  1. “There is a tremendous romance attached to the club, we put smiles on people’s faces all over the world, we’ve got a tremendous attitude to life, humour and social responsibility." Do these guys actually listen to themselves? Pass me the sick bucket. Social responsibilty? I'd love to hear this point expanded.
  2. As a person I am generally not paranoid but I found the Daily Records take on Fernando Ricksens Twitter abuse somewhat perplexing. Firstly, the reporter states the abuse was instigated by a "so called" Celtic fan. When I read this I couldn't help but think, would another "fan" of a particular club ie. Rangers, be afforded the same moniker. My bet would be on that particular version not labelling that fan as a "so called" Rangers fan... Secondly, I found it even more perplexing that the said reporter is keen for us to hear what real Celtic fans think of this lowlife turd. Very admirable indeed but once again I doubt if this was a story about an abusive Rangers fan, you would get a normal Gers fans POV to balance the story ie.providing a positive ending to round off the piece. Maybe I'm just paranoid after all.... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/fans-condemn-twitter-troll-who-2677855
  3. I dont care what anyone says. Ally is not the man to take us forward. He'll get us in the SPL but I fear he will be found wanting. The fact that he's already talking about needing more millions is worrying indeed. We should have been laying down the foundations for our return to the top flight last year.
  4. Does anyone think that Longmuir would be a good shout for position on the new board?
  5. Good points mate. Just had enough of this. It's bad enough that our club is a shambles from top to bottom but this keek is the poison cherry on a very manky cake
  6. I hear you Andy but this daily debate about singing songs about murderers, gun runners, et all. makes me want to bang my head against a brick wall. I fear it's a fight we cannot win tbh
  7. Jeso... this thread is quickly putting me off football all together. Is it too much to ask for 11 guys in your colours trying to kick a ball into a flipping net?UVF, Boys from the Old Brigade, Orange bar stewards, Bobby Sands mean feck all to me and anyone I class a friend tbh. Now we're being told who to vote for based on this issue? Can someone wake me up when we get to the 21st Century.... friggin had it with all this pish
  8. "Society has moved on yet we, as it often appears, are lagging behind. Why is that, why aren't we more switched on, more involved and more in touch? That's what this debate should be about, not whether a section of our support can sing about murder gangs simply because they think others are allowed to sing about different murder gangs." This sums it up perfectly for me. I couldn't give a toss about what "they" sing. It doesn't change the fact that a large section of our fans seem determined to gamble with the clubs image to try and re-inforce some "natural order" regarding songs about murder, guns et all. C'mon to feek. This is 2013! Bobby Sands, UVF songs at a football match? If these guys genuinely feel that these songs have a political purpose, please retain them for a "political" platform.
  9. What? Instead of blaming some fake all seeing big brother, can we not just stop singing these idiotic songs?
  10. Agreed. The reasoning behind the WW1 commemoration is flimsy to say the least. This stuff is utterly depressing tbh. Instead of talking about players, formations, the future ie. football... we have to deal with an off the field shambles that is a daily sopa opera coupled with this nonsense about our right to sing songs about Bobby Sands et all. Tell me as a Rangers football, why should I give a flying monkeys about Bobby friggin Sands? Utterly baffled, Glasgow
  11. Am I the only the only one that wouldn't shed a tear to see these songs dissapear? UVF, popes and beads, Bobby Sands...? FFS this stuff leaves me cold. Surely we have enough stuff to sing about (players, teams, managers, goals) than worry about feeling hard done by that we can't sing songs about this nonsense? The content above truly has me scratching my head tbh.
  12. I personally don't want Ashley any more involved than his current shareholding tbh
  13. Good piece Dart but I cant help feeling this little scrote is getting too much attention. I have given up on the BBC being impartial about Rangers and dont give a monkeys what Spence and Co think tbh.
  14. I decided to take a new take on the club/company "debate" with a few Celtic supporting mates who wouldn't let give up on the new club guff. I proposed a hypothetical scenario where Celtic had suffered the same mismanagement as Rangers and and as fans the had to defend the daily accusations of "new club" from rival fans, media et all. I expanded further by stating I believed they would consider Celtic "the club" as an untouchable entity that transcends company ownership etc. They, as fans, wouldnt stop supporting "Celtic". If a team in green and white hoops ran out at Parkhead they would support them regardless of the recent history of the company. Surely? One reply went along the lines of "ah but that's different as Celtic are more than just a club..." Case closed your honour
  15. FFS... as soon as we are rid of all traces of these shadey friggin vultures the better. Genuinely sick of all this shiete
  16. I like the idea of a manager who knows how to work with kids and can spot a players get the best out of their talents. (Billy Reid, Derek Adams for example). I keep reading on here and other boards that McCoist should go because of results like sundays. For me that misses the point and dismisses the bigger picture. One-off results shouldn't be the reason that Ally should go. IMO he should go because our perfomances have been consistently awful. Ally should go because he has shown an overall lack of vision and tactical awareness and has not been able to get the best out of players (in some cases the exact opposite). I don't care if he didn't have a pre-season last year. That shouldn't be a reason for the utter lack of development in our footballing style and ethos. Can anyone honestly describe what our style is? Seems to me it's a case of...assemble a squad of highly priced players with SPL experience and just expect them to win over the part timers. That is staggering one dimensional attitude to what lies ahead of us over the next few years.
  17. The more I look at those shorts the more I think they are truly horrible.
  18. Calm down for goodness sake. I was merely stating my opinion. Is that not allowed these days? I don't like the strip and I've stated the reasons why. Or would you prefer me to lie and say I like it just for the sake of liking it?
  19. Sorry but these kits are awful. What do you expect when you line up with Puma? They don't look like kits. More like training gear IMO. The shorts are an utter embarrasment IMO and there is too much red in the home strip. Our home strip should always be blue with white detailing. And my final moan is the marketing.... FFS Rangers at least make an effort. With all due respect to Steven Smith and Ricky Foster but why start a new kit launch by using 2 journeyman signings who are effectively going to be squad players? Why not use Daly or Clark? Poor, poor, poor....but I've come to expect that from my club these days tbh
  20. C'mon guys. Stay on topic please. Getting back to the strip theme....I did notice that Huddersfields new Puma strip had an embroidered badge and Puma logo. That's on the replicas to
  21. One thing I would say is that the blue is the perefct shade/tone IMO. I hated it when we had that darker royal blue strip in the 90's (Gazza Adidas era)
