  1. Guess that's modern football these days. No soul. You'd reckon players would be hanging on his every word. He's got the trophies to back it all up. I take the Inter point. The Palace fiasco not so much. You can't determine a managers fate after 4 games. Would you you take him?
  2. FdB would be a great appointment in my opinion. Guy has had a great career as a player and a good career as a coach. Ajax hadn't won the league in something like 7 years and he went on to win 4 titles in a row. Inter wasn't a success but that's an incredibly tough job and had he done well there then we wouldn't get a look in. The Palace job counts for nothing, the nuts world of being a manager in the daft league. 4 games then sacked. It's a joke. The problem might be he'd want to overhaul the squad and I'm not sure we can afford that again. He also has a particular style of football he likes to play. I think our current squad is only 3/4 players away from being back where we belong but whether or not the core of the current squad would suit FdB's system I'm not so sure. I think he'd be a good appointment and he'd get my vote over Clarke, Ross and Murty.
  3. It's almost like the players pinned everything on that Celtic game and in turn it took everything out of them. A good manager knows how to raise his team after a defeat like that but with a manager learning as he goes at this level we were happy to go back to being surrender monkeys. Love that phrase! And with our our manager learning on the job, I'm not expecting him to make a change at all to our system and tbf it has been working away from home. Perhaps it is at Ibrox that we should look to change the shape. I'd like to see Dorrans come in for Goss. Goss is quite clearly a player but he's a lot to learn and there's a reason he's went from Man utd youth to QPR reserves to us. Maybe he's worth a punt in the summer, I'd suggest it's not the end of the world if he goes back down south based on what we've seen. Dorrans was starting to hit some good form and he is probably one of our better players so we need to get him some game time before the semi. Up top I think we'll go back to wee Alfie. Hopefully another break for him revitalises him and he can get back among the goals. I actually think the international break came at a good time for us with some players returning to training and time to re charge, put those two defeats behind us and go again. Im expecting a win on Sat, but it'll be a battle and the attitude that was shown against Kilmarnock is nowhere to be seen. We need to win these two games going into the semi. I'm gonna go for 3-1 Rangers and Morelos to be among the goals
  4. We should’ve won yesterday. That’s 6 years since we’ve beaten them in 90 minutes and that record in itself needs to end soon. Murty learning on the job cost us today, he was too naive at 2-2 and them down to ten men. They’ll be waking up today thinking how on earth did they win that! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Not even a debate for me. Morelos starts. He offers so much more and every defender in the SPL won’t enjoy an afternoon of him tormenting them. He looked like he just couldn’t be bothered today but still got into a few good positions Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. It's come too soon for Wallace. It'll be Halliday for the next couple of weeks I'd imagine with the yahoo game so close. John was linking well with Murphy as well. A lot made in the media about Celtic injuries but we've had no luck all season!
  7. Thought we were magnificent. Really unlucky that we scored our second goal in the dying minutes because had it came earlier that would’ve been a cricket score! For the first time in years we have momentum and are going into every game expecting to win. And when you consider that 4 of that starting line-up have been with the squad for a month it’s starting to look pretty optimistic. A special mention for Morelos today, I know a few other players are rightly taking the plaudits but wee Alfie is massive to the current formation. Defenders don’t know whether to go or stay and his runs create space. Link up excellent. And both Centre half’s new they were in a game. That Hearts team have been excellent recently but that really was men against boys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thought we were excellent tonight all over the park. You could make an argument for 3 or 4 players being man of the match but for me Tav was excellent. Get that boy a new contract. He’s improving defensively as well. All the new boys played well and the team looks a lot more balanced having a natural left winger in the side. Considering they haven’t played a lot of football this season they all stepped up. I thought the sheep were terrible. But that was down to every one of our players doing their job. Last ten mins we were shaky but that was down to Holt moving forward and Halliday playing a position he can’t really play. Need to follow that up and try go on a good run to put pressure on the bheasts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’d rather Docherty than Hyndman. Docherty has played an incredible number of top flight games for his age. The boy