Comeoffit - I posted below on a previous thread (C Green on his travels) and it went unanswered. I'm still curious: "Comeoffit, I'm interested - was there a time when you were happy as a Rangers Man? If so, who was in charge of the Club? Who was the manager? Given the choice now, what would your decision be? Who would you have in charge of the Club (I know names are difficult but what would they do different from CG?). Who would be manager? What players would you have? If you answer with "anyone but the guys that are there now because they are ....." then you have no real reason to criticise anyone trying to maintain a positive attitude. And before you say "maintain a positive attitude? You mean be deluded...etc etc" was Mr Struth deluded when he made his speech about us enduring times of hardship but coming through it stronger [and with the dignity of Rangers Men]? "

All joking aside - we have a posse on here who spend hours and hours on end calling Green a shyster etc etc. Each one without fail (as far as I'm aware) has come out at some point when challenged and stated something to the effect "not scared of saying what I think to anyone, if you don't like it.........., blah, blah". Well, what an opportunity to back up the 'bluster', or is it empty barrells make the most noise boys?????

It's a bit like me climbing a ladder and saying "every step I take I get closer to the moon". The fact that he hasn't fully settled a bill - then yes your statement stands up factually (in the same way as me getting closer to the moon). But in reality is he in the same league as Whyte was? That's the point, as is the case with all conspiracy theories - in the absence of hard evidence it becomes boring, and more often than not "unworthy of comment". Without it it's not the truth - it's a theory you have that you believe to be your truth.

You know what I reckon GS? When Green does come out and give it the 'you pesky kids' speech I reckon he will peel off the skin on his face and he will be Craig Whyte (never been seen together have they? ) Ally will then come in the room and he will see Whyte being rumbled, and he will make a run for it. The tea woman will trip him up. She will grab the skin off his face (give him a fly boot) and find he is actually Paul Le Guen back to prove he could do it. Whyte had persuaded him in Monaco that the plan could work. There is something in these types of HMRC cases where they always try to establish something called the 'Ramsay Principle' and they didn't manage it in our case. I think they are trying to get that re-established in this case to cover them in future cases otherwise they are stuffed. I'm hopeless trying to explain or understand the ins and outs, but it seems to be some kind of overruling judgement that you used the rules in a way that you avoided tax (could be wrong) that you really should have paid. Anyway HMRC will not seek further liability is my understanding - they just want the Ramsay thingy re-established. It would end up some kind of middle ground if they succeed with everybody and their granny arguing for evermore whether it means guilty or not guilty, but there won't be big tax penalties.

How much do you think he would have made out of the share issue if he had imposed a travelling ban on himself and not meeting potential investors etc? You are an awfully naive bloke if you think Charles Green still needs 'jollies' . He's not a 30 year old salesman.

CG won't need bottle (and guys like him have never lacked the 'know-how' or bottle to get rid of someone who is a potential hindrance to progress and financial gain, major share owner or not). Ally will go if Green tells him it's time. I will tell you that 100%. Ally will never allow our dirty linen to be washed in public (which a lot of so called fans could learn from). When CG tells him it's time to go there is absolutley no doubt he will show evidence that a large enough section of the fans want it. CG is not stupid. I know Ally (not as a mate) but well enough from my time in EK. They will be NO 'battle' to hold on. Even if he disagrees with CG's decision, he will go with dignity i.e. like a Rangers Man. For what it's worth I think it's time up for Ally but I don't have the appetite for a feeding frenzy on open forums. I always believed we had more class.
