  1. That was a horrible Ayrshire night last time we played Killie. The rain was brutal and ive never been so glad a match never went to extra time in my life
  2. Hopefully they are still looking for someone more reliable with Senderos's injuries. It needs to be absolutely right for us and if we miss out and he goes to Germany because we are being meticulous then so be it. We'll get more right than wrong that way. He's also maybe looking at the EPL fringe players and who might become available
  3. I think it's worrying that a lot of our players still don't look match fit and sharp. Compared to last season we are a long way off the fitness and energy levels it would seem. Doesn't look like it's just the new guys either. We could be doing with a few more games before this Celtic game to get up to speed though adrenaline might get us through that one
  4. We should only sign Senderos if he is going to improve on what we have. I hope we don't panic and end up wasting money on someone who isn't going to cut it. Clint Hill has a bit of work to do to win the fans over right now. We need to get this transfer right
  5. Footballs all about phases of play these days. No team plays one formation a game. You could argue that we already play 3-5-2 during some parts of most games with our full backs essentially wingers and someone from midfield dropping back. You see our forwards whoever they are drop deep to come get the ball a lot. Miller especially. I think we've enough players in the middle and wide areas comfortable on the ball that this isn't necessarily needed. If we can get the ball forward fast and into the box, we need a striker there to do the business and that's why I think we've signed Garner. Once everyone is fully fit it'll be interesting to see what Warbs does. Really looking forward to tomorrow's game
  6. His hate for us always leads him to making these snide remarks before we play his teams. Long may it continue. I imagine Barton and co not being best pleased by any of his digs. Hopefully we can go out and get an early goal and dominate them start to finish Saturday. Teams will expend a lot of energy playing against us so if Motherwell haven't upped their game they'll be in trouble. Add to that that each week guys like Barton and Nico will be getting closer to full match fitness I think we should be looking to beat Motherwell pretty comfortably on Saturday
  7. I think to win this league we need to play our strongest team as often as possible and for me he comes in as our best option through the middle (with Waggy on the right). All good headaches for the gaffer to have. I'd stick Lescott in straight away if he's fit. Looking forward to Sat now
  8. I agree he'll be on the bench but I never get this easing new players in. The boys fitter and probably a better option than Kenny. I reckon the Motherwell defence will be happier seeing Kennys name on the team sheet. I defo see Kennys role now as impact from the bench. He has been a terrific servant though
  9. Its where we find ourselves. I would've liked to have gone for Jason Cummings, if he screws the nut I reckon he'd have decent sell on value. Hopefully not adding bodies for the sake of it
  10. Doesn't look like we will get another in before tomorrow's game!
  11. Im gutted I cant make it on Sat due to a wedding, might try stream it on my phone in the church so keep the noise down please. I bet the atmosphere is electric on Saturday. Giving my ticket to my wee cousin, his first Rangers game, hopefully he catches the bug
  12. Kinda hope the club make a statement on the greaves sport situation as I've heard a few folk saying they are getting them thinking the strip fiasco is over
  13. Does anyone know what proportion of the new kit sales goes to Rangers now they are being sold in Greaves Sports?
  14. Agreed. Though you'd hope we've changed now and that if someone of McCormacks ability came through we'd be able to nurture them and get a good fee. The boys had a fair few 10 million plus transfers, seems like every summer he moves to a different championship club
  15. How hard is it to pick a first 11? When we need to change a game this season we are going to have an abundance of options. Such a good position to be in. Get the feeling that the guys on the bench will be hungry to get on and make an impact. Regardless who he starts against Hamilton, I doubt there will be many bears disappointed with the lineup. I'd defo start Hill ahead of Wilson for now
  16. Its really quite refreshing to have such healthy competition in every position for the season ahead. Whatever our starting 11 is this year, we are more often than not going to have an excellent bench to turn to if we need to try change the game. I think that could be massive this season for us. Last season we had decent subs but we could all guess what subs were going to be made. We are going to have excellent quality players ready to come on to change games.
  17. I don't mind the Tav Waggy situation being spoken about in the press. Does anyone really think they wont sign new deals? I reckon its 90% that they do and if they don't and want to go elsewhere, we are in a position to ask for whatever we want. Hopefully everyone else will be looking at this while we are fully focused on what we need to do. I think the key to us winning this league is a good start while they get their act together over in the east end. Hit the ground running and try get out in front.
  18. Really enjoyed that second half, thought we were excellent for large periods of the game. I'd be really surprised if that's the defence we start with on the 6th Aug. I wonder if Tav will stay our first choice right back, hard one to call with his goals and effectiveness going forward but he really doesn't know how to defend. I cant wait to see Barton in this team and we've also got an England U21 captain to consider as well. All in all it looks really promising.
  19. Is this likely to be another year where we can't buy our merchandise?
  20. They'll return to their own self imposed stadium ban next season. Wouldn't it be more inconvenient if the punishment was they had to turn up? Today was one of the worst things I've seen at a football match. An utter disgrace from Hibs. Rangers must go on the offensive with this! This can't continue
  21. Im from Ayrshire and wouldn't mind Killie staying up. They'll be in massive trouble if they go down.
