Another week, and the old Fettesian and former Sellik supporter, Aidan Smith has another kick at Rangers. Pacific Quay should do the decent thing and give this clown a job.
Haw Aidan, how did Hibs get on yesterday?
Very poor piece and not just because I'm unsympathetic to the writer's opinion.
He's used a lot of copy to say not very much at all and he even managed to repeat the sentence mocking Warburton's stance that the bids weren't his responsibility, later in the article.

Heard the official reason it took so long for Stewards to get on the pitch is that no one other than match day officials, players and coaches / medics are allowed onto the pitch without the Stadium Manager's permission.
That was what they were saying on the radio on Saturday anyway.

Came over for a trial for Middlesbrough from Australia but was pish. Couldn't go home so souness and others paid him to wash their cars. While doing it he drew goals on the stadium wall and wouldn't go home till he scored with his left foot 1000 times the right the same and head the same. One day they were short for a reserve game and he scored a perfect hat trick.
Ended up at Liverpool
Fantastic!

That's very true. Have you heard Craig Johnstons story?
Don't think so.

At long shooty. Depends what you practice
We've been too used to practicing golf, snooker and eating Nandos.

We should only keep the 2 that are that good and have them play long shooty for 8 years until they are ready.
That worked for Bobby Charlton. He spent his formative years constantly practicing keeping the ball low from distance and scored dozens of goals like that in his career.
10000 hours of practice to be world class and all that.

Really important that the team deliver and not just for the sake of our league campaign.
If we play well and win, those returning to Ibrox after a gap will come again, buy more ST, food, programmes etcs and we might finally start to turn the trading situation around as well.
I'm not sure whether gate receipts alone enable us to balance the books, but given the poor media / merchandising deals, it's critical we keep turning up in huge numbers.

I hope the Board get a huge vote of thanks from the membership.
They have been outstanding over the past 12 months and hopefully have put an end to much of the ill informed sniping which used to constantly be aimed at the RST.
Well done all concerned.

Exactly how I see it too, great feelings getting greater every day practically.
I'm sure there will be some bumps along the road though!

All sounds very promising.
Positive momentum on lots of fronts at the moment.

The way things are going, the BBC are going to miss the excitement of The Rangers revival.
Their loss.
Hopefully Rangers TV gains a few more subscribers as a result.

I see the Sportscene managed to squeeze an extensive 46 seconds of our game into the show.
Hibs on the other hand got twice that time for exactly the same scoreline in the same competition.

You cannot compare this board with the previous one , not even in the same solar system
I'm not trying to compare them, I just don't like the idea of banning bloggers because you disagree with their opinions, even if they are being fed the lines by others and are working to an agenda.
The only way you could "ban" a blogger would be to bar them from the ground and that is a slippery slope IMO. Criticise the Board to much and you're out.

When any fan crosses the line and acts as a paid mouth piece for ex directors they deserve all they get
That's a slippery slope RBR.
Imagine if that approach had been applied by the previous regime.

That wasn't the reasoning we were thinking off , however you are totally correct , very unlikely but could happen
Basically, unless they can successfully challenge the legality of the decision, their shares are essentially worthless until they do comply.

Not exactkly sure what they can do about it though
They could comply.

Some exceptional talents excel on the park despite the drinking culture. Of that there's little doubt.
But how many real talents are lost to the game at an early age, or don't fulfil their true potential because they can't handle it? That's the real question.
Genuinely world class athletes, cyclists, swimmers etc focus on winning by inches and very few of them drink much, if any alcohol during their training & competition schedule. It's part of what they are prepared to sacrifice to be the very best.
I don't think many British footballers have that mentality, which is a shame.

Only just got back from holiday after kick off yesterday so missed the first game. Sign me up however and I will get started next week.
And thanks very much for running this again and putting your time into it for others enjoyment, much appreciated.
Not even the Little General predicted that score, so you've not lost too much ground!

Even although he will try his best psychology mostly plays a part as well.
Again that's true, but if I were Hibs I'd take that chance in the circumstances.
0 -
That assumes he will be any use to them if he stays
That's true.
I think he would be though. He can't afford to down tools after just one good season and I don't see it affecting him for more than a few weeks if he knows he'll get his move next season.

Even an extra £250k wouldn't come close to the combined financial impact on Hibs if a sale resulted in lower attendances and failure to get out of the Championship this year.
We'll see, but I suspect that we might need to wait for a pre-contract in Jan.

A Rangers signing target and Celtic are mentioned as potentially interested bidders.
What a surprise...

I think Berwick train near where Black lives which is why he's being keeping fit with them. I'm sure he'll be playing at a higher level this season.
I don't remember him being "regularly booed" at all. That's nonsense
He received occasional and relatively muted booing.
I don't think I've ever booed a Rangers player and don't condone it, but I was certainly pleased to see the back of him due to his on and off the park failings.
I wish the guy well in the remainder of his career though.

Jum has succumbed to the latest Arab trend, taking over as Heid Bummer at Sellik TV?
I have heard he is being canvassed by the SNP as a possible list MSP for next year's Scottish Parliamentary election.
Holyrood's a pretty low bar anyway, but Jim's limited grasp of facts and regular gaffs would ensure he fits in well.

Well a few thousand Rangers fans like me would get our Club Deck debentures back.
But it would be an emotional rather than rational course of action and won't happen.
