  1. I'd take both of them. Won't lose many midfield battles with them in the team
  2. Gav has a bee in his bonnet about Eck. Pointless trying to reason with him. I'd put money on Villa going down next season. When your players can't pass a ball 10 yards then what can you do? He was promised 80 million at Brum, never got 1/8th of that. He had a net profit at Villa, all three relegated teams had net loss I'm sure. The young boys at Villa are not good enough. They are championship class if lucky. He wasn't good enough this season. Doesn't make him an awful manager.
  3. Why the BBC continually pay him to write articles for their, at times, very decent sport website baffles me! It actually really angers me. Same with the guys on the phone-ins. What a shite life they must all live. So our next caller has a point he'd like to make about Rangers . . . Yawn
  4. Holloway has done a fantastic job at Blackpool. Be good to see wee Fergie back in the premiership
  5. Yeah I like the look of him. Deserves it more than Forrest (who I do think has had a good season)
  6. Sometimes a manager and a club aren't suited. Paul le guen with us for example. He has had a lot to deal with injury wise and the fact that even their full strength squad isn't as good as 3/4's of the leagues squads. Playing 6 or 7 young boys who should be playing in the reserves due to injuries etc hasn't helped. The premier league isn't somewhere you can make mistakes. They'll grow up a lot this season. With 17 draws they are either a goal away from becoming a very good team or vice versa a bad team. First half of the season they were nearly a very good team, second half I'd say a bad team but losing Bent, Petrov, N'Zogbia and a few others didn't help. His Brum team were excellent at the back. It's strange they lose so many goals from set pieces. Dunne and Collins were excellent a few years ago. Bannan, Delph, Herd, wiesmann, luchaj, Clark, Delphonso and Gardner have all featured a lot in the first time. All young boys who just aren't ready for the premier league who he's had to play. He hasn't done well enough and he'll need a bit of quality to improve the squad in the summer (if he stays) but its been against them. Villa aren't the club people think they should be anymore. They are very much in that pack of 15 teams who could go down next season. As for saying he is an awful manager, that's a bit ridiculous. He took Motherwell to 2nd, 7 trophies with Rangers (making us 15 million in the time he was with us) against a very good Celtic team, best win percentage as Scotland boss and almost qualified from the death group, took over an already sinking Brum side and took them to automatic promotion first time of asking, took Brum to 8th on a shoe string budget, won the Carling Cup and 1/4's of the FA Cup, got Brum into Europe. Ok they got relegated but he wasn't allowed to strengthen which led to them being relegated. One bad season at Villa doesn't make him an awful manager. Being a good manager and a lucky manager go hand in hand. Is Fergie a lucky manager?
  7. The young boy at Utd should have taken the young player award
  8. All the best Sasa. Fine player for us over 6 years
  9. Crazy talk mate. Even the best teams can't win everything. They have played every game in every competition bar 1 game I think on the last 3-4 years winning almost all competitions. Can't go on forever! Averaging 4 goals at home a game isn't average
  10. Hilarious seen as hes ex Gers and has come out and publicly backed Rangers in our current situation
  11. Who is this Alex Thompson Frankie, see you mentioning him on Twitter from time to time
  12. I think there are more people who would prefer you to post them mate. It's pretty clear it's a blog from Leggo when you post them so people have a choice whether they read them or not
  13. The pitch looked great yesterday
  14. Thats weird, I just watched it all 10 mins ago
  15. Absolutely brilliant atmosphere yesterday. My dad told me that it reminded him of Old Firm games in the early 90s for atmosphere.
  16. I have a mate who managed in a bar in Ashton Lane who said he had evidence of Lemon doing substances in the toilets on several occasions when he was a player. He isnt really a football man and didnt want to do anything with it which is a pity, cause something like that would definitely lose him his job.
  17. Terribly sad news about Liam Kelly's dad dying on the day he saw his son lift the cup. Puts football in perspective
  18. It is indeed ridiculous mate. What did you expect from the Sun
  19. Let's turn it into a movie and call it Nimmo's Findings Sorry that was terrible
