  1. I don't disagree with that being a distinct possibility. It looks like a shift due to heavy money placed rather then inside info they have received. If it was inside info then no way would Warburton still be odds on.
  2. Heavy money for Derek McInnes at the bookies. Warburton has gone out from 1/6 (dead cert) to 8/11 which is a huge shift, and McInnes is in to 13/8 which again is a huge shift from what he was. Feel quite sad at the prospect.
  3. There is no better board out there for us. Give them a chance - they are hardly in the door. They are not going to be a disaster. Lets all calm down a bit.
  4. After listening to the man, he has changed my opinion. Initially I thought it was a bit of a 'shallow' selection based on one real good season (along with the Davie Weir factor). His enthusiasm has rubbed off on me and I would be delighted if he was the choice TBH.
  5. Paddy Power have closed the book on Warburton. Skybet have gone 1/6 on Warburton. That is as close as it comes to a dead cert. They are basically not inviting any more money. Bookies don't go there unless they know something.
  6. Still rather have people in there with tried and tested European experience. It is a long term appointment after all. Arthur Numan in a partnership with Ronald De Boer for example would please me far more than Warburton.
  7. He may do, but it's not a patch on what PLG was going to do for us. in saying that, I actually wish PLG had more time though as I thought he had something. When we won in Italy for the first time ever, by handing Livorno their first home defeat of the season, I was immensely proud seeing 'my' Rangers press high up the park with plenty of bodies - in Italy. Sadly, no other manager has had the cojones to go with the same tactics since.
  8. The bookies will very seldom go to 1/4 unless they have sufficient evidence to suggest its a done deal. Offering 1/4 basically puts most punters off laying money on anyone. Laying odds of 1/4 is the nearest thing to bookies closing the book.
  9. Truth is I looked it up 'cos I was sure it was Advocaat, so I'm not much better.
  10. There is absolutely zero chance that the remit of any new manager will be to win the Scottish Cup. No chance whatsoever. There will be no short team goals other than promotion. He will be asked to get promotion with a team capable of hitting the ground running next season, with the addition of one or two more quality players.
  11. Oh I'd be very wary of the wily old 'turf accountants' on that one. 5/4 is far from a 'shoe in' with those fly gits. If they thought Pereira was a genuine 'shoe in' he would be 4/7 at very best. 5/4 looks like the old bookies offer for those easily parted from their money - "hey guys we've shortened the odds, which means we must know something. Roll up. Roll up." It's a no thanks from me Mr Sky Bet.
  12. A "no brainer"? Really? That reads to me that any other considerations\candidates need not apply. I'd rather we weighed up all candidates and made the best choice given the information at the time. No managerial appointment is ever a "no brainer", even at Real Madrid. It's a hunch and a hope given the information before you. Even then it often goes horribly wrong. Paul Le Guen was the nearest thing to a 'no brainer' I can ever remember at our Club, and the rest is history.
  13. If we haven't picked one yet, what would you like them to say?
  14. I'm linking Arthur Numan as part of a management team - as wishful thinking
  15. Really? That is a damning statistic actually.
  16. I'm maybe getting soft in my old age, but hasn't McCall tried to answer a call for the team he adores? If he ultimately fails to get promotion, is he not due a little respect for the fact he gave it his all? Is there not a place in our support for "thanks for your efforts, but it wasn't to be". Get him dumped, fuck off McCall, etc etc. Just a bit much IMHO.
  17. C'Mon Jig, ye huvnae forgot already what Ally taught us to dae wae wan o them? BLOOTER IT!!!!
  18. Note he says "Club Management". DoF? - watch this space!!!
  19. Boydy - how did you get one of them up your jumper withoot anybody seein ye?
  20. Jig lets try this one - say "it's oor baw, and your no gettin it back unless we get a game"
  21. King can fight a 'dirty' war as good as anyone. I think he is relishing this one.
  22. I can honestly say that is one of the most ridiculous comments I've seen on here in a long time. King should answer Ashley's questions about disappearing NOMADs and King stands guilty of wasting money on EGMs? Have you been asleep for a few months? Or just blinkered?
