  1. Saw this brought up in another thread and thought it deserved its own. I think Kenny has been brilliant for us this season. His work rate at his age is superb. He has his flaws that have been well documented over the years but he has played a massive part in our successes this season. I also think his influence over the younger players has probably been a great benefit to their development. Who'd have thought when we re-signed him he'd still be doing a job for us at his age. With only Waggy having a better mins per game (see other thread) than Miller in the Championship, do we think he could still do a job for us next season albeit being involved less? Id keep him on for another season, he knows what the club is all about.

  2. lets all be glad we have a player of his quality at such a young age that should get better and better. Playing competitive games from 16/17 clearly benefits players so McCoist does deserve credit. I'd have preferred him to have played for us the whole way through the leagues. I agree we need to get a figure out but only when interest starts with McKay. His likely destination is England where they are paying stupid money and with their new TV deal the next few transfer windows will be bonkers. We should be aiming to get over 10 million for him after a few seasons with us.

  3. The last player (recently -- relatively recently) -- there might have been others that I'm omitting -- I thought was a real prospect was John Fleck. I think his game was more technical than the norm up here, and it was wasted as a result.

John Fleck contributed to his own downfall. He lived in a house on his own and lived on a diet of nights out and pot noodles. Smoked like a chimney as well.

  4.

I'd like to expect a dominant, experienced centre half is high on the list of our targets as such a player would really help address our problems.

Id like to see a dominant midfielder added to our options as the Premiership is likely to be far more physical than what we've come up against this season. Also for defending and attacking set pieces as I fear for us conceding a corner lately.

  5. Warbs said that we were fit enough last night but I think everyone could see we were stiff and not at it last night. Hibs were rotten and we gifted them goals but we didn't really deserve anything out of that match. I think if you look at Tav recently, earlier in the season he was beating men almost every time he was in possession, now he doesn't look like hes quite got it in him. I think this 2/3 week break at the end of the season will work in our favour and we'll be fully refreshed for the final. A lot of these guys have played 90 mins in over 90% of our games this season.

  6. His passing is unreal. How far this boy has come on this year has been a pleasure to watch. The two strikes this week, sublime. He seems to just glide past players as well. Our POTS for me

  7. Im pretty certain Ronny is gone regardless of what he achieves between now and the end of the season. I think if we lose to Celtic it'll hurt more than last year as we had less than no chance last year and that celtic team really should've destroyed us. If we play to our best and rise to the challenge then we can beat them, these guys have got to believe even now that they are more than a match for them. Lets hope its an excellent April for us with a further party in May

  8. I kind of agree with regards to the titles won before and obviously we should be winning this league comfortably as well. For my Tuesday is more a celebration of how far we've come, things are starting to fall into place on and off the field. A celebration of the type of football we have been playing. I think its fair to say the management team, players and board for that matter deserve to know we're pleased with the direction we are going in.

  9. Id expect Celtic to strengthen and probably be under new management unfortunately. I reckon we'll probably be competing for 2nd and maybe given a few summer signings be fav for that spot but I think Celtic will up there game next season. Hopefully we give them a challenge but we didn't expect it a year ago and are miles ahead of schedule. It'll be a bonus if it happens

  10. Really hope we can get through this tie at first attempt but I reckon it'll be a cagey affair. This is our biggest game of the season and the guys need to prove they can step up. We should have the beating of them at Ibrox but I'd be a lot more confident with MW in our team. Miller cant afford to miss any sitters in this game I doubt. Hopefully a full house for it, unfortunately i'll have to find a pub in London to watch it (not easy with a London derby at the same time). Although it'll be tricky and Dundee have some decent players, Im proper looking forward to testing ourselves at a higher level

  11. Only agree re Wilson the biggest howler was when he received the ball with no one near took an eternity to decide what to do and managed to give away a throw in.If it wasn't so serious at the time I could have laughed,a mistake always waiting to happen.

ha what was that all about? He took about 6 or 7 seconds to control the ball. Then had to put it out for a throw in. I couldn't believe I was watching a professional footballer. Serious lack of confidence from the boy, needs dropped for a few weeks

  12. Young players are naïve at times, constantly learning. I think he could be a great signing for improving the guys around him. I like the idea of an older head coming in and helping the midfield out when we are losing the midfield. The St Johnstone game springs to mind. He wont be on a massive wage, everyone has been saying positive things about the guy at training and we've been meticulous in making sure he is fit enough to merit a contract. Im sure I read that he had concrete offers from other clubs but decided he wanted to sign for us. Good enough for me.
