Contacted rangers first to give them the proxy vote on my dad's shares and haven't heard a thing back. Poor poor show.
Disappointing to hear that, but they've been very responsive in any dealings I've had with them.
Did you use the contact form on the website?

Is that the definitive exact number the Trust have announced?
Wait till I speak to plgsarmy for giving me inaccurate info!
Yup. https://twitter.com/rangersfctrust/status/553250809237229568

RF tweeted this morning that they'd bought another 10k+ shares.

Good news from the RST!
That should put their total up to 826,000 shares which is about 1.01% of the company.
826,029.
Every little helps!

Sides were picked some time ago. Personality clashes no doubt had some bearing on this in a few, noisy cases. Others were so anti-David Murray that anything involving Paul Murray or Dave King was bad by definition and anything that didn't was good. Then hubris kicks in and they've ended trying to justify the unjustifiable. I certainly wouldn't say they've all been bought: they're mostly committed, die hard bears. However, they're also blindingly obviously wrong. I'd also add that the behaviour of a handful of them has been pretty despicable but that's probably just a reflection of the world of social media which I regularly struggle with.
Spot on mate. Absolutely spot on.

terrible offer compared to kings.
that said i like the sound of this guy and hope he can invest alongside the bears.
Agree. No surprise it's been rejected - no way that it would get the necessary 75% support in its current form.

... more from FF.
I'd take that in the circumstances.

The Wilson story states that the Sarver bid was made "just after Christmas", but we don't know exactly when that was yet.
Not that I'd like to give Somers any credit (or even benefit of the doubt), but for all we know, Sarver might actually have been the recipient of one of the Somers emails.
And the Daily Record says he was set to buy the Club before Christmas. Not sure who I believe less!

Somers' 4am Boxing Day begging emails are one of the main reasons I'm suspicious about this story.
Why would you send those emails if you were already engaged in negotiations with an impeccable potential investor?
Why would this Sarver chap be interested in us anyway?
Who brought Rangers to his attention?
Does feel like someone was either trying to flush out the Rangers men, or talk the price up, even if Wilson is usually on the money.

The last few years have clearly turned me into a cynical old git, but the timing makes me very suspicious indeed.

The wider Rangers support should be very grateful for what the RST and likeminded groups have done to return our Club to us.
Now's the time for those supporters to put aside petty & personal issues and do their bit to ensure that genuine fans (wealthy or otherwise) hold the majority of shares both now and after the raising of badly needed new capital.

Lot of ifs buts and maybe in there, I am sure you know the difference between a rights and an open, however not worth the time as Res 8 was voted down by as I said RF and the RST among others.
Facts will do best in the meantime, Ashley is driving the bus so to speak, when we arrive at his chosen destination he will let all know. I enjoyed Mr Houston's well written and cogent piece, how about you.
It's a McGills bus and there's no-one other than you two on board.
I hear the route is about to be withdrawn too...

Great videos - really powerful stuff.

They only paid 1p per share so they're on looking at a return of 20 times their initial investment, looks like a profit to me!
You beat me to it FS!

How are they sitting on a tidy profit? The share price has gone from 70p to 20p.
I'd be more interested to find out who the people are behind BPH & Margerita.Could it be Ashley?
They funded Green's £5.5m purchase of the Club, so despite what the guy Houssami said in the press, I don't believe they paid anything like the current price for their shares, far less the 70p IPO headline price.

It's only a matter of hours ago I was reading a fellow fan saying on facebook that Ashley was our only hope and we must let him win....it's not like this is an isolated incident.
There were plenty of our supporters wanting to keep Ally as manager. Plenty fans thought McDowall was a good appointment. If our fans were in charge there's a huge risk that some rocket would be appointed as CEO.
I don't think a shared ownership structure works, you need someone to take control.
The camel was a horse designed by committee.
By that logic you'll be against the concept of democracy because some of the electorate have daft views?

What shares are still available, big players
BPH
Margerita
MA
Edit
MASH (Ashley) 8.9%
River & Merc 7%
Blue Pitch 5.4%
Sandy Easdale 5.2%
Margarita 3.2%
Letham 4.0%
Taylor 9.3%
Park 6.1%
King 14.6%
If I were Blue Pitch / Margerita, I'd seriously consider heading for the exit sooner than later.
They are probably still sitting on a tidy profit now, but there's not a cat in hells chance of a dividend in the foreseeable future. Moreover, If the good guys get to 50% without them, then they (BPH / Marg) will be an irrelevance and there will be no need to buy them out.

After the recent purchases I don't see the need for this now.
Quite apart from the fact that the good guys may still not have 50% of the existing shares, the fans groups need lots of cash to avoid being diluted in any future share issue.
If anything it's more important than ever now.

This is actually true and why it is utterly futile anyone putting their hand in their pocket to buy shares unless you gain 51% and can effect change.
Disagree completely. For example, a 25% holding can block asset sales.

Difficult to see how he would have the time given all his other directorial responsibilities.
No doubt it'll be positioned as a cost saving measure to have a part-time FD...

has a big debt been called in ?

The idea that a quoted company of our size can "forget" a £6.5m debt is ludicrous.
If true all of the directors in charge at the time would need to resign...
