  1. Great attitude to have. I'm always in awe of how people respond to life threatening illnesses.
  2. Is this actually the case or is Warbs building a team of future stars by buying young? I haven't heard at any point that Rangers have refused him funds? Normally that's the first thing you would hear as it would be a giant scandal. I would also question as to whether you would want to spend millions in the championship, or buy & build a team at this level, that by next year is proficient and needs little added to take on the SPFL
  3. I'm sure the fine upstanding journalists would just inform Motherwell that would be whataboutery at it's finest and that right minded fans would believe the club should be punished.
  4. I think it potentially IS interesting she is seen with Ally, it does lend me to believe there is more to come & like another poster said, he can't talk just now. I'm hoping this means the investigation really is ramping up then & going somewhere. I'm glad she stood up and reported Green & Co to SFO!
  5. But did they outbid us? Some say no official bid appeared & Rotherham Manager wasn't too chuffed. If the amount did leak, it's not come from them. It would be in Hibs interest to leak the Rotherham offer value (if it actually existed) in an attempt to strong arm US in to paying over the odds for a player we can sign for free in a few months.
  6. I can't go tomorrow night, pretty gutted as I reckon Ibrox will be rocking. Hope everyone has a good night and the crowd can show the players the kind of Ibrox welcome & support they get.
  7. His silence at times on the behaviour of other fans though is deafening. I agree he really does seem to think we should model citizens at all times, regardless of what is thrown at us. I do get frustrated because if we try to complain, we get accused of whataboutery. The green side of Glasgow are constantly praised for apparently removing all forms of sectarianism, racism, sexism and any other ism you wish. But there is no acknowledgment of Rangers' progress. I suppose it is hard to really claim bias when you are biased yourself, but there are certainly patterns. It always seems to be more rife when Rangers do better as well.
  8. Every time he speaks I get more enthused. I like that he explains his thoughts with the loans, it does make sense. Also sounds like we're happy to bring in young loan signings to get them games too - if they are good enough. Maybe the thought being clubs down south loan out their young future stars? Or I'm talking out of my arse haha
  9. I get the feeling Davie Weir may have helped with that as well. Not that I think Warburton makes career choices on Davie's advice, but the thought of getting us in to Champs League position must have been seriously tempting too. Something he couldn't achieve where he was.
  10. Disapointed no one managed to slip in a monty python reference. For me, the small things are pleasing. Warbs wearing a suit. I'm sure he would anyway - he seems that kind of guy, but I have to say it's nice to see the manager looking class again. Ally - as much as I've always liked him - just seemed to get scruffier & scruffier. The new training regime, Warbs actually attending reserve games, his work ethic. I just feel like we're finding our way back to being Rangers again. We've been missing these basic standards we all took pride in. With time & continued effort, Warbs could well prove to be our saviour or whatever label you want to assign. For now, I'm happy we're playing a more attacking & passing style
  11. I was totally unaware of this (which I appreciate your point). I see others spinning it to suit their agenda. I swear that some can't sleep due to their hatred of us and must sit in the wee hours ranting & railing against us.
  12. The more I hear from him, the more encouraged I am. I like he is talking champions league, that is the goal. I swear, what a party we'll have when we finally here the Champions League song at Ibrox again.
  13. Tickets booked this morning! Feels so good to be going back to ibrox. Can't wait!
  14. I've just sent my mother in law an email as she is taking our son away to Ayr for a few nights starting on sunday. If her train is early enough we might actually make it to a game!
  15. Yes it is a part but so is the decimation of grass roots football. Remind the school pitches being sold off? The 'No ball games' signs that pop up everywhere. Booze can be blamed for a lot of things but it is not the sole factor of our lack of qualification. Scottish football went through a period where the top teams only brought in foreign players, meaning home grown players got pushed out. England may not be winning matches but neither do Portugal and they have Ronaldo. Even Brazil, a country that provides some of the greatest ever footballers had a mare last year. These things are cyclical, brought on by several environmental factors and not just a couple of pints on a night out. I mean our own youth academy hasn't exactly had the investment it deserves and is only just getting back on track now. Add to that, with us being down in the leagues and our scottish players not getting the opportunity to play for Scotland I think we can see it is more than drinking & eat a Macdonalds
  16. Part of building a new team is about team bonding is it not? I see no harm in a few drinks, provided it doesn't descend in to idiocy. The team need to gel and celebrating an emphatic win as your first competitive match is worth doing. None of them look smashed and so far have heard nothing about the night going out of hand or in to the wee hours.
  17. Thanks Frankie. I never got a chance to see the game last night so this was a useful summary
  18. I feel like this is a dream! We've waited so long for this! Can it really happen though? Have we rooted out enough of the squad who like the holiday camp? I really feel like this is in a new beginning, and I'm pleased that we would potentially sign a new captain. I really like Lee Wallace, but we need something new for a while, for a boost. He should be second in command, but I don't think captaincy suits him at the moment.
  19. So, will we definitely hear today? Or did you all hear & I missed it?
  20. Also, considering the basis of the court action is leaking information, I would suggest it's not prudent to be seen talking to the press at all times
  21. Do you read anything? Manager first, then the budget. King has already said ideally players could be funded by season tickets - i.e the fans know their money is being used to improve the squad - but if that doesn't cover it all, he and the TB's will put money in too. There is also the share issue. Do you think people like King get their money by just throwing it at something they love? If they stick millions in now, how much of that goes in Ashley's pockets? Or towards any number of shitty contracts? We may be a football club but we are also a business. It's about time we are run like one and chucking money is not the only solution.
  22. So SD want to stop RFC ever talking about the percentage RFC gets from retail.
  23. I'm genuinely pissed off with this, and some people should take a good look at themselves. If it shows nothing else, it shows the media bias and agenda. Britney must be spewing out all the glee from it. The only upside is Chris can come back and take on the likes of Britney & English.
  24. I can't believe you cannot see the difference here? If you choose to follow a religion then you should expect there will be criticisms from those who follow other religions. That's what most religions do. Try to say they are the One True Religion, their God is the real God, all others are wrong. If you are going to take that stance, then expect some criticism. I don't believe religion should be afforded special privileges. If YOU want to follow a religion, then that is fine, but your right to follow that religion should not impact my right to a) not follow that religion, b) not abide by the rules of that religion or c) comment on that religion should I wish to. Further, Chris did not make comment on Muslims, he did not insult Muslims, he did not say anything derogatory about Islam. He tweeted at someone who uses the law to practice his right to preach hate. Chris broke no laws. If Police Scotland decide he did, they are idiots and it would mark a huge shift in law change. Funnily enough, a change in the law that would work for the likes of Choudary.