will only get better. I’d take Hyndman If it was a permanent deal but we don’t need him and he was only ok last year but should improve with age and regular game time. Hindsight is a funny thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. We’ve now go two guys up front who defenders will hate playing against. I mind he was on transport bus at an airport once and him and some of the Hibs boys were on it. Their patter was cringe and they came across as daft wee boys but I guess that’s to be expected as they are young. Hopefully he’ll grow up in a Rangers jersey. I’ve been delighted with what we’ve done this window if we get the guys linked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Dembele is a stone overweight. If they get 18 million for them they’ll have done well. Murty should be telling the press after games the wee man scores in that he’s 30 million pound striker. Same with McCrorie! I can’t wait to see what a wee 3 week break does for Morelos having played a full calendar year. This last month he has looked knackered towards the end of games. I also hope he keeps bagging the goals in as I have him top scorer at 25/1
  12. Naisy is moving back up here and wants to come to us for no fee and low wages. His alternate is Killie. I'd take him back in a heartbeat if it's low wages. No brainer
  13. January. Both Aberdeen and Hearts want a few in Jan instead of leaving for free in the summer
  14. I have very little optimism for Sat with the amount of injuries we have and our topsy turvy form. They've not been great lately but will be well up for this. I worry how easily teams can bully us and guys like Holt and Barjonas aren't strong enough and will fall out the game. We absolutely cannot concede and early goal and for me the only formation we can play is 5-4-1. We need to start stopping crosses, both our fullbacks aren't having the best seasons in that regard. Bruno, Wilson and either Bates or Cardoso (Murty just doesn't seem to rate him) need to keep their concentration levels for 90 mins high. We cannot start Hodson, the guy just doesn't have quality. In midfield our most important player will be McCrorie. He looked as if the knock he took the other night affected him the rest of the game so hopefully he's shaken that off. He will need to be strong and composed on the ball which is crazy given how inexperienced he is. He has the ability to stand up and be counted. I'd maybe go with Nico instead of Barjonas just because I don't think we can get away with Holt and Barjonas but again it's a big ask for either for different reasons. I'd give Windass a free role in behind Morelos but also dropping back to help the midfield out. Get him switching flanks. That's putting a lot of eggs in an often unreliable basket but he also has the ability to cause them problems. We'll need to move the ball fast when we can. We'll need to hope they have a bad day and that we have no passengers. We'll need the referee to be strong and fair but from starting this reply to now I've changed my mind. We are gonna win 3-1
  15. From what I heard at the game last night in my mates box is that McLean and Walker have been tentatively agreed but we also had an agreement with Moult who moved the goalposts at the last minute so who knows. Extra bodies will be handy but neither having a great season so won't be massively upset if they don't happen. I'd like to see us take a punt on that left winger at Killie, having a good season and Killie are always looking to sell. Too often we wait til the Championship clubs are sniffing around so we need to act a bit quicker and smarter
  16. Went to watch Barca last year at the Camp Nou and Messi was terrible. He was also man of the match. No tracking back and at times looked uninterested but in a 5 minute period he picked the ball up at the half way line and ran towards goal beating 3/4 players before passing to Neymar for a tap in. Exact same goal twice in under 5 mins. Barca won 2 nil due to Messi exploding into action. He's a different breed mind
  17. We are soft. McCoist said that on BT last week and he is right. Rangers football club is soft. How easy a game was that for Beaton? We should of given him a torrid time but not once did I see a Rangers player in his face after Beaton gave Well anything. Yet when Rangers got a FK the Motherwell players weren't shy in telling Beaton what they thought. Their GK even ran towards the half way line to complain in the second half. Then they got a FK just outside our box and the ref counted out ten yards and our players were already further back than that. I have never seen a professional wall be told to step FORWARD
  18. Yes and he offered his resignation and Murray refused it and persuaded him to stay on. He also took us within a baw hair of the last 8 of the Champions League. I actually feel for SBS for having to endure that haha I'd have taken Eck til the end of the season. I feel for Murty but the board have basically told the players to chuck it
