  1. I genuinely cannot believe they didn't get a home game in the first match it's hilarious. Also, Dec 31st OF?
  2. Last I checked, accused doesn't mean found guilty? I'd like to see the percentages/numbers of convictions. Also more detail and what the charge relates to. We all know the OBFA is too open to criminalising fans
  3. Honestly they don't massively register on my radar. They are fans so obsessed with us, they've only just noticed their own team issues. Let's do our talking on the park.
  4. But why would you? You can't put a serious statement out about a serial fantasist. And 'allegations'? I think sometimes we feel online that people like Phil make a bigger impact than they actually do. Very few people swallow his guff. I just wouldn't entertain it. Unless I'm told otherwise by Rangers or Warbs just doesn't turn up again, I don't believe a word of it, and neither should anyone else.
  5. This is the guy who writes the celtic blog for the DR, but he has written probably the best description I've seen of this & how Phil works:
  6. Phil seems to think he got hold of Warbs number and called him. He claims warbs called him back. There is a teeny chance that happened since Warbs didn't know who he was calling but I seriously doubt it. The rest of the blog just goes on a tangent because there is really nothing else to say - except of course that Phil told him all about his journalistic credentials. Whatever the case, Rangers should NOT be responding to Phil because that legitimises him and as far as I'm aware writing fan fiction on the internet is not a crime. If anyone believes that even if Warbs DID call Phil that he gave him anything other than a polite go away, you really aren't giving Warburton his due. Everyone could see how angry he was at the Semi Final scenes. It was clear as day, but he was right to stay away from the press because they would hound him.
  7. James Doleman ‏@jamesdoleman 41s42 seconds ago Latest from High Court. Craig Whyte is now the only accussed on the indictment. Turned witnesses?
  8. Actually that tweet might be bait, because charges were dropped previously weren't they against Grier & Whithey?
  9. James Doleman ‏@jamesdoleman 2m2 minutes ago Charges dropped against a number of defendants at the Rangers Fraud case. More to follow
  10. Intriguing then. I wonder if it's a plea deal. What does a guilty verdict mean for us, other than vindication on a lot of things?
  11. Excellent to see someone doing the analysis on what we all felt. When others talk of the 'contrition' we should feel for being victims of fraud, this should be our only response. We've packed out grounds across the country and probably done more for the smaller clubs in three years than the self serving SFA/SPFL have done in a while.
  12. Yes the author of the piece has history with using hun, something she will claim is fine because she says she is married to a rangers supporter. The language of the piece is clear - particularly the Northern Ireland reference. I wonder who the anonymous police source is who came up with that belter? Anyway, twitter as usual abounds with pictures showing a different story. Disgraceful of the record to print it.
  13. So, now we use the whole family history when talking about one person? Has he done some awful things? Yes. Has he completed his sentences? Yes. Has he proven himself capable of behaving? I would say so. People are allowed to change. The justice system is supposed to be about rehabilitation. It's not all about punishment, but a lot of people forget that. Editing to add, if you look at the his brothers conviction, Joey Barton appeared to do an awful lot to get him to admit his part in, and help the police. Also, people can be good and bad. We are not all one or the other. Maybe that's the bleeding heart lib in me that believes the best in people, I don't know, but I won't write him off based on the actions of a family member.
  14. No, he just had form for battering his missus, but as long as he hadn't been to jail or assaulted a fellow player is that OK? We also signed Gazza whilst this behaviour was ongoing. As far as I'm aware Barton has fulfilled his sentence & altered his ways.
  15. I am pretty excited about this signing. It's a big name signing of a player who had an excellent season last year. He seems to have really calmed down in recent years and the fact he is going to be a pundit for the Euro's should stand as testament to that. Remember, we are the club who signed Gazza for goodness sake. Hardly a guy with a spotless reputation but a talent nonetheless - before some of you get up in arms, I'm not suggesting Joey = Gazza talent wise, but making the point it can work well. A lot is dependent on the right manager, the right coaching team and the right players around you. I think Barton could be a massive success.
  16. sky saying it is now complete and he'll be in front of media for 3.30pm
  17. I think some just forget it's not just their opposites in the stands, there are children, disabled supporters etc. People who are not as able to defend themselves. More so at a cup final for example.
  18. I believe Shiels' contract is until end of June so might be why it's not mentioned today.
  19. Probably a combination of things. Law has scored some important goals for us (could argue Clark too). Templeton just feels like such a waste.
  20. I think we can all agree it's for the best, Templeton in particular since he's been out of action for so long.

  22. Sky Sports News HQ ‏@SkySportsNewsHQ 5m5 minutes ago BREAKING: Sky Sources: Joey Barton travelling to Glasgow for @RangersFC medical. #SSNHQ
  23. My 8 year old is just at the point he wants to come to games. We've never pushed him to support Rangers - he chose Man U, god help us! But, he wants to come with us to see the Gers. The weekend shook him a bit and we weren't even there! He wanted to know if going to a game is safe & why do the other fans hate us so much. We've sorted him out, and he's fine now but I do honestly wish grown fucking men would get a grip sometimes. In one of the videos you can see a guy taunting Rangers fans whilst his wee boy is crying beside him cause he is terrified. All those guys who feel they had a great time would do well to remember all the kids they scared the shit out of, in their desperation to get it up the rangers. Rant over sorry, it just winds me up.
