  1. Looks like he's been sacked from Sunderland (well according to twitter).
  2. Curious, are these Clement'a choices or players identified by scouting team.
  3. Maybe like me, they can't decide. We need an either option.
  4. Oi you lot!! I've got this thread on constantly , and when I seen 25 new responses, I thought this was it!! Please no more antipodeans puns!! 😁
  5. .... Or testing the water to see if the fans were up for lampard project.
  6. Why would they go for the guy that's won he-haw. Clement and muscat have at least won leagues!!
  7. The thing we should be looking at is the character of the next manager. We need someone, who can motivate and is not afraid to drop people. I must admit, I doubted Gerrard, was excited when we got GVB and then Beale. Both had been around the block a few times, had learnt from different managers, different countries etc. However after listening to them, watching their tactics (and lack of plan b) , have now become more jaded with it all. My feeling is that while it would be good to have a Clement/gallardo, is worry about things being lost in translation. So for me, .. I'm leaning towards Muscat,.
  8. Got to say outside of Celtic we should really play with two forwards. Teams, will pack the defence and crowd, that one guy out. If we insist on one forward he needs to be the complete package. Hold it, turn it, strike it he needs to and be supported with two fast/strong wingers/inside forwards. I'm getting the feeling that the players are either not understanding what Beale wants, or they are(and following his plan, to the letter) and the rest of Scottish football can see it a mile coming. Now a good coach/manager, will know when that happens, it's time to react and change/try something new. If they can't and just hope, that some how plan "A" will work, they are in the wrong job
  9. I was on the fence for a while. A couple of reasons being, it's early in the season, and worried that we would be seen (as someone said above) that we would be seen as a poisoned chalice. Which I suspect is why some people voted no. Personally I voted in the end for him to go. Watching the Kilmarnock/Celtic games, I couldn't see any style or cutting edge. Either the players are not listening to him, or he can't communicate his ideas to them. He's also left yilmaz out of the Europa squad, let hagi (cantwell injury)go out on loan to. Listening to heart on hand podcast, I have to agree with some points. He was backed by the board. These are the players he wanted. They were brought in to play a certain formation/style. This hasn't happened. Danilo is left on the bench. All bizarre.
  10. The problem is, it creates a vacuum, where people will fill it there conjecture. Then from the players point of view, there is potential for them to become disheartened/down tools because they know he'll soon be out the door.
  11. It is a shocking state of play, that the club haven't put out a statement. You have the rags openly saying potter has turned it down. Folks in social media saying he's going. This isn't a good look for a professional club. I do wonder if he's had anything from the board, though.
  12. I think it's more about us not losing site of the bigger picture by just focusing on the disallowed goal/penalty. The football has been rotten. The team selection/formation bewildering. We have players that should of put Celtic to the sword, they didn't. Why is this? Now we can say that if the goal stood, What's to say, they wouldn't of exploited our lack of game plan and just scored another. After all let's be honest, would we have had confidence that the team would hold onto the lead and indeed scored more.? I honestly think their is a malaise running through the whole football operation. We need either for Mb to find some steel or someone else who does.
  13. Also when we scout our players, I do wonder if we look at their character/determination/bravery, as well as their technical stats.
  14. We can debate the disallowed goal/foul/penalty all we like. The fact of the matter is, it won't change a thing. We had 90 minutes at home, to put that ball on the back of the net more times than Celtic, and we didn't This isn't Beale's first walk in the park against Celtic . This isn't even the first game of the season. He should have a clear game plan and that needs to be communicated to the players and then he needs to motivate to the level that their life depends on it!! If they are not getting it, then game plan 2. He's the manager, he needs to spot what's wrong and sort it fast. I do wonder if we need more Scottish/Rangers fan in that team (thinking John brown) to remind them what it's all about.
  15. Also, if we're going 5-3-2, then having competition/rotation for each fullback would make sense.
  16. I take the point about selling Morelos and Kent before their contracts expired but I tend to think that managers of said interested interested class clubs, came to the conclusion that both weren't worth the punt! both I expect down to attitude/workrate and character. Morelos easy to wind up and unfit. Kent downing tools for a season (no doubt worried he may not get a huge sign on fee if injured). What makes it more sad is both of them have the tools to turn and win games and could of stepped up another level but it just didn't happen. So as a manager of a British club, would you want them round?
  17. I think Beale is only saying what we all thought already. Morelos has let the team down so many times, with his on field behaviour. Kent is just a ghost of a player now. I do wonder if the pair of them are afraid to get injured in what could scupper their next move. I would also add that maybe by Beale being public in his comments about them, that it's a shot across the bow for other underperforming players. Eg get yer shit together or your out. I only hope that that he gets backing from our very silent board to do this!
  18. It would definitely be great to see you on there. One point of consideration though, you might want to be prepared for people scouring previous posts on social media (going back hundreds of years), looking to trip you up or make your point null and void.
  19. If we're supposedly going for the likes of Henderson, Kelly & McKay (I know, not exciting), I wonder if they now recognise a need for Scottish players, who gets what's needed to play for one of the big two and not give up at the first sign of a battle.
  20. What's the deal with Davies? Is he injured/short of fitness? Od does Gio not like him? Apologies, didn't see the thread dedicated to Davies.
  21. You are indeed right it was grey. Still, not a bad first football top.
  22. What are the chances..My first football top was a Liverpool away top (light blue with crown paints on it). Also have a retro Ajax top, and two Napoli shirts! All teams I like to watch on TV, when I can!
  23. I think it would be hard not to talk about it. Unfortunately he's been sent off 8 times the majority of which is for stupid stuff. Stevie G did address it with him and it looked for a while he had nipped it but alas no. He's put Gio in a tight position. Gio can let it slide(but what message does that send out). Or he can show that no man is bigger than club and that when you do something stupid, you have to own it and deal with the repurcussions. The fact that members of the first team are behind Gio shows that they are fed up.
