  1. Don't mean to be negative - just curious. Have they got a certain amount of time before deciding and what course would it take if they did (keep it clean :-)) ?
  2. I can understand what you are saying as that was my initial reaction, until I watched it again. The point I was making is that he went on there prepared to be attacked, and it was clear he wasn't prepared for anything else. He would have used the same "you do yourself and your club a disservice with this conspiracy stuff" in his smug little pompous way. Why go after him in a knee-jerk reaction way? As I say I believe we WILL get him but 'revenge is sweet but best served COLD'. What's the rush, we've waited this long? Let's make sure we get him on our terms - not when he is sitting prepared for it.
  3. First of all I would have posted this in the Fury-Spiers thread, but that one is going off in a slightly different direction for what I want to say. I notice a lot of people are saying why didn't Chris go for the jugular with Spiers (excuse me if I don't use the nicknames, but I find them as annoying as Spiers). I disagree. If you watch Spiers right from the start and compare it to previous times he has appeared he is not the pompous prick waiting for his slot. This time he is there on the defensive and he knows it. Anyone who thinks he hasn't prepared his rhetoric before he came on is missing a key component I believe. He was prepared for being attacked as he has been on phone-ins this week i.e. "you do yourself and yours club's victory a disservice by coming on here and trying to make out we were all against you [pompous 'Gallowayesque' voice then cut off the caller]". What he struggles with is someone who is an academic and articulate with researched intelligence on the 'subject matter'. You see, he has gotten by on radio stations like RC with that upper class droll, and people get duped by that, when in actual fact he actually is no more researched than say - Gordon Dalziel. I'm not academic and am too long in the tooth to ever be now (come from an age when you left school at 16 to get an apprenticeship). That's why 'I get' Chris' approach. If I was on there I would have gone for the jugular with this little shit who meant my Club so much harm, but I would have played into his hands - because that's what he was prepared for. Watch him shift in his seat because there is calm around him and he can't impress the nation with his articulate defence in the face of aggression. Chris and Neil Patey just smiled at him - HE WAS ISOLATED and it was so obvious. To attack him now shows our hand. What's our rush? By God we've waited a long time for this. These people want us to attack with venom so that they can put their usual spin on events. There is an old adage that is fitting to me in how we should approach this - 'Revenge is sweet - but it's best served COLD'. Chris caught Spiers cold last night (intentional or not I don't care) by keeping calm and not allowing Spiers to put his pre-planned defence into action. That's what drew out the BLATANT lie that was proven today. Theres plenty of time to hit back but we do it ON OUR TERMS NOW when the time is right. I personally think our man Chris is a breath of fresh air. It's good to see a Rangers man who can bite when cornered but who can 'out-articulate' the supposed articulate. You've got my vote every time Chris. A real good Rangers man.
  4. Says it all!! Why don't you throw in a "newco" or two while you are there as well, and the odd "sporting integrity". "What the fuck am I on?" - 'my way' as I can't be ersed with your nonsense any more.
  5. Sorry, in what capacity have you been there 35 years? Oh - as a fan? Well he has been there a helluva a lot longer than you then. He was a fan way before that . Tut tut, as you say.
  6. Sorry you've lost me with that one. I don't remember me insulting anyone
  7. What kind of fucking daft arsed comment is that about a Rangers man who has already ploughed £20m into the Club, that you happen to have an issue with? If you ever get the chance to meet McCoist tell him that you would like that TWAT King kept away from the Club, and see what reaction you get. I happen to know what he thinks of King and he would go through you like a dose of salts.
  8. Stupid throw away insulting comment. "A guy turns up with a cheque " What do you mean "turns up" like some fly by night wanting a piece of the action. The guy has never been away. He has a LONG (longer than you probably) history with our Club, and was the one that Whyte struggled to get rid of after bumping the rest. As for "turns up with a cheque" shouldn't that be "another cheque"? Do us a favour mate? If you are going to resort to insulting Rangers fans please know what you are talking about (or rather - just don't!)
  9. Not in the same league. King is talking HIS cash, not Lloyds Bank's.
  10. I for one would welcome a proper Rangers man (with money to burn) back at The Club. I don't go in for all this naive nonsense that anyone who wants to invest in our Club should have a 'holier than thou' past. He's been tried and is now 'free' to spend his money again in this country, so what's the issue? The jurisdiction process has been followed. Did Abromavich make his money cleaning old folks houses and walking people's dogs? And before anyone starts we know Dave King's past all the way back to his 'died in the wool bluenose' days in Castlemilk. He's no Craig Whyte. This guy has done everuything there is to do in business. He knows more about business than the lot of the others put together, so save the comments about his business sense because it's laughable. This guy started with a tenner and became the "richest man in SA" according to SARS, and he would have had to bite and scratch (and yes maybe be a bit dodgy along the way) to get there. I don't judge him for that. 'Let those without sin cast the first stone'. He has my vote!
  11. He was the "richest man in SA" regardless of what tax was owed.
  12. Wait a minute - has this been on the cards for a couple of weeks???? Was McCoist told to get the suit, tank top and brown brogues off because Walter needed them back? Is that why he is cutting around in a tracksuit now? Mmmmm!
  13. I know what you mean. However I honestly believe he is a far bigger Rangers fan than Ally fan, and if it came to it he would put Rangers first. He knows what it means if our rise back to the top is halted and he won't let friendship with McCoist affect that.
  14. Kuznetsov, this may be too personal a question, but are you not getting any these days or something? Often a problem shared is a problem halved. You can tell me - I'm a doctor!
  15. It depends on personal opinion as to whether it "depends on his role" (if that makes sense). I like the news of his appointment regardless of his role as it is a real symbolic seal of approval for the Charles Green regime. He has slowly been winning people over but he always needed something like this to really cement his position in the eyes of the vast majority I believe. One thing that really puts any potential heavy investors off is the prospect of any uncertainty, unrest or disharmony. Walter brings massive credibility and stability to the Charles Green ship and that should not be underestimated in my eyes. We have missed it for so long. That is why I'm happy even if he is polishing the boots.
  16. It's not if you don't want it to be. Simples!
  17. Butcher's biography is the reason. He was told by a number of people at the Club what they thought of his classless act of dragging the club's name through the mud just for a few pieces of silver (or more likely to gain acceptance from the Rangers hating element and enhance job prospects, which still amounts to pieces of silver. Prick that he is!). He gave the rabid media and Rangers haters all they ever wanted to hear by telling them that sectarianism was rife within Ibrox, even down to slaughtering the wee old kit man Jimmy Bell. Utter lack of class and thankfully the Club ignored him publicly, but privately they let him know that he wasn't Rangers class.
  18. Meaning what?? Why would Butcher have 'the right' to have something personal against our Club?
  19. He also did an assassination 'kiss and tell' job on our kitman Jimmy Bell after he left concerning Mo Johnston. He made a hell of a lot of people within the Club pretty angry as there has always been an unwritten law that what goes on behind those walls stays behind there. You only had to look at his overboard celebrations on the park last night (all that 2 fingers up to the Heavens stuff and all that). I would NOT be happy to have the big shite back.
  20. I think you should have been a politician or spin doctor.
  21. To be honest it was more in response to Kusnetzov ruling everybody this side of the Zambezi River out of the reckoning apart from those 3. I suppose my question should have also included "compared to the others you have ruled out" e.g. Numan.
  22. If CEO stands for Challenging Everything Optimistic then I think you might be in the running mate.
  23. What pedigree do any of them have other than - they have been trying to do it for a long time but never quite made a really good job anywhere?
