs to plan on their own.

If you're interested in football grounds: Ernst Happel Stadion is the biggest stadium in Austria (cap ~50k) but it's a shithole in my opinion. Our stadium is the second biggest in Vienna (national ~ 27k, international ~24k). It's called Allianz Stadion but fans call it Weststadion as we don't like our stadium to be named after an insurance company that much... It's a new stadium though and was opened in 2016. 3rd biggest ist from our city rivals Austria Wien (who we play tomorrow at home) which is also new and got opened this season. It's also named after an insurance company Generali Arena (cap ~15-17k). We have a few older grounds but I'm afraid there won't be any matches in december anymore.

There would be a lot more to say but I guess that's enough for now. If you have any questions just let me know.

Thanks for the information,  really appreciated and I'm really looking forward to visiting your city.

I'm travelling to Vienna via Bratislava.  Cheap flight from Glasgow to Dublin then on to Bratislava.

I'm then going to spend a night in Bratislava as it looks like an interesting place. Then I'm headed to Vienna for 2 nights.

I've a thing for football stadiums and my hotel is about 15 mins walk from Ernst Happel so I'll try and see that alongwith the Aviva Stadium in Dublin and Slovans stadium in Bratislava (the name escapes me)

When I return, I get 9 hours in London. So I plan on visiting West Hams & Tottenhams grounds also.

Out of curiosity,  I'm fairly certain there is almost a 24/7 service from Vienna to Bratislava Airport do you know if that is the case?

I have always just got one there.

Been to over 10 euro trips never had a problem including big games like barca.

Don't like the travel club so always arranged all our trips independently.

I'm pretty much the same for this. Flights direct were over £300. I've sorted flights and accommodation for £270 spending nights in Dublin, Bratislava and Vienna.  Which even if I can't get a ticket it'll be an adventure.

  8. Ditto matey,  all sorted travel wise. Been told easy enough to get tickets there.

Just need to wait and see :-).

I'm defo going either way, so if you do and fancy a beer whilst there give me a shout!

  9. Hi All, appreciate it is fairly far away. But does anyone have any experience of getting tickets for European away games?

Is there an easy way to get one via the club. Or am I better just trying to pick one up in Vienna.

Maybe not but that's football, and he wasn't the only one though was he?

He isn't the first player to react on the pitch and won't be the last, hopefully he keeps learning with us, but to say sell him or anyone who reacts to things is just stupid talk IMO.

Fair enough entitled to your opinion matey. He'll cost us though IMO.  If we were offered serious money for him. I'd take it and run.

Like everything else negative I think about Rangers though. I genuinely hope I'm proved wrong.  ?

2 red cards so sell him, he is frustrating when he reacts but hopefully he will learn.

I can't believe our fans want to sell him!

It's not just the cards. It's the sitters he misses also.  When it seems harder to do just that.

If someone wants to gives us 8 to 10 million.  I think take it and happily so.
