It's interesting that 54 members voted in the poll about sacking Beale but only 22 (so far) appear to give a shit whether Muscat or Clement take the reins. In fact more people voted against sacking Beale than have voted for Muscat and Clement combined. Clearly, we are far more concerned with the past than the future.

Maybe like me, they can't decide. We need an either option.

I still think the Lampard link was never a serious one, more a name released to make other options seem more appealing but then I guess thats something a Marketing and Commercials expert would engage in and we don't have one of them..... do we? ;)

.... Or testing the water to see if the fans were up for lampard project.

  3. The thing we should be looking at is the character of the next manager. We need someone, who can motivate and is not afraid to drop people.

I must admit, I doubted Gerrard, was excited when we got GVB and then Beale. Both had been around the block a few times, had learnt from different managers, different countries etc. However after listening to them, watching their tactics (and lack of plan b) , have now become more jaded with it all.

My feeling is that while it would be good to have a Clement/gallardo, is worry about things being lost in translation. So for me, .. I'm leaning towards Muscat,.

  4. I was on the fence for a while. A couple of reasons being, it's early in the season, and worried that we would be seen (as someone said above) that we would be seen as a poisoned chalice. Which I suspect is why some people voted no.

Personally I voted in the end for him to go.

Watching the Kilmarnock/Celtic games, I couldn't see any style or cutting edge. Either the players are not listening to him, or he can't communicate his ideas to them.

He's also left yilmaz out of the Europa squad, let hagi (cantwell injury)go out on loan to.

Listening to heart on hand podcast, I have to agree with some points. He was backed by the board. These are the players he wanted. They were brought in to play a certain formation/style. This hasn't happened. Danilo is left on the bench.  All bizarre.

  5. It is a shocking state of play, that the club haven't put out a statement. You have the rags openly saying potter has turned it down. Folks in social media saying he's going. This isn't a good look for a professional club.

I do wonder if he's had anything from the board, though.

  6. I think it's more about us not losing site of the bigger picture by just focusing on the disallowed goal/penalty.  The football has been rotten. The team selection/formation bewildering.

We have players that should of put Celtic to the sword, they didn't. Why is this?

Now we can say that if the goal stood, What's to say, they wouldn't of exploited our lack of game plan and just scored another. After all let's be honest, would we have had confidence that the team would hold onto the lead and indeed scored more.?

I honestly think their is a malaise running through the whole football operation.

We need either for Mb to find some steel or someone else who does.

  7. We can debate the disallowed goal/foul/penalty all we like. The fact of the matter is, it won't change a thing.

We had 90 minutes at home, to put that ball on the back of the net more times than Celtic, and we didn't

This isn't Beale's first walk in the park against Celtic . This isn't even the first game of the season. He should have a clear game plan and that needs to be communicated to the players and then he needs to motivate to the level that their life depends on it!!

If they are not getting it, then game plan 2. He's the manager, he needs to spot what's wrong and sort it fast.

I do wonder if we need more Scottish/Rangers fan in that team (thinking John brown) to remind them what it's all about.

  8. I take the point about selling Morelos and Kent before their contracts expired but I tend to think that managers of said interested interested class clubs,  came to the conclusion that both weren't worth the punt! both I expect down to attitude/workrate  and character.

Morelos easy to wind up and unfit. Kent downing tools for a season (no doubt worried he may not get a huge sign on fee if injured).

What makes it more sad is both of them have the tools to turn and win games and could of stepped up another level but it just didn't happen.

So as a manager of a British club, would you want them round?

  9. I think Beale is only saying what we all thought already. Morelos has let the team down so many times, with his on field behaviour. Kent is just a ghost of a player now. I do wonder if the pair of them are afraid to get injured in what could scupper their next move.

I would also add that maybe by Beale being public in his comments about them, that it's a shot across the bow for other underperforming players. Eg get yer shit together or your out.

I only hope that that he gets backing from our very silent board to do this!

  10. If we're supposedly going for the likes of Henderson, Kelly & McKay (I know, not exciting), I wonder if they now recognise a need for Scottish players, who gets what's needed to play for one of the big two and not give up at the first sign of a battle.

There does appear to be a problem with Morelos which needs to be sorted but there's no doubt there have been briefings to highlight it - from Boyd pre-match on Saturday through to commercial media partners of the club over the last couple of days.

Since then we've had a red card rescinded which arguably cost us 2 points at the weekend so the narrative pushed by the club is a strange one in my view ahead of a vital Euro tie.

I think it would be hard not to talk about it. Unfortunately he's been sent off 8 times the majority of which is for stupid stuff. Stevie G did address it with him and it looked for a while he had nipped it but alas no. He's put Gio in a tight position. Gio can let it slide(but what message does that send out). Or he can show that no man is bigger than club and that when you do something stupid, you have to own it and deal with the repurcussions.  The fact that members of the first team are behind Gio shows that they are fed up.

Seems to be some bizarre conspiracy theories coming out around twitter that he has rejected our contract offer so we are 'briefing' against him to move him on.

Seems to me to be a bit of an off move to besmirch someone's character but hope to get another club to buy him at the same time. But people have thier reasons for thinking the way they do.

Hang on,. We're not Barcelona 😁
