  1. if it was my decision I would have got rid of Eck at the turn of the year, and got PLG in early. Then that would have given him end of last season to find his feet and the whole of this season to make a difference.

Now if he has not found his feet by end of this season what do we do? give him next season too? Then this time next year if he is still making an arse of things do we get rid? I cant see it. I think if things stay the same, he will be here for 2 seasons as least.

  2. am I the only jumpty that missed half the game cause of the BBC? I wasnt sure if it was on council telly or sky so checked a paper in the morning. Quick scan told me bbc1 at 7.30. Got home, pottered about, watched Hollyoaks and Emmerdale, turned over to watch what I though was kick off only to realise had missed half the bloody game!!!

  3. anyone else getting really sick of all this stuff? Nothing against you lot, you just write what you see and hear which is good but all this conspiracy stuff and rumours and who said/ didnt say what is all starting to grate a bit.

am starting to not care? and apathy is probably whats got us where we are in the first place

  4. PS there seems to be some people on here who take everything so personally. It's like some show on telly where they talk about Americans being the fattest nation on Earth and some stupid, skinny yank in the audience stands up and says, "That's not true, I'm American and I'm not fat!"

    Think about it...

perhaps you should have reworded some of your thoughts. Then I wouldnt take it personally.

When you say smokers kill us, smokers are dirty and smelly, smokers burn your skin and clothes you should have said 'SOME smokers'.

My point about all Rangers fans being bigots was obviously totally lost on you.

Still think your are totally small minded which Bmck very eloquently pointed out

  5. Why should smokers get a room when all they'll do is drop ash and but-ends on the floor while browning the paint with their smoke? There is also the question of who has to clean it and whether that will affect their health.

If smokers were generally clean and considerate of others, maybe they would get more of a break.

Smokers kill us with their smoke, make our eyes water and smart, make us cough and feel ill, make us and our clothes smelly, burn our skin and clothes, dirty our clothes with their ash, ruin our meals with their smoke, make where-ever they go dirty, smelly and covered in ash and burns, and then they want sympathy when we try to protect people from the above?

    Hmm...

Maybe they need a room but it's hard to care. There would have to be many of them which costs quite a bit of money just for the space and then you have to consider the ventilation, the cleaning and the redecoration.

There's also the point that if you can't do without a cigarette for a couple of hours then you have an addiction - that means you are not smoking for pleasure, you are ruled by your cravings. Maybe then it's time to ask yourself if it's time to get back in control of your own body. You would advise an alcoholic to go to AA so why not do something similar for yourself. It would also not only benefit your health and longevity but would save you and your family a fortune.

It's funny how people feel so staunchly that it's their right to be addicted to something that does nothing but harm...

Jesus christ. Not quite sure where to start with that. Firstly if you were here I would punch you in the face. So many insulting comments on there and you are tarring all smokers with the one brush and that is wrong. Its like saying all Rangers fans are bigots. Which of course we are not.

I make wherever I go dirty and smelly do I? I burn peoples clothes and skin? That a fact is it?

And what the hell you on about the AA for!!! You think everyone who smokes doesnt want to give up, or hasnt tried!

in fact your obviously so narrow and small minded am not even going to continue with an answer.

  6.

everyone has human rights - even smokers!!

    :) :)

will i start on the exhaust fumes now???

Spot on there. Being made to stand outside in the freezing cold isnt very nice. And it makes the pavement look untidy to be honest. I am not too bad cause I can go a long time without a cig cause have stopped so often but some folk cant. I feel sorry for all the old boys, the know the ones whose highlight of their day was to head down the legion for a pint and a smoke with their dog at heel. Now they cant! Their relaxing pint and chat has been ruined. Something they have done for years and years has been taken away from them. And they did fight for our freedom, now we taken theirs away!

  7. I smoke. Have stopped and started many times.

I think there should be somewhere for folk to smoke. I mean most people get there 15mins early, then the 105 mins. Thats near 2 hours by time you get out. Loads of smokers cant last that long. and technically its been frowned upon smoking at the game for years, but we all still did it.

would have to be a few areas, and large areas for that matter for thousands of folk piling into them at half time!

  8. I can understand it around 87 mins if the game is over as a contest and someone has a distant journey. After the Molde game recently me and my mate stayed until the final whistle and it took us over an over to get onto the motorway alone from the albion car pk then we had a 3 hr journey north.

ditto with that one. When I get the supporters bus down are told to be there sharp cause bus wants to leave asap. Most of the guys leave before full time and you never want to be the last one on the bus! Having to run through the crowds to get back to the bus is a nightmare. Its all about getting out of there before the traffic gets too bad.

If am staying in Glasgow somewhere then I do leave a few mins early aswell. Mostly because I just cant be arsed standing in a bloody massive queue, usually in the rain for hours on end when I can just miss the last few minutes of the game and cut my waiting time down drastically! Shoot me if you want.

Only when am down with my Dad or somebody else in a car then stay for the full 90mins, take the time leaving the stadium and getting to the car park. Sit and have a smoke then leave. Just wait a bit for the worst of the traffic to be gone.

  9. Well I know for a fact that one of his companies has lost a massive contract to a major supplier. I know this cause I had to transfer the work from his company to mine!

Obviously with all the pies he has fingers in this may not be a big thing, but its not the only business he is in charge of that is failing.......

  10. I think in a nutshell its cause we expected things to stay as bad as they were for a while, then steadily get better. I dont think anybody expected things to get so much worse.........and even more bizarre team selections and formations that we were used to last season!

  11. PLG will never walk. His start with Leon was as bad as this, if not worst wasnt it? 9 consecutive losses or something? If he stuck it out then, he will stick it out now.

Murray would never let him just walk. What would it look like if a manager such as PLG (that so many other teams were after) walks after only a few months and ineffect 'gives up' on Rangers?

  12. Dont mention the R word!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARRRRRGH!

no I cant see that happening, really really cant. As for bottom 6 cant see that happening either to be honest. We are crap this season, but I wouldnt say there was 6 other teams in the SPL that are consistantly better than us and will continue to be till the end of the season. So maybe finish in 5th then! haha.

No joking I hate to say it but I think we be lucky to get 3rd again

  13. Fine post Steve with good points.

Everyone was knee-jerk reacting last nite, and i still think everyone backs the manager. I do!

Agree with that although it's hard to keep perspective when things are so poor. I am having doubts now whether PLG has got the makings of a real Rangers manager although I'd be delighted to be proved wrong.

agree with all that but its hard not to when all you feel is blind panic!

  14. clapping will keep the handies warm if nothing else. Although may be a bit sore and sting a bit after an hour? And if half the ground are wearing gloves (as they should be in this weather) then there aint gonna be a lot of noise.

Just another way of looking at it...........

Silence is the way it should be. And nobody does it better than us.
