I don't think it's possible for the majority of the support to be with you on anything as your permanently contrarian stance means you would choose the opposite of the majority. A permanent juxtaposition. Heigh-Ho it takes all kinds... -

DK made clear during one of his press conferences around the time of the EGM that any new NOMAD would require 3 to 4 weeks to complete due diligence on the company rather than the individuals involved, and this could only begin after the new board was formed. I'd imagine this due diligence is still ongoing. -

Indeed, I meant listed company rather than PLC. -

I say congratulations to the guys appointed to the board yesterday and good luck to them. I do have one technical question though, how where these appointments made without a nominated advisor in place? I thought that Nomad approval and due diligence was required to appoint a director to a PLC... -
No doubt I've posted this before, but it has been that way for a long time as this verse from Woody Guthrie's 1939 outlaw ballad, The Ballad of Pretty Boy Floyd clearly shows. Yes, as through this world I've wandered I've seen lots of funny men Some will rob you with a six-gun And some with a fountain pen

Thanks for that FS. Having read through the document mentioned I think it is incredible how these gangsters operate. Talk about abusing the system! At one point one of them is a director of the company responsible for the pension, a trustee of the pension itself, and an advisor to the trustees. Due to bad advice he gave to the trustees he was in a position where he could have made a claim against himself! The incestuous links around the Rangers story since Whyte got involved begin to make a bit more sense after reading that document. Honesty is like daylight to a vampire with these people...- 55 replies

Here's one I did back in the old msn messenger days. He was intended to represent scepticism which is rightly in great supply amongst the Rangers support these days

I think it shows their desperation and their lack of understanding of the Rangers fan's resolve, let the cry be No Surrender!

Thanks for that D'Art. I'm probably stating the obvious but I see an analogy of the Battle of the Alamo in the Texas Revolution as very fitting given that the ruthlessness shown by the Mexican Army in that battle led to a swell in membership of the Texian Army and eventually to their victory. Our victory awaits...

A Sad Tale of Woe From a Local Business Type
MeAndMyWeePalJoe replied to andy steel's topic in Rangers Chat
It seems quaint that people would still threaten someone by letter in this day and age, a deeply literate lot these threatening types... Sir, Please cease and desist with your wayward behaviour towards RFC or myself and a number of like minded individuals shall have no other recourse but to afford you a damned good thrashing. 12/01: American businessman Robert Sarver pulls out of running
MeAndMyWeePalJoe replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
THE American was set to buy the entire club before Christmas but is now ready to do a deal with Dave King and the Douglas Park consortium to take a controlling interest. Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver is interested in buying shares in Rangers . AMERICAN banker Robert Sarver has held discussions about buying Rangers - and joining forces with the group of wealthy fans who are trying to force regime change at Ibrox. Sarver - owner of NBA outfit the Phoenix Suns - has been secretly engaged in buyout talks with the beleaguered board since before Christmas and it’s believed he was ready to spend more than £30million to buy 100 per cent of the club’s shares. But Sarver has been made aware of the ongoing power struggle behind the scenes which has seen Dave King, George Letham. Douglas Park and George Taylor snap up a 35 per cent holding in the last week. After holding positive discussions with Park’s consortium over the festive period, Sarver - CEO of Western Alliance Bancorporation - is supportive of their plans to topple the current board. He may even be willing to strike a deal with them as they attempt to take on Newcastle owner Mike Ashley for control of the boardroom. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-power-struggle-banker-robert-4918191 -
