  1. Really depressing to hear and read of so many Bears now jumping ship.

I thought and truly believed I belonged to a huge, faithful family, loyal and true and our Britishness was sacrosanct and was at our core. I stupidly assumed it to be non-negotiable and certainly not for sale!

A real eye opener for sure and genuinely heartbreaking!

As someone that has never felt British, can someone please explain to me what defines these buzzwords "Loyal", "Britishness"?? I'm not fishing, I have just never understood this in relation to my football team, Rangers. Most Gers fans I've known that promote this ideal always seem to me to be reacting to the rise of the Celtic's Irish identity over the years. Just saying....

  2. Been away from media/technology for a while and return to find out that Kenny Miller has re-signed for Rangers (again), we have a new strip that incorporates the Union Jack and our sponsor is a gambling firm. How fecking depressing....

  3. Around 6k a week is probably what Miller considers to be "nominal". It's a gimpy signing, regardless of the wage. A 2 year contract is even more unbelievable. The thought of Miller leading the line upon our return to the spl is frightening.

The idea of McCoist managing us in the top flight is even more scarey....

  4. I took part in a Football Aid charity match at Ibrox a few years ago now. Sandy Jardine was the home team's 'manager' for the occasion. That basically meant him giving up an evening of his time to babysit a group of grown men indulging in a childhood fantasy; namely playing for Rangers at Ibrox.

Jardine welcomed us all as we assembled in the Main Stand, he then took the 'home' side to the home dressing room, pointing out places and people along the way. We didn't need a 'manager', it was a fun match and none of us knew each other far less had played together. But Jardine decided to give us a teamtalk, he spoke about the great players who'd been in the dressing room before us, of the noise from the street outside and the stands above us.

I'll always remember him telling us that Ibrox is a big pitch and to let the ball do the work as we'd tire ourselves out very quickly otherwise and that no matter what we should enjoy ourselves. We did.

He couldn't have done more for a group of men he'd never met before and would probably never meet again. He understood that we'd all paid money to do something he'd once been paid to do yet he showed us humility and was generous with his time. There were others there too, Bobby Russell, Alan McLaren and Mark Hateley, but Jardine was in charge and it was him that set the tone for the evening.

It was my only time meeting him and he left a great impression.

    Sad news indeed.

    Nice story Amms.

  5. Just heard the news about Sandy Jardine as I've been in a bit of a no news/technology vacuum due to my son being a bit sick. Gutted to say the least. 65 is too young for anyone to leave this earth.

RIP Sandy. Heavens football XI has it's right back now

  6. Is there even a discussion any more? He has to go. We were given a chance to reboot our clubs footballing ethos from top to bottom but instead we got an archaic rehash of Walters outdated philosophy. It's horrible and shows no vision.

I'm going to watch Liverpool today and that will be a greater reminder of where we are NOT going as a club. Rodgers has a tangible and very laudible ethos that gives fans hope of what the club is trying to acheive. I don't have a clue what our style is apart from limited hoofball route 1 pish.

A guy in the pub last week was shouting about Allys inability to change a game. His mate replied "Change a game? He doesn't know how to f**kin start a game"

    Sums it all up really

  7. Rangers run like a joke just now. Dave King going to invest 30 million? To win the championship?????? What will McCoist waste it on?? Another Moshni

    I wouldn't give Ally 30p never mind 30 million

  8. Poll from FF.

View Poll Results: Should Ally McCoist and his backroom staff stand down from Rangers?

Yes, Ally must go and take his whole backroom including Durrant with him 1,268 88.24%

Yes, but Ally McCoist only, the rest can stay 19 1.32%

No, Ally should be given more time 130 9.05%

Other - Please post your opinion in the thread 20 1.39%

What's the point of having an option were Ally goes but the other two stay? Seems a bit daft?

  9. F*ck sake, Celtic were pumping the Barcelonas, Milans, Juventus, Liverpools, Man Utds, all the big boys at home in the last 10 - 12 years. Eindhoven, Valencia, Sevilla, Lisbon are not even in the same bracket as those names, those are teams we should be competing with and even being favourites against. Average European names. We haven't played many half-decent European sides in a long time, a very long time. There is no way under any circumstances anyone can say our European record is anything but diabolical.

This. With 100 foot cow bells on

  10. We have won 1 out of our last 25 matches in Europe. That includes 8 ties against Maribor, Malmo, Unirea and Kaunas. I'd say if anything we consistently punch far below our weight in Europe, bar 07/08 and 92/93.

This. With fifty foot friggin cow bells on

  11. Once the current management team are shown the door, advertise the position and find out.

I would expect there to be huge interest in taking on the Rangers job.

Can we add a caveat? Anyone attached in any way to the "9 in a Row old boys club" need not apply.... Let's show some friggin vision for once

  12. BD heading for his second sacking at Forest. Once? ...ok but twice?

Being a Rangers supporter is not a prerequisite for being a good manager.

Saying that...playing for Rangers should never be a prerequisite for being a Rangers manager. That's what we have at the mo...

In BD's defense...is the demise of Forest recently not down to them having 6/7 key players injured?