  19. After a nights sleep it isn't any better. Our problems start from the top and work their way down. Dave King - seems as if hes completely immune to criticism and unable to admit he got anything wrong. Stewart Robertson - Out his depth and is stealing a wage. From what I hear he takes toil for HAVING to attend games. He'll get a wee day off midweek for that shambles yesterday unlike the thousands of bears he continues to short change. Killie were in freefall without a manager, they went out and got an ex EPL manager who instantly commands respect and signed a solid CMF for nothing who absolutely schooled our midfield yesterday and hes not even match fit yet. Allen - why is he here? Seems he is trying to engineer an out given his quotes in the press. Would be no great loss but yet again embarrassing. The fact Mulumbu (and there will be others of that quality out there) wasn't even looked at for Rangers is criminal. Douglas Park - Needs to get out of that boardroom. Still being a disruptive influence and he was the man who appointed Pedro. Pedro appointment was a stab in the dark risk that was never likely to pay off. Murty - Or 'Murts' as the players call the now Rangers manager. That tells you everything you need to know. I feel for the guy but the Rangers managers job at one of the most important times in our history isn't a place to learn your trade. The players look unfit, scared and uninterested. Its his job to change that. I don't see him being manager at the end of January. Injuries - over the other side of the city, I hear they have guys out injured busting a gut to get back in the team. Playing with injuries. There was a season where wee Barry took injections 7 or 8 times before games just so he could play. It seems all to easy for our players on the injury table. An easy life. Why do we have so many injuries? Is this a training issue? We are paying Alves a small fortune and he has been injured about 4 times now. I don't see any of them bursting a gut to get back and help out. The guys who are actually playing look completely out of any sort of heart and commitment. There's quality there in some of them but they seem uninterested. No shouting and bawling when we lose a goal. McCoist was right yesterday when he said we were soft because we are. Tav can turn a 50/50 into 30/70 because he's scared of getting hurt. Same goes for Windass. All this Soccer Am stuff with the two of them, scrap that until they are performing on the park week in week out. It all comes down to attitude and far too many of our players have the wrong attitude. Its a tough test for the young boys and we need to watch we aren't too hard on them but the more senior pros need to help them out. You'd think making Danny Wilson captain would focus him but he's unable to concentrate a full 90 mins. I fear for us on the 30th and I cant wait for that game to be over and for us to have a few weeks to try sort some of the mess we are in. The January transfer window is massive for us though im not expecting that much. Top to bottom they are all taking for granted our great support who sell out ibrox and travel in our thousands to away games. Once that goes we'll really be in big trouble. Merry xmas
  20. A terrific result considering we have arguably 6 first team starters out. Not many could’ve predicted a midfield 3 of Holt McCrorie and Barjonas starting against an in form Hibs a few months back. We’ve lost our captain, and now our vice captain. We have young guys playing all over the park and not one word of credit is thrown our way for being where we are without the likes of Dorrans etc. We have our Under 20’s coach as our first team manager. We’ve suffered some absolutely awful refereeing decisions this year. How on Earth are we in the position after all that? Feels a bit like the Rangers of Old where we dug in time and again. Someone said Walter-esque and I did think that myself last night. Last night we had the following players 24 or under Windass Holt Morelos Barjonas McCrorie Bates John That’s quite impressive and bodes well for the future. Roll on Sat
  21. People forget that Morelos has already played a full season in Finland before joining us. The boy needed a break and hopefully he’ll kick on now that he is back amongst the goals. He gives everything and recently he looked like he was tiring at the 60 minute mark and it’s no wonder with the amount of games the boy has played
  22. Football is fickle. Murty has taken 6 points from the last 12. I like him but if it’s him or McInnes then I’d take McInnes all day long. And if it is McInnes then it should’ve been done weeks ago. Now Derek is gonna have to start well or the boo boys will be on his back. I see parallels with Eck. Hopefully the fans get behind him. I think the board were hoping for a big name to become available and it has backfired. We need a manager though
  23. Wes should save that for me. It was a good freekick and asked the question. It’s a 60/40 in favour of him saving it for me. I want him to do better but it’s not a terrible goal to concede either. That red is a joke. It won’t get rescinded though as that would be the spfl admitting incompetence and they won’t do that a third time. Utterly ridiculous decision and again another game with a game changing decision going against us. I can only think of Pena vs Hamilton where we got away with one this season. The standard is beyond a joke.
