  1. Following this announcement, it does appear that the good guys are edging ever closer to obtaining the 50% + 1 magical figure. Should this be the case and they prevail at the EGM, what is the next step? Lambias and Leach were appointed as Directors on behalf of MASH and SD, in return for loans from Ashley and presumably can be voted off upon payment of the outstanding loans. (I am ignoring the employee issue at this time). My assumptions 1. Dave King wins the EGM. 2. DK repays the loans from short term loans that he will provide, to be converted into equity at the next share offering. IIRC he offered 16m for the entire share capital previously and advised that this is still available (presumably less the amount for the shares that he had to purchase on the open market.) 3. Lambias and Leach are dismissed from the board and placed on gardening leave or dismissed, following investigation into the onerous contracts and conflict of interest. (We live in hope!) 4. New share offering to existing shareholders. This has already been approved by the current board at the AGM, so will go ahead. 5. The EGM is unlikely to result in a 75% in favour of DK, so share offering would be restricted to existing shareholders. 6. Easdale block and Ashley would be compelled to buy into the share offering to maintain their current level of shareholding. Unlikely to occur as Ashley bought his shares on the open market to prevent money coming into the club so as to ensure the acceptance of his loans and conditions. 7. RF and RST continue to buy shareholding and increase their influence at board level. Does anyone see it playing out any other way?
  2. Can anyone tell me the role that AIM regulations and 'our' Nomad are supposed to play please? You have a situation whereby the CEO and CFO are appointed due to loans from the bank of Mike Ashley, and how, clearly in breach of their fiduciary duty to ALL shareholders, proceed to rape and pillage on behalf of their master. If they (AIM/Nomad) are not able or willing to step in at the sign of such blatant conflict of interest, when will they? What has to be triggered in order for them to protect the minority shareholders? Hopefully if/when King wins the EGM, he buys out the remaining shareholders and delists the company. Nothing to stop RST and RF continuing to acquire a greater shareholding in a delisted company, but without the cost and quite frankly, non existent compliance with regulations. Ashley must feel that he is being savaged by a dead sheep, such is his ability to strip the revenue from the club with no recourse from the 'authorities'.
  3. Thanks Craig, sorry have been out of the country for a few days and haven't had time to catch up properly.
  4. What happens if the date is brought forward by the wigs, in order to catch those shareholders who have not completed their proxy forms? Is there a minimum notice period that must be given? In any event, if you are not intending to attend, complete and submit the proxy's as soon as possible and hopefully the EGM is merely a formality!
  5. "There is no promise that all shareholders' interests will be represented". Well, I laughed! I honestly cannot believe that their spin doctor can put this together and keep a straight face. Is it just a case of throw enough sh*t and hope some of it sticks to King?
  6. Thanks, I should also have added that had anyone not seen the game, and only saw the result, it would not have been viewed as a disaster. As bad as the match was, for me the worst part was the comments from the players after the game, (Black, Smith, McCulloch) where they genuinely seem to believe that they competed on an even keel. They are totally delusional and if professional players cannot see the vast gulf that existed between the respective teams, then there is absolutely no possibility of any improvement in our performances and subsequently our results. All I can hope for is that the Newcastle reserves come in with something to prove and embarrass our existing group of charlatans into actually raising their game to a level where they can begin to justify the disgusting levels of remuneration that they are currently on.
  7. Didn't the English FA change their rules following Watford loaning half a dozen or so Italian players from the same club when Zola was in charge? Surprised that the SFA haven't followed suit, but they probably will now!
  8. Celtic never got out of second gear and coasted through the game. Has they come hard at us, we would have been lucky to escape with a five goal beating. We never looked likely to score or even threaten their goal at any time. The team showed no passion or desire and merely reinforced the perception that they are an overpaid bunch of mercenaries going through the motions. This Rangers team is literally light years behind Celtic, despite that being their weakest ever squad of players. I think that the existing Rangers group of players would probably do well to finish in the top 6, but I can see Llambias not renewing any of the contracts due for renewal in the summer and relying on the Newcastle reserves to make up the numbers going forward.
  9. I think the more important question is - can we afford not to? If you were to offer a caretaker position to Stuart McCall 10k per month, with a 100% bonus at the end of the season should we be promoted, surely that has to be a better option than the lame duck manager we currently have.
