Utter ballacks I'm afraid. Ally's tenure shouldn't be just judged in who he brings in during previous/ potential transfer windows. That's just cheque book management in my eyes and doesn't show any signs of a long term vision or development. Regardless of circumstances we have still have a squad of 20 odd well paid players of varying ages and experiences that have shown little sign of improvement, cohesive shape or tactical awareness, recognisable style of play or ability to learn from mistakes. That is the managers fault IMO. You could give Ally all the friggin money and transfer windows you want but if you don't have any tangible structure or plan in the first place, we will still be making the same mistakes in a year or 2

Ally shouldn't need to be told anything tbh. He's been a manager for 2 years now and before that and assistant for 5/6 years. If he can't assess our squad and see that we don't need any more over 28/29year old SPL wage suckers, then it's just another nail in his managerial coffin IMO

Agreed. I remember a few years back when Wattie was in charge, there was speculation about Adam La Fondre at Rotheram (I think) . He was going to cost 300,00 and had a scored a ton of goals in the lower leagues. He ended up at Reading and despite being a sub for much of the time he has scored goals in the EPL. Anyway...these guys are out of our league at the mo but IMO there are gems out there. It just needs a manager/scout with an eye for a player. What do we have? A scouting system that involves reading Rangers annuals from yesteryear. Stop looking back FFS. It's short termism at it's very worst and we seem to be the Kings of that particular kingdom....

Kenny Miller? If this is in any way true, you have to say that if we had any doubts about Ally's long term "vision" and general management then this only amplifies them. Utterly depressing
