  1. I hear you and agree TBH. The thing is, these muppets take a punt on so many stories, they are bound to get a few right.
  2. Is that aimed at moi? I didn't buy the paper mate but I did check their website though to see what the "story" was.
  3. Agree with regards Paul but in the US Political terms the guy cannot be described as a right winger. With regards to Miller coming here to make a profit...I have no truck with that TBH as the only way we/he can make a decent profit IMO will be by cutting our cloth according off the park whilst at the same time bringing success on the park (CL entry...?)
  4. I thought Ally was heading out there? Or was that sheite in the DR as well?
  5. On top of that, in their desire to besmirch the guys name, they use Ron Paul as an example of Millers right wing tendancies. Ron Paul is never a right winger in a million years
  6. On the way to work I noticed a DR sandwich board headline stating "McCoist in Miller takevoer riddle". I checked their horrible little site to see what dross they were plugging and couldn't find anything. Do anyone know what this "riddle" is? As a PS, I did chuckle at one of the DR's stories regarding Miller. Apparently he's a Republican and has funded their party in the past. Considering that about 50% of their population is probably Republican, where is the story here? They also tried to attach him to right wing ex- President George W. Bush. Is that the same Bush that was brown nosed by the Labour party, the DR's favoured political party...? They are also trying to attach him to "Right Winger" Ron Paul? Do they know anyhting about Paul? He is far from being a right winger for goodness sakes
  7. Good post Frankie. "In conclusion, I haven't met one Rangers fan who wants our club to hide from its obligations. Yes, the actions of Sir David Murray and Craig Whyte are obvious reasons for the choices our club made and it can be debated if they are solely to blame. Indeed, we should not hide from such debate but welcome it and use the findings to ensure the same mistakes are not made in our club's name again." This quote for me relates to something that has been bothering me over the last few weeks. I've been somewhat disturbed by how the media have been keen to blame the Rangers fans and make them somehow equally implicit in the downfall of Rangers. What the feek were we meant to do when this was all going on? Were we meant to ask for weekly accounts published in match programmes? What outlet/avenues did we as fans have to voice any concerns we would have had? IMO Hugh Keevins is the prime accuser with this critical view of the Rangers fans and I just don't buy the whole "we are all guilty by association" thing. Most fans I know are willing to accept punishments coming our way if we are found guilty of wrong doing.
  8. As much as I don't agree with your tongue in cheek prediction... I have to agree with this "old co/new co" thing. If the press hadn't drummed this phrase home every single day since this sheite started most people would have been relatively oblivious to the rejigging of the business arm of Rangers. For most fans Rangers are not a business, they are a football team and that's were their history and emotional attachment comes from and always will.
  9. Agreed. I thought he spoke a lot of sense TBH. Especially with regards to the whole "new co" thing. As the speaker says, I feel that too much "emotional" emphasis has been attached to this. For me the financial "new co" apsect means little me as Rangers are about the team, the players, the stadium, the fans and the history. You will never take that away IMO.
  10. Are there any other links? It doesn't appear to be working?? Ignore the above guys. It worked eventually....
  11. In the next 24hrs? Is that hours measured in another Universe? It was 24hrs about 5 weeks ago
  12. Are Leeds not the better example in terms of a direct comparison with what we are going through? They have retained their history and their name.
  13. I have to be frank guys. Neither option is appealing and months of this shit have made me lose my faith in my club, my team and football in general. Is anyone close to breaking point on this?
  14. In response to the brilliant "We won't walk away" that was posted earlier, this is still my all-time favourite Rangers video by a mile and always brings a tear to this Govan boys eyes... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmZJKFxHfLs
  15. I must be. I was trying to find a pic of their new strip and their site seemed the quickest place to find it. I'm away to wash my hands, my mouse and clear my laptop history
  16. I was just reading a few bits about the positioning of the Tennants sponsor and discovered that Celtic have also used this smaller logo on their new strip. I checked it out on their website (sorry...) but I had to chuckle at a few things on their front page. They have this big push for their "Thai Tims" project with loads of Thai kids posing outside Parkhead. What do you think these kids are wearing? Celtic strips? Celtic t-shirts? No...everyone has a green, white and orange scarf on. ALA colours of the Irish national flag. Are Celtic now officially Ireland FC? I also chuckled at the name of this project... Thai Tims? As far as I was aware, is the name "Tim" not derived from the name Tim Malloys, an catholic gang from the East End of the city back in the day... Imagine that was us? My third chuckle came when I noticed that their new simplified strip with black socks is a tribute to their 125th Anniversary.... considering they didn't start wearing Hoops until 1903, I'm somewhat confused.
  17. It's great to see the keepers jersey going back to the simple yellow jersey. I just hope we are calling McGregor "The Prince of the Yellow Jersey" next season
  18. Fair doos Frankie. I just think our distintive red and black socks make our strip unique. Without them I feel we're just another team that wears blue with white shorts
  19. Good to see the stars go but where are the red and black socks? I know this a tribute to the 72 team (they wore red and white back then for some reason?) but our socks should ALWAYS be red and black. Especially after this season. Rangers red and black socks are part of our heritage. It's not just a cosmetic thing, it's intentional. As a Govan boy and ex-pupil of Govan High (c'mon the Red and Blacks!) I'm sorry to see our famous socks getting the boot
  20. David Edgar! Cheers Frankie. I was wondering why he was AWOL after never being off the TV
  21. Can anyone help and please remind of the guy that used to the be the voice of the Rangers Supporters Assembly (or maybe it was another group??). He was always on TV a few years back and had many critics. N oit seen him in a while
  22. Why Queens Park? Surely starting the march from Ibrox to Hampden would be more symbolic? Anyway, I'll be there
  23. I think the biggest worry about dropping to the 3rd Division is will we have good enough squad of players to climb through the leagues? These leagues will be a dogfight and there will be no guarantees and I think it could be harder than people think because we will essentially be playing with a young squad for 3/4 years.