  10. Wow, just wow. Truly sickening. Incidentally, I would feel total disgust to any Rangers board who used Ibrox in this manner, whether that is the incumbents, DK or the 3B.
  11. Very emotive article and certainly brought back memories for me. My dad and his brother were attending the match and had left about 10 minutes before the end. My mom and I were at my granny's house in Paisley and I'll never forget the panic in the house, even as a 4 year old at the time. There was just no way of knowing who had been affected until my dad and uncles got back home. Ibrox is a monument to the 66, and for the board to adopt a cést la vie attitude should never be forgotten or forgiven.
  12. So that would actually mean only 300k into the coffers with the balance being retained by the other shareholder in RR i.e. Sports Direct! How can Charles Green not be prosecuted for totally failing in his fiduciary duties, is beyond me.
  13. I presume that he would have had a valid contract, so can only imagine that this then required the club to pay of the remainder of the contract? As the right back position has been a disaster this season, it makes absolutely no sense. Why not give him a run until the end of the season and then be in a better position to evaluate Kyle's potential. After all, he could hardly play any worse than Foster.
  14. You cant get good tattie scones or black pudding in South Africa! C'mon King, make this happen. (EGM not tattie scones)
  15. McGregor contract extension was subject to him playing in xx amount of games this season, so this should already have been triggered. As for the balance, I honestly couldn't make a case for a single one of them, although you may find that several of them have similar clauses in their contracts and we could be stuck with them anyway.
  16. Are you talking about Steve Clarke? I always thought he was a Celtic supporter?
  17. If there is no gagging order and Ally released a "warts and all" story, I'd be sleeping outside the bookstore waiting for it to open!
  18. My understanding is that should an individual vetted by the South African Financial Services Board by found to be fit and proper by that authority, this is accepted by the British Financial Services Authorities and vice versa. As DK has settled his tax affairs and remains the executive chairman of a listed South African corporation (Micromega), he should have no difficulties on that front. I really don't know how much disposable income he has, certainly, it is "not off the charts" but Micromega have doubled their headline earnings per share for the past 6 months and as a large part of his fortune would be calculated in share value, his worth has increased substantially over 2014. Like many supporters, I was gutted that DK had not put us out of our misery and made the existing Rangers shareholders an offer for 100% of the Club, but he, like MA, is a very astute businessman and would prefer to spend his money on sorting out the state of the Club, rather than paying the carpetbaggers and sp*vs. DK is a genuine supporter and sees the Club for what it was and what it needs to revert to that level, rather than what he can take out of it. Finally, like every other supporter, with the recent arrests and investigations into both the Whyte and Green takeovers, hopefully we will get a better understanding of whether D&P actually stitched over all other potential owners in favour of Green. We are all just guessing, and coming to conclusions based upon our own natural bias.
  19. As an overseas bear, buying the merchandise was one in way in which I could support the club financially. My son owns every home, away and third strip since he was born in 1998 plus various other training tops, duvet covers, curtains etc. Sad that it has reached a day where I can no longer do so, but unfortunately, the onerous deals and Sp*v taxes make sure that the money will no longer be spent on that supporting that regime.
  20. 'Sunday was a day of rest for everybody and then Monday was a day of reflection at Murray Park.' Day of rest and day of reflection? Fuck me. And yet Robbie Nielson confirmed that Hearts players were coming in for training on the Sunday following the match. Perhaps explains why there is a 9 point gap.
  21. Agreed, other than Macleod and Wallace, who else would generate a transfer fee? I think that Blackpool tried to get Law for about 50k a transfer window or two ago; McGregor has been quite impressive since signing, particularly at CB, so possibly him; Bell is unlikely to attract any interest until he is fully fit again and as far the rest, most are out of contract at the end of the season so wouldn't generate any transfer fee anyway. However, if you sold Wallace and Macleod in January, you are basically guaranteeing that we will not get automatic promotion and even the play-offs becomes increasingly difficult. If the only way in which to make money as a club is to get into Europe, then promotion this season is non-negotiable and for that Macleod and Wallace are indispensable. (Wallace has been a shadow of himself this season, but hopefully he can get back to the standards that he is capable of sooner rather than later.) The board can always sell Macleod and Wallace at the end of the season if need be if we don't get promotion, but to sell them in Jan, would be Ally's get out of jail free card.
