  1. We've not played to his strengths (few quality balls in from wide areas), but he has been dire. A lack of genuine pace is a killer for a modern frontman and he has none. Nor does he have great trickery to compensate. Pretty much his only attribute was a knack of being in the right place at the right time and being clinical when the chances game. Without that, he's done.
  2. I wonder whether this has any impact on the outstanding legal claim over our assets now "owned" by Worthington. I suspect it was never going anywhere to start with, but hopefully these revelations will lead to it being killed off completely.
  3. I don't have a problem with challenging other people's unacceptable behaviour Rab, but I'd rather we put our own house in order first. Then we can move the debate onto how ludicrous it is to try and claim the morale high-ground while using dehumanising language like orcs, zombies, monkeys etc, never mind the genuinely sectarian stuff sang elsewhere.
  4. If the fans are now serious about ownership of / influence over the Club, then we need to accept the responsibility that brings with it. This is something I'd like to see the RST / Union of Fans, or even the Rangers Fan Board, address. We had very little sectarian chanting in the lower leagues, although I was at Berwick, when we once again did it on national TV. So why is it happening again now? I can understand the Celtic match stirring the emotions and folk getting carried away, especially with all the taunting ("your Club died / zombies / orcs / monkeys / Remembrance Day mocking"), the deflection (claiming "Huns" isn't sectarian but "******" is / IRA songs are only "political") and the fact that we do seem to be spotlighted for special attention, but we're just doing our detractors work for them. If we can be so easily goaded into self harm, then everyone will be lining up to have a poke at us and it'll probably end up with real damage being done to the Club. Would any of these numbskulls fancy missing out on a playoff spot this season due to a points deduction? I think the only answer is for the fans groups to get together and say 1) these are the songs that will cause us grief - don't sing them 2) here are the original / alternative words that will allow us to retain some of those songs, without leaving yourself or the Club open to punishment.
  5. As GS says, unless there are some minimum order quantities involved, I doubt Rangers would order significant volume under the current contract. I wonder what Puma make of it all. Can't be too happy with Mr Ashley or Rangers.
  6. True. However, there would be very little to gain by hanging on for another 3-4 days if the outcome was inevitable. It would certainly harm reputations further in the eyes of the city.
  7. You need to add "Know Your Enemy" to that list...
  8. I'm sure King will point out to Ashley that SD will sell more shirts and make both parties more cash, if he can tell the fans that the contract has been renegotiated and is now more equitable towards RFIC. Otherwise I foresee lots of Protest and Lionbrand shirts being sold until 2017. Whether Ashley listens is another matter though.
  9. I believe it's the Nomad's responsibility to appoint Directors in that scenario (assuming they don't resign).
  10. The author may well be a self made millionaire and able to explain a discounted cash flow calculation (albeit not that well), but he forgets one fundamental problem with Ashley... he can't deliver the supporters, because they don't trust him. They won't trust him because he won't explain his motivations or plans for the Club
  11. That would be my bet too. Once Capita have hard evidence from proxy returns that the Resolutions will all pass, then they and the Nomad should really advise the Board to step down and avoid the ignomy of being voted off.
  12. Thanks for the tip! [emoji4] For some reason the desktop site hadn't retained my login details and I couldn't remember them.
  13. If anyone can tell me how you vote on a poll using Tapatalk, I'd be really keen to find out. I only had access via my mobile last week and couldn't find it, so I had to rely on the collective wisdom of Gersnet. Safe hands obviously.
  14. But she managed to minute the undernoted "not for minuting" gem: BL: Not for minuting – the Three Bears shit themselves when they thought we’d accept their deal.
  15. Ian Cathro, with Neil McCann as an assistant and Magath as DoF would be a great result and not break the bank.
  16. It's on Fantasy Island, where a small guy in a suit pulls all the strings for his Boss.
  17. Anyone who wants to vote and hasn't chipped in any cash is welcome to do so. Think of it as a virtual honesty box!
  18. That voice would be heard much more loudly and clearly if they did IMO.
  19. I listened to the whole press conference BH. Whilst you're correct about those specific quotes, he could not have been clearer about his instructions regarding those 5 players and the journalists clarified the point 3 or 4 times with him.
  20. The voice of the fans would be better served by making it clear to investors that none of the support trust a word this Board say about anything.
  21. He's either incompetent and doesn't know what's going on, or he's a lier (whatever his motivation) or he doesn't care enough about the RFB to make the time to correct his error when he realises it (a quick email would have sufficed, even if it was early in the morning). Given FS's previous comments about him, I don't believe he's incompetent, so you can take your pick of the other two options. RFB's position is untenable either way IMO.
  22. Which is why I think that the RFB have to resign en masse. At best you can't rely on anything you're being told by them and at worst you're deliberately being used to spread misinformation. Anyone on the Board who is serious about Fan Engagement doesn't hold an annual meeting 500 miles away.
